Humans
Humans have no special abilities what-so-ever. They are good at one thing though. War, and manipulating their environment. They have always cut down trees, burned their surroundings, destroyed nature and put concrete over it. They are capable of great love and great destruction. For most of Earth's history they have been the center piece, that's probably because they wrote down most of earth's history.
In more recent history the humans have managed to fix a lot of problems they have caused in their environment, and helped to fix the tree problem after the disease hit. However, at the same time they were fixing the environment they also had a major population drop. From 9 billion people before the plague hit almost 2500 years ago to the 3 billion worldwide now.
Today the humans have broken up into many countries. There are roughly 200 countries, varying in size from the size of what used to be Texas or Alaska to the size of what used to be Maine (The state on the east coast of America). A lot of land hasn't been claimed by any country, and belongs to nature. There has recently been a need for expansion for the now again growing population, but many countries also want to preserve the wild. This has led to a war...
The last somewhat peaceful place for humans is Liba, the country who's government is willing to hunt down other species and experiment on them in order to protect their own people. It's for the good of mankind...
Test Subjects
At one time they were humans. Most of them are in their teenage years but their ages can vary. They have been modified artificially through both surgery and experimentation. All of them live in the Scarlet Rose Academy. They have their own sub-divisions. The one's still in the Scarlet Rose are either beaten or brain-washed into submission by the humans. They are trained to be human weapons, and spend most of their time locked inside the walls of the Scarlet Rose academy. Some of them, the "successful" creations are allowed to venture out. However they are not allowed to reveal themselves to the public...
* No Test Subjects are over the age of 30, in human age. Keep in mind that the Scarlet Rose has been in existence for thirteen years. The very first Test subjects usually died, and only some the youngest of them ( 13 - 14 years) survived at first. So thirteen years later they would be twenty-six or twenty seven at most. All the newer Test subjects would have usually at least thirteen, but there are still younger. Also, ALL of them were human to begin with.
Test Subject Loyalties
Loyal
The loyal test subjects have either been successfully brain washed, beaten into submission or just chose that it was the right path for them. They understand why they are needed. They wish to fight in the war and defend their country, to avoid everyone dieing. Or maybe they are just happy to have cool super powers and want to save the world. Either way, they are given special privileges and some of them, if they keep their training grades up go on missions with Turics to capture more humans for the labs or to try and capture rebels. Their privileges include getting to go to the 4th level of the scarlet rose or more free time outside their cells.
Unloyal
These test subjects are not happy about being locked up in white cells with no entertainment. The don't enjoy the scientists experimenting on them, or beating them for misbehaving. They usually don't behave themselves and are often in trouble. They don't get privileges, and can't go on missions. They are locked up for most of their time... They were not successfully brainwashed, and they refused to bow under the pressure of the authorities. They usually try escaping at least once or twice, and don't really care if their country needs them or not.
Escapees
These test subjects have escaped the Scarlet rose and are most likely teaming up with the vampires and werewolves in rebelling against the Scarlet Rose. They are few in numbers, and were unloyal when they were int he Scarlet rose.
Sub-Divisions!
Test Subjects - Group A
The "A" stands for animal. These Test subjects were some of the first to be created. They were mixed with the DNA of one type of animal. The animal species and person were matched up for the most compatible outcomes. The Scientists were willing to try almost any species of animal, but they usually stuck to mammals, reptiles or avian creatures, in order to get strong subjects who would definitely be able to breathe oxygen. Amphibians and insects weren't very willingly used, but a few might exist. There weren't any fish however. Also a few extinct animals have been cloned and their DNA has been used as well.
Test subject of the A group often sport animal parts, or strange colorings or their hair and/or eyes. The insides of their bodies are often different from normal humans as well. If they had avian DNA they might have a larger heart and lungs, stronger muscles, a faster metabolism, and lighter, thinner bones, and wings. Test subjects in the group A usually end up having some of the same adaptions as their animal. These Subjects often have animal like instincts, and can be very dangerous in hand to hand combat. They won't find it hard to survive in the wild either.
Test Subjects - Group D
The "D" stands for Demon. These Test Subjects are some of the newest additions to the Test Subjects, they are very powerful. Their DNA is infused with that of Demons. Most of them have picked up bad behavior, and negative, sometimes self destructive traits in their personalities from being fused with demons. Because there are multiple types of demon these test subjects are complicated. We have split them up below to give you a look at them according to what they have been fused with.
Test subjects fused with Animons.
If they were fused with dog Animon DNA they have grown in height at least 6 inches. They have grown sharp canines like that of a dog, and their saliva has become toxic, you better hope they don't lick or kiss you. The only ones who can't be poisoned by their poisonous saliva is other dog animon test subjects group D or actual dog animons. They have inhuman strength, and they have been known to have just a dog tail.
