Ray Is very fast, in human form he can easily win sprints without barely breaking a sweat, and in wolf form he can keep up with a car, doing almost 80mph, but only for short stints without becoming completely fatigued. This isn't entirely something he was just 'granted', being the weaker of twin wolves Ray learned from a young age to run or die, sacrificing potential strength. When it comes to physical straight Ray is almost always beaten by other wolves, he can run you around rings and never be caught, but corner him and he'll almost certainly be forced to give in. He can turn into a full wolf or a wereform like this brother. He usually only uses his wolf form as a way to show submission as it is quite a bit smaller to his usual werewolf form.
Appearance »»
Ray's human appearance is so damned plane he seems abnormal. He's 5.4ft (1.65m), weighing only 8 stone. Your classic lanky teenage boy. He appears to be about 16 years of age, dark brown hair and big brown doe eyes. He tries to keep his hair short, reaching his shoulders at it's longest but with his current setting it's gone to hell, knotted and badly cropped out of his eyes if bothered with at all. Though he loves bright colours, and if he had it his way he's wear nothing but bright reds and pastel blue, sadly however that little spark of shyness still sits with him, even in such a confined space, so he keeps to whatever he sees other males wearing, deep browns and greys generally, hoodies and combats galore. His chest and legs are covered in bite and scratch marks, usually scraps between himself and his brother, though some from his old pack. Pinpricks dart down his arms making him look like some kind of junkie, but alas that is just a side effect of being a captive wolf.
As a werewolf his fur has a very definite red running from his muzzle to the tip of his tail like some viscous war scar still bleeding all along his back in a clear stripe, with patched of red hair dotted throughout the tar black that covered the rest of his body, with the exception of white paws.

Ray is a walking battery. He's always 'on' never still for long, always jittery. If he has to sit long his leg would twitch, or he'd have to find something to fiddle with. Asking him to sit perfectly still is beyond him. Ray can't keep to himself if it kills him, he thrives off social connections and personal space is just not a concept he ever has, or ever planned to learn. If he can cling off of you there isn't anything short of a punch that will stop him.
Though Ray can be shy, or not shy but easily embarrassed. Despite how open he expects others to be with him he's not very open himself. He tends to bury his true intentions or thoughts if it thinks someone else wont like them. He seldom likes talking about himself and when he does he almost always puts himself down, sometimes on purpose, but usually from habit.
For a werewolf he's not the most aggressive, learning early on in his life that he was not going to be able to beat his brother, and that not being alpha meant you were protected, something he got a little 'too' used to. There was always someone ready to clean up his messes, so rather than trying to take over the world, he curved his natural aggression into mischief, from putting food dye in toothpaste, to sticking glue in your shampoo, petty little things usually. But when things don't go in his favor he'll turn tail and plead for the help of just about anyone bigger and willing at the time, not leaving much room to even practice fighting.

History »»
Natalie Farris came from a very strict family which were massively right wing. Through her life she was expected to dress act and be a certain way, and that way was perfect. For the most part she was successful, she was beautiful, blonde and quite smart with a flare (albeit forced) for classical instruments.
As she grew older, like any teenage girl, she began to seek her independence, wore clothes her parents didn't approve of, and took an interest in boys. It wasn't until her senior years that she met 'him'. Just an ordinary boy one would think, but there was something that drew her to him, something wild. She fell hard.
However despite her best efforts he always seemed to keep a distance, never talking about his past, never liking to go into the towns. She knew he lived somewhere outside the city, but had no idea where, she knew he had a big family but she could never meet them. But two weeks before she left for university, he asked her to marry him. Despite her better judgement she couldn't say no.
Finn however had his reasons for all this secrecy. He was son to an alpha werewolf. As such he was expected to marry another wolf to make alliances with a neighboring pack, or at least one from his own pack. But Finn was utterly and irreparably in love with a human girl from the city. For a long time he tried to avoid her, to cure his infatuation, to get over her. He tried everything, from avoiding her, to dating other women, but nothing worked, he always ended up coming back to her.
He cursed the day he met her the day he gave up his games and chose to stay with her. But the pack would be furious over this, and he feared the family hurting her. So they decided to elope. Natalie took all her savings and they ran.
From France, Germany, across Europe they ran, and for a time they were happy. They wed during a thunderstorm in London. But the rain wind or sleet didn't matter, both would remember it for the rest of their lives. The world was a good place. Up until the accident.
