Adaptions
Enhanced Hearing: Cat's ears have become extremely fine tuned to the noises around her. It is hard for her to ever have silence.
Night vision: That's pretty explanatory.
Enhanced Jumping skills: Cat can jump incredibly high, thanks to the added muscles in her legs.
Enhanced Balance: Cat's balance has improved tremendously since she had the injection.
Elongated Fingernails: Her fingernails have become sharp and pointy, much like claws.
Enhanced sense of smell: A cat's sense of smell far exceeds a normal human- it more than doubles their capability.
Pressure sensitive feet: Her feet feel both vibration and pressure, especially on her soles and toes.
Increased Agility: She is able to move faster, much like a cat.
Fangs: the fangs make it easier to catch prey.
Faster heartbeat: A cat's heart beats around five times faster then a humans.
Extra tissue in the larynx (vice box): This actually allows her to purr.
No sweating: The injection got rid of her sweat glands, as cat's do not have them.
Higher body temperature: A cat's body temperature ranges from 100.5 and 102.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Cat's body changed its temperature to accommodate the injection.
Appearance »»
Cat's appearance is somewhat similar to a small kitten. She has long blond hair that is tied with two ribbons, respectively one each division. In total there are four ribbons in her hair. These ribbons are white and keep her hair firmly in place. She keeps her hair tied in two ponytails in front of her shoulders. With full bangs that go down to her eyes Cat sometimes has trouble seeing out of them. She also has one single hair that stands up no matter how much she brushes it down. Normally she wears a headband or a beret for hair accessories.
Cat's big bright blue eyes are masked behind a thin pair of oval glasses. She needs them to see ans they suit her more then contacts, at least that is what she believes. With a small, nose and mouth Cat looks sort of like a small kitten. Especially when she sleeps, since she ends up curling in a ball.
With a slender figure, but small stature, Cat makes the most of what little height she has. She is easily the smallest of the group and Is often mistaken for a younger student, even though they know how old she is according to the records.Cat is around five two and weighs around 100 pounds. She is a bit underweight, but it doesn't really matter, as she doesn't eat a lot.
When it comes to her attire Cat is fairly girly in dress. She normally wears thigh-high white stockings or knee-high black socks. Cat at the moment has two pairs of shoes, a short lace-up boot and a just below the knee pair of boots. Cat alternates between a light blue pleaded skirt and a black trimmed, red and black plaid skirt. She, if wearing the red and black, will have a mini apron on over the skirt as it goes tightly around her waist, and stops just at her breastbone. From there up she wears a shirt that is red with puffy sleeves, elongating her arms until the cuffs reach the middle of her hand. There are bows on the sleeves and they alternate between red and black. Also there is a small tiw on this outfit.
If she is wearing the pale blue, or white pleated skirt She will wear layers on the top both a different shade of blue. The arms of this combination go down to the middle of her forearm and a bracelet does accompany this set. Along with this set she wears a bell necktie.

Overall Personality »»
Cat is often called timid and shy, but once you get to know her you will see that she is kind and caring. Cat, ever since she was little, has been a realist who believed in fairy tales. Most people think that this is entirely contradicting. But to Cat it is not so. She knows and feels what others do when they write something, but she thoroughly believes in the magic of words and reading. Even when she was little she would dutifully go to the library every day after school and get a stack of books. She would sit there and read until she fell asleep dreaming of the stories that she had read. Cat believes in people, but knows the harsh realities too.
Cat is in some ways childlike. She just gives off the feeling of needing someone. Being almost always alone she can be hard to approach. If you do break down her walls you will find someone who is just highly insecure. She relies on people’s feelings too much, and is very observant of those around her, to see and hopefully tell what they are thinking, not to mention feeling. She would rather have her nose in a book then be out in the real word, especially since it is the Academy.
When Cat is forced to fight and tests are being run on her by the scientists she adopts a different nature though. She ends up pushing away those emotions that are telling her to give up and to cry and that it is wrong. In order to survive she convinces herself that what she is doing is good and it will benefit her in the long run. She has to hide the feelings of hate for the scientists and the whole academy, under a good “loyal” attitude. In truth she hates what she is doing and hates being taken. True, she had no where else to go, but she figures that anywhere is better then here.
Cat puts on this facade because she knows she can do as she likes when she does. The benefits outweigh the risks and consequences that were associated with it. Some might say she was selling out, others might say she was a traitor. All Cat is trying to do is survive. She just wants to get by life unnoticed and get through this whole process without making any enemies. Unfortunately that mostly means not having friends either. Cat was used to this anyway, but it does get a bit lonely.