If they were fused with fox animon DNA they have probably shrunk at least 3 inches. They will have grown a fox tail, and are able to create illusions. Its very amazing they can control illusions with their minds, and also have telekinetic powers.
If they are fused with jaguar animon DNA they have become faster than most test subjects. They also have more flexibility then should be possible. They make cat women look like she's stiff. They're perfect for the circus! They can easily climb things and squeeze into tight places, if their head fits they can slip through it. They tend to be more playful, and use the fact that they smell as sweet as real demons to get their way occasionally...
If they are fused with cougar animon DNA they have become faster then any of the other test subjects. They also have more flexibility then should be possible. They make cat women look like she's stiff. They're perfect for the circus! They can easily climb things and squeeze into tight places, if their head fits they can slip through it. They tend to be more playful, and use the fact that they smell as sweet as real demons to get their way occasionally. They are usually a bit sadistic. They are wonderful climbers and their balance is absolutely perfect.
If they are fused with snake animon DNA they are just as flexible as the Jaguars. They have snake like fangs, and they can eat absolutely anything. They also have the telekinetic powers.
Test subjects fused with Tremons.
Usually they have very strange hair colors, and are usually pale. Also they have pointed ears, and their hair grows fast. Their powers include telekinetic powers, changing eye colors of any color, floating without wings, and they can turn translucent (almost see-through). They cannot turn completely invisible. They can start fires or make ice though. They are as fast as strong as test subjects in the V group and they smell as sweet as real demons.
Test Subjects - Group H
The "H" stands for human. These test subjects only have their own DNA. The scientists took samples of their DNA, toggled it to get rid of any weak traits, and then used it to change them into super humans. They have become super strong, fast, flexible, well-balanced, healthy and it also gives them better reflexes and stamina. They have all the great features of being human, 10 times better. They are the only kind of test subject capable of going through a second set of experiments to gain more power from a different group. Since they are still only human, they can be fused with other species still. But since they have such dominant DNA the second fusion may not work well... The other species traits only add on to their current ones, it doesn't erase them.
Test Subjects - Group V
The "V" stands for Vampire. These Test Subjects have either stopped aging, or started to age very slowly. They might look like their still fifteen but really be nineteen by now. (That was just an example) They have fangs, and long, sharp finger nails. They are extremely fast, and extremely strong. They have a sense of smell just as sharp as a vampire's, their hearing is that good as well. Their eyes flash red occasionally. They have no thirst for blood, but they eat a lot. A few of them have the thirst for blood actually, and their fangs have the same chemical that makes the bite very pleasant for those who do have the thirst. They do not turn others into vampires! They do not heal any faster than a normal human either.
Test Subjects - Group W
The "W" stands for werewolf. These test subjects age normally. They are either extremely fast or strong. They all have claws that secrete a toxin that can easily kill, and also melt through organic materials. They have extremely good noses and ears. A few of them have a wolf tail, not very many, but a few.
Vampires
The vampires have been in hiding for most of time, very few humans outside of the government know they truly exist. Vampires drink blood, but they have taken up drinking artificial (synthetic) blood in order to distance themselves from humans. Some even drink animal blood on occasion. Most of them are attractive. Vampires don't burst into flame in sunlight, but it is rather annoying to them, it feels like being in harsh artificial light all day to them. They can choose to show their real eye color or to have their eyes glow red, or they can simply let their eyes flash red, it's really up to them.
Vampire society is like an exclusive club. To humans it would look like nothing more then a cult, sect, or maybe a secret society of some sort. It doesn't seem out of the ordinary at all. Vampires look and act just like humans for the majority of their time. It is easy to blend in with the humans, when most believe you don't exist, and the only thing setting you apart are your dietary needs and powers and life span and etc... any who, they are all pretty wealthy, even the lower class vampires. They live in ease for the most part... They only have to make sure that none of the humans figure out what they are.
Vampire bites have a chemical in their saliva and fangs that makes their bites very enjoyable. As soon as they bite you your on cloud nine, but as soon as they stop it hurts again and your average human will not be happy at all. Vampires have stopped feeding on humans all together, and doing it is considered taboo since it could give away the entire vampire species and get them all into trouble. However some vampires still feed off each other. Feeding off another vampire is considered something that only couples do, so its usually not something you see unless the vampires are in a relationship, or the one doing the biting is an Ex biting their creator. There is not much nutritional value in the blood unless thevictim of the bite is a more powerful vampire then the biter. When they bite they can feel the person's deep feelings through the taste of the blood. So they know who you really love when they bite you, xD.