Natalie's parents had been in a bad wreckage. By the time she heard her father had passed on, and her mother was in intensive care for a week. Whether Finn liked it she was going to see them. So they were forced to leave for Liba.
By the time they arrived Natalie's mother had passed on and the pack were waiting. While Natalie mourned Finn was forced to leave her alone and face the pack who were not happy with his departure. He was given one last chance to 'redeem' himself by cutting all tied with Natalie and never looking for her again. Something he obviously refused. As such he was forced to leave her or fight for alpha.
Finn lost. He was mortally wounded as he wondered back to Natalie's side where she told him that he was to be a father. The last thing he ever heard.
Natalie was left there, crying over her dead husband, with no money, no family, nothing but the clothes on her back and a growing child, Finn's last gift to her. Natalie didn't break though, she became stone. She grew conceited and bitter. All she cared for now was her own survival.
She married a wealthy man who could care for her and her children, but in truth they both knew she was little more than a trophy wife, but it was better than living on the streets, particularly when it came to her attention she was having not one, but two children, twin boys.
They were born a minute apart, completely identical. They looked almost exactly like their father, save lankier, and both were werewolves. Raising them was almost beyond her. Natalie was only human after all, and no mother should have to care for a 'child' for 30 years.
Ray was the younger twin, 68 seconds younger than Carson. through their childhood they were inseparable. They grew up watching their mother decay, Carson accepted this, but Ray found it hard to, he loved his mother, despite her anger towards him and his brother. Natalie always found it hard to face the twins, partly because to her they're slow aging was unnatural, but also for their resemblance to Finn who she had tried to completely cut from her life. Every picture, ever memory, everything about Finn she had thrown away, all but their wedding picture which she hid.
When the twins were ten (about 2 human years) Natalie's second husband left her, finding her now too old now that she had hit the 30 mark, and the kids impossible. But he'd left her with enough money to get by and care for the kids, not willingly of course, but it was in her right seeing as she had been married for ten years.
Natalie blamed the kids for it, and largely it was their fault, and she made sure they knew it. Although her husbands infidelity might have something to do with it, in truth he left her for a younger woman he knocked up. While his parents fought Ray and Carson just enjoyed the most of their childhood, being barely the equivalent of 3 years of age in human terms. The pack their father ran with found out about the twins they tried to taken them from Natalie, but that was impossible without dragging attention to themselves her second husband was a powerful man. However after the divorce they became bolder and there were three separate attempts to take the twins, but each time either Natalie or her ex husband would step in.
When the kids were fifteen (five in human years) Natalie's ex husbands new wife passed on from a cancer and the two married again the next year. Natalie never liked her husbands new daughter though and did what she could to avoid the child. The twins followed their mothers example and ignored her when she was lucky, when Kit was unlucky Ray, not so much Carson, would play all sorts or horrible pranks on her.
When Kit, his sister, was 15, meaning Ray was about 30 (10ish in human years) she ran from home. He hasn't seen her since. His life thus far has been a haze of playing games with his brother and watching friends of his and people around him grow old and move on, leaving him behind. After awhile Natalie just pulled the kids out of schools to stop questions and hired them tutors. Ray was always bullied by each generation of children around but Natalie didn't want anyone to find out that their ability to turn into wolves. Sure money changed hands and contracts of silence were drawn up, but that was just one of the perks of being a wealthy trophy wife, you loose ends were as hidden as your wallet was deep.
Ray used to love the old Greek stories, but probably loved them too much, the story of Prometheus is likely why he's terrified of birds. His life otherwise has been pretty unremarkable, many a spat with his brother but otherwise he's just this unknown wolf hidden away by some old woman who is now a shell of her former self and almost on her death bed. A perfect target for the scarlet rose.
It happened quickly. Finn Roland's pack was being pressed to offer up one of their own to the scarlet rose in order to pay off a debt to Zane. Partly to protect their own, and partly to tie up loose ends with their wayward brother, they chose whichever twin they could get their hands on to hand up. That twin just happened to be Ray, though Carson's days are, undoubtedly, numbered. Catching him way easy, they just waited until he went into town to shop for his now decrepit mother and snatched him on the way home, hell, he was too shocked to even put up a fight.
When they handed him over no one really cared to ask any questions, the wolves were happy that their friends were safe, and the humans didn't really care, one wolf was as good as another.
