Hana had been following Dr.Connel around all day. It was his turn to "baby-sit" today. She didn't appreciate the older doctors teasing her about being so young. She didn't want to be a nurse forever. She was basically being an intern to become a doctor here at the SRA. Mostly though, she was just a simple nurse, trying to learn whatever she could from the wiser doctors. Today she had learned that there would be a very serious meeting between the more learned medical team. Dr. Connel and Dr.Levisque were among the several doctors expected to be there. It wasn't top secret or anything, but not that many nurses were supposed to be there. Hana was pretty excited to be allowed to sit in on this. She might be able to learn something, and she sort of had a thing for the "doctor brothers" as the nurse called them. she absolutely loved hanging around with Dr.Connel, and his daughter was sooooo cute! Dr.Levisque was attractive in his own, creepy-crawly sense. To be honest though, she was a little intimidated by him. Natural bird instincts against a predator like a snake. Hana being intimidated though usually just translating on her acting even more tom-boyish. When Dr.Connel and Hana arrived at the meeting, she found that everyone else was there. Oh no. Wait. There was one empty seat. Dr.Levisque wasn't there, she wasn't surprised for some reason though. What did surprise her was Dr.Connel turning to her with threat classic perma-smile of his. Well that's what the nurses called it, since he always had that exact expression painted on his face. "Miss.Haruka could you please go find Dr.Levisque, we will wait a few minutes for him to arrive, but we won't cancel. If he doesn't show it isn't that important, but I would appreciate him being here." There was a spark in his eye though. Hana nodded, wondering if that spark she was seeing was annoyance. She was disappointed that she was missing out on the meeting, btu she could take that out on the dumbass who decided to play hooky. Hana shut the door behind her quietly, sighing. Her beautiful jade eyes looked around the hallway. The best place she could think of searching for the doctor would be in his lab area. So off she went. She was wearing tan boots that came up to her mid shin, they fit the season. Accompanying the boots was a Asian style, short, red dress. It was her favorite dress and she wore it all the time. Her footsteps were quiet, she didn't weigh much after all, it wasn't like she was capable of making any creaking noises on the tile floor anyway. Soon she found herself outside Dr.Levisque's lab door. She waited a moment, raising her fist slowly. Wondering if she would disturb him badly by abruptly knocking. Then again just walking in suddenly without warning would be even more disruptive. She could care less about his personal feelings about this subject. She just didn't want to be the reason why he might slip with a scalpel and cut someone's artery. However from what she could see out here there was no surgery going on so it should be safe... Hana just decided to knock on the door. She didn't do just some simple quiet knock, she really pounded on it. Force of habit, growing up with a bunch of boys you usually had to be heard over loud rock music or the wrestling and yelling of the boys when they got into their dumb fights. She was probably the toughest in her family since she had to be on the bottom of every dog pile. She had taught her brothers their places in the social order of their family as soon as she got old enough though. Of course, her family thought she was dead now. Not much of a legacy of being the toughest if she had died at just age eighteen... It had almost been a year now though, so they probably weren't thinking too hard on her anyhow... Hana just waited for a response to her loud, sudden knocking.
notes; i'm excited for this one xD word count; uh i didn't check lol. Over 700 i'm sure of though. or actually 701 to be exact xD

Post by Dr. Alzeid Levisque on Nov 21, 2011 21:53:06 GMT
Of course, Doctor Alzeid Levisque realized that there was an important meeting today. At least, it was said to be important. He knew that not many of the nurses were even invited. Meeting’s like this weren’t always the most common thing, so he couldn’t help but to wonder what this would all be about. Had they come up with new experiment ideas; or were there issues with some of the already existing test subjects? He was hoping it had nothing to do with him personally; it wasn’t as if he was doing anything wrong... Was he? Well, he always washed his bloody hands before any kind of operation, and his laboratory was kept clean and tidy at all times. Perhaps to the point where one might think he had an obsessive compulsive disorder to keep things from being a mess. He wasn’t one to obsess over sanitary conditions, but it was important to prevent any deaths on his operating table. It would be a terrible situation if someone was to die because of a few specks of extra dust upon his equipment.