When they die they turn to dust. However, some vampires are harder to kill then others. All vampires heal quickly, but they can't do it unless they drink enough blood. For serious injuries they need to drink a lot of blood. It's still rare to see any vampires with scars, although it sometime happens. Most vampires can live for around two thousand years at most, if they aren't killed or die of illness and very few actually get that old. However, some vampires are completely immortal and can never die. The only vampires who can change humans into vampires by biting them are the purebloods.
All vampires are stronger and faster then humans. They have a wonderful sense of smell, and their ears are sharp as well,so they can listen to your blood rushing through your veins. They have fangs, and their eyes can be any color, but can flash red if the vampire decided to do that. Vampires keep their distance from humans, and their main government is located in Liba...
The main population of vampires are not being hunted down for experimentation at Scarlet Rose. The only vampire you will find in the Scarlet Rose is the king, the most powerful of them, a pureblood. As an immortal they don't have to worry about accidentally killing him, and since his blood is some of the purest, his DNA is more potent and works better for their testing. As you can imagine the vampire population is not happy at all. The vampire council has been in charge while the king is away, but they don't enjoy the responsibility very much. The vampires are very loyal to their monarch and are busy forming a rebellion against the Scarlet Rose at the moment.
The Vampires are a very complicated species. They work like royalty. There are five royal families, the Kiri, Lavitte, Badica, Drago, and Cross. They are good sized families and they are very important. That is because they are the only families to still have purebloods amongst them.
There is a social pyramid among vampires.
Purebloods
On the top are Purebloods, who don't have a drop of human blood in their veins, they are the most powerful vampires in existence and the only ones capable of turning humans into vampires. Their powers vary with the individual, but they command all other vampires at their will. They all have the ability to erase the memories of humans and vampires alike. They can use telekinesis, control any and every element and are the strongest and fastest vampires. Very few are in existence today, luckily they are immortal, they age only a little slower then humans and stop aging altogether in their early twenties.
It is a normal thing to see purebloods marrying multiple times in their lifetime. They are immortal and if they don't marry another pureblood, their mate will eventually die. So some purebloods have indeed married a Nobel at some time in their life. Usually though they end up with a pureblood in the end, it would be hard after all to see all your lovers die and leave you behind. Many purebloods have come across the problem that being immortal sucks when most of your species dies just after a few centuries or millenniums.
The only way to kill them is to completely tear out their heart, and then completely suck their blood dry. Their blood is capable of healing wounds, diseases and giving other non-pureblood vampires more power. The only one who can control them is the king of vampires, who is also a pureblood of the Kiri family, the Kiri family is the most powerful family of vampires and have been the monarchs for over two thousand years.
* note that there are 30 purebloods at most worldwide, and there will be a very restricted number of them on the site.
Nobles
Nobel vampires exist above the usual vampires and below purebloods. They are most likely in the royal family, they just aren't purebloods. They are powerful, but nothing like the purebloods. They can usually only somewhat control an element. The element can vary with the individual. Some of them might be able to make ice appear at random, another my be able to start fires without rubbing sticks together, or maybe one could move water with their mindand drown you with it. Not all of the Nobles have these capabilities however, and its sort of rare to have them even if you are a noble. Most Nobles are simply much, much faster and stronger then most lower class vampires.
*Vampires who are 20% human or less are considered Nobles
Lower Class
These vampires are still stronger and faster than humans, but they don't live nearly as long as the Nobles. They usually live up to five hundred years at the longest. Their ancestors mixed a lot with humans and they can be up to 70% human at times. The more human blood in their veins, the weaker they are and the shorter their lives. There are no vampires who are more than 70% human because over the time that vampires stopped associating with humans much the human blood has been filtered out. Also those weaker vampires just had a hard time surviving the fights between pure bloods before a stable government was established. (The purebloods used mind control on the weak, mostly human vampires and turned them into pawns in their battles for power.)
Exs
Exs are ex-humans. They have been bitten by a pureblood and changed into a vampire. They serve their creator unquestioningly, since becoming a vampire forms a strange bond between Exs and their creators. The Exs are dependent on their creators for blood since the artificial blood cannot satisfy their thirst for blood. If they don't get blood from their creator once every year or so they will slowly go insane. Insane Exs have been known to slaughter humans and have to be destroyed. They are looked down on by all other vampires, and are often killed by Nobles. There are few of them anymore since Purebloods now consider it a taboo to make them. They stop aging, and are as fast and strong as any lower-class vampires. However they have an incredible thirst for blood and tend to be unstable...
*the number of Exs will be very restricted...
