Raye has all the normal powers associated with a werewolf, with the notable exception that she is one of the rare few who is forced to become a wolf during full moon. She can become werewolf or full wolf, but much prefers the latter. She's also notably fast for a werewolf (hence her family name) and naturally gifted when it comes to getting from A to B quickly, and in possession of a more acute sense of smell than most.
Raye is small, standing at only 5' 3'', with a slim-medium build. She keeps her black hair short, and often covers it with a cap or a hood of some kind. She tends to shy away from skirts and dresses, or anything too overtly 'girly', preferring jeans and jackets.
In werewolf and wolf form she is black furred all over, retaining the same green eyes she possesses in human form. As a werewolf she stands little under 7 feet, and is lithe and agile. As a wolf she's slightly smaller than average.

Overall Personality »»
Raye is not exactly the social sort. She tends to try and run from problems rather than confront them. Shy and reticent, she's not an open person, but nor is she that easy to read. Emotionally strong, for the most part, her worst enemy is herself when it comes to matters of the heart. Likely to avoid people where possible (particularly in large groups) she will occasionally try and connect with another person, but very rarely. She is distrustful of others at first meeting, and especially distrustful of the old.
Being raised in a pure werewolf culture outside of the influence of the relatively human-sensitive Werewolf government in Liba means that for the first part of her life Raye was essentially raised as both wolf and girl, meaning that even though she is technically 21, in appearance and thought she is not much older than a typical human 16 year old.
She speaks with a noticeably different accent, which can make her self conscious, and unwilling to speak for herself at times. That said, when it comes

Raye is not a native of the land of Liba. She was born far in the North in the town of Clear Streams. The town (A completely werewolf settlement) lies in what her people call the Siraden; literally the 'Land of Ghosts'. The area was one of the first to recover from the plague that ravaged the world's forests (some suggest it was a test area for the type of replanting that would take place in other parts of the world) and has returned almost completely to wilderness.
The few settlements that do exist often lie in the shadow the older ones that came before, and are almost exclusively populated by Werewolves. It is unknown how or from where the Werewolves came to the Siraden, but it is generally accepted as being theirs now. The clans there have for many decades, possibly centuries, fought eachother for dominance of the area and the title of High King. The feuding escalated into outright war 39 years ago, and attracted many mercenaries and adventurers to the area.
The town of Clear Streams was a nowhere place in the great wilderness of the Siraden. There, the Swift-Fang clan had made their home for many years. It was Raye's father's decision to side with one of the many factions that spelled doom for him and his family. Raye was only 15, a very young age for a werewolf, when her father and older siblings went off to battle their enemies at the river south of the town. Raye, who was eager to see her father fight, escaped from her mother's arms and followed them. She made her way to a rocky outcrop overlooking the river.
By the time she got there, it had already begun. She remembers very few of the details, save seeing her father battle another werewolf; a female with white hair and red eyes, and watching her kill him. The Swift-Fang war band was completely wiped out. The victors then proceeded to pillage the settlement, killing every last person and burning the town to the ground.
One of the soldiers found Raye hiding in the outcrop. In a burst of anger and a ferocity she'd never known she'd had, Raye tore his throat out. Then she ran. She ran further than she'd ever run before into lands she'd never even heard of. Ever since that dark day, she's carried on running, further and further south. She's had to grow up by herself, with only the passing kindness of strangers to see her through. It's been hard, but she's still alive. Finally she came to the state of Liba.
She successfully avoided the first Turics she encountered in the forest, and made it inside the city walls. Her experience on the road had taught her how to survive at least, and she soon found shelter in an abandoned apartment block where she's made her new home. She's decided to finally stop wandering and try and get her life back on track, and maybe find out more about the world she lives in.