History »»
It was a rainy day when a writer took solace in the public library of the small little town. He was visting on a journey for creative muse. He was only stopping in the two for one week, they were said to have the best views from the mountains. She was shelving the books in that small library, putting the books where they went, going about her job. She was 25, and had grown up here int his small town. He was 28 and was a city boy through and through. Lilly Bind was about to be swept off her feet by the writer of her favorite books John Novella.
As soon as the two met they hit it off, and soon afterwards they were happily dating. John moved his base of operations to the small town just to be with her. She was his ife and about two years after they met he propsed to her. It was a short sweet wedding that allowed their immediate family to come. Somehow the press got ahold of it though and it was exposed to the world.
Mr. and Mrs. Novella were now in the spotlight, bringing the small town with them. When the press found out that Lilly was pregnant just two months after they had a field day. Since so much pressure was on them they had to be extremly secretive about what was going on. At the right time, on Janurary 23 at 4:30 in the morning Catherine Paige Novella was born, it was only a few minutes after that the press found out.
Cat grew up living a sheltered life. She was homeschooled and had a higher education level then most of the kids her age. She was given any books she wanted to read and was tutored in all subjects from Art to the Classics. Cat never really took advantage of this, other then to have a full library of any book she could imagine or want. She didn't understand kids her own age and made no effort to interact with them. She was happiest with her mom and dad and her pet cat Silver.
It was her 14th birthday when it happened. Cat had asked to go to somewhre warm for her brithday. Eagerly her parents had agreed and wanted to please her for her birthday. They had rented a private plane and were eagerly on their way when something went wrong. Cat didn't know what it was, but she remembered her mother and father screaming and trying to calm her as they went down in the plane. The last thing she remembers from that is her mother and father holding each other as blood flowed out of their heads after the impact.
When she woke again she was in a room with a strange person hovering over her. She was only awake for a little while but she remembers the needles piercing her skin and the doctoor having a strange look on their face, almost happy. It scared Cat.
After that she was in and out of concousness. Eentually one day she awoke and everything felt different. It hurt and everything was sensitive. Her eyes could see more, everything that she smelled was magnified and nothing was right. She literally fell out of bed only to land on her hands and feet. She was panicing and almost having heart attack, at least it felt that way her heart was beating so fast. She could hear things. Words floating into her head stuck out.
“Test subject”... “Bomb”...”Orphan”...”Russian blue”...
She could hear crying and screams. They stuck out in her head as she tried to drown them out putting her hands to her ears, her fingernails scrathing her face, drawing blood. Eventaully she gave up, and curled up in a ball, trying to comprehend what was going on. She didn't understand and everything was so enhanced. She didn't fel like herself and she didn't undersrtand why.
One day, after Cat had gotten semi used to her new traits she was taken fro her cell and told to watch the video. As Cat watched it she realised what was going on. She understod what was happeneing, but she didn't like it. She didn't want to be apart of this. All she wanted was a book. She hadn't had a book in a long time.
After the movie, the endless hours of the movie, Cat was sent to a room that had others like her. Others that were different. She was told to fight, they were going to train her. Cat wanted to say no, wanted to stop. She didn't want this all she wanted was to go home.
Eventually Cat got good as killing. She especially excelled in knives and daggers, killing that way. She was trained and then trained again so she could become the “perfect solider”. The day when Cat was forced to almost kill another subject was the day she got a reward. When she went back to her cell there was a book sitting on her bed. It had been so long since she had seen one she almost started to cry. She greedily went over to it and sat on her bed, reading, then rereading, then rereading.
Cat realized that if she became perfect, she would be able to get more. So Cat threw herself into the tests, the subjects, and the training. She was striving to become the best, in order for more knowledge, more books. Eventually cat was labeled as “loyal”.
She wasn't loyal though. In actuality Cat only convinced herself, if only for a short time, that what she as doing was good. She ignored all of the feelings coming up inside of her knowing it was wrong. She hated the whole thing, she just wanted to be left alone and to not go through this. She hated the tests, the drugs and everything about this laboratory. Out of the training rooms Cat was left alone and she left others alone. She blended in, to not draw attention to herself. It was better to be invisible. Soon enough she was given rights to wander freely among the campus building as she wasn't considered a threat.
Cat used this to her advantage. She was in the library almost all of the time, reading. She showed up for tests, did everything they asked and was the “perfect” subject. She has been here for roughly a year and has successfully learned to lend in and not draw attentino to herself. Half of the people don't even know she exists.