Alzeid wasn’t normally known to be late for things. Well, he was occasionally, but not for meetings. In fact, for meetings he was always there fifteen minutes early... Or, shamelessly, five minutes late. But that wouldn’t be the case this time. Oh, no. In fact, this time he had no intentions to go to the meeting at all. It wasn’t as if he was nervous or anything along those lines, and it wasn’t like he had anything better to do. Maybe he was just playing hooky? Being a lazy, lounging reptile like his animalistic instincts longed for him to indulge upon. Surprisingly, this wasn’t the case either. Doctor Alzeid Levisque wasn’t there because he didn’t want to be. He wasn’t there because he couldn’t be.
Late the night before, he felt as if he was having some... Difficulties. It would be a challenge to describe the feeling because it would be impossible for anyone to truly imagine it. Normally when he got this feeling, he could ignore it and it would eventually pass. Last night, it simply didn’t. So, he went to his laboratory, and tested a few things out. This wasn’t the worst mistake Alzeid had ever made, but, he was idiotic enough to give himself an odd injection. Well, maybe idiotic isn’t the right word for it. He was smart, very smart. Smart enough to make himself into a test subject without undergoing many serious operations that couldn’t be performed by his own hand while conscious. However, who said smart people never made an occasional mistake?
The doctor, or rather, scientist had identified what his mistake was within about a half an hour after making it. At this time, he was sitting in his lab, on the cold tiled floor, leaning against the wall, staring up at the white ceiling. His golden eyes closed and he fell asleep there for the remainder of the night. His mistake was rather simple, but there was no way he could correct it, at least, not immediately. It was actually determined that everything would fall right back into place once the substance he injected into himself either dissolved in his body, or left his system. This is why he didn’t intend to go to the meeting; whether the others found out about it or not, Doctor Alzeid Levisque was suffering the humiliation of making himself sick under his own responsibility.
He had yet to wake up. Alzeid was still sitting in his lab, on the cold tiled floor, still unconscious from the night before. He heard a few people walking by, but that was nothing out of the ordinary, so he just ignored that and continued to rest. Not too long after, he heard someone knocking... No, wait; pounding at the door. Slowly, he opened his eyes only a little bit before he decided that whoever it was could wait. It probably had something to do with the meeting he was supposed to be at, and he wanted nothing to do with that right now, so he had only closed his eyes again and ignored it. Some of his long black hair fell in front of his face. He wasn’t wearing the clothing he was usually seen in; he was wearing a dark mahogany shirt with white snakes on each sleeve which trailed off towards the back of the shirt; he was also wearing a pair of black pants, along with black socks, but currently he hadn’t bothered with any shoes. In terms of his lab, Alzeid kept it locked when he wasn’t there; yet because he was there, he had not locked it, and was currently aware that despite his efforts to ignore; there was a door knob existent on the other side of the door... Hmm.. He should really consider getting rid of that if people continued to interrupt...
T H O U G H T S ; Ah yes, this is going to be a sexy thread okay, not really sexy; but I mean, it’s going to be pretty awesome ^-^ W O R D S ; 8 4 3

Hana stood there for a moment after her door pounding was finished. She stared at the door as id she coudl see through it. Then she sighed, and decided it would be best to just open it up and see what was on the other side instead of dilly-dallying. What harm could be done from opening a door, right? She didn't want to be pushy, but if that was what it took to get Mr.Lazy out of his labs then it had to be done. So she took a deep breath, reached out ehr hand, and took hold of the door knob. At first she started to open it slowly, quietly, carefully. Halfway through that process she thought, What the heck? Her actions soon escalatign to turning the knob in one fluid motion and swinging in the door at the same time. "I'm coming i-...." She started to pronounce her presence but. she stopped dead in her tracks, her jaw open and her jade eyes locked on the Dr. before her eyes. He was slouched with his hair in his face, on the cold tile floor. She knew his situation and was well aware that he was a snake test subject so she already knew that being on the floor was a bad idea for him. Now popped the question... How long had he been there? Then again there were multiple questions now. What was his temperature? Why was he down there? It was obvious he was sick, nurse instincts showed her that in just a glance, but what was ailing him? Could she fix it with her bare hands, or would she need tools? So many worries and questions started to fill her mind. She stood there for about fifteen seconds soaking her her thoughts with her jaw hanging. Hana quickly found herself shutting the door behind her and rushing over to him. She was on her knees checking his pulse, and was relived to find he had one, although it seem slow. "What in the world have you gotten yourself into?" She asked, checking him over for any obvious sign of injury. He didn't seem injured so that meant it was safe to move him. "First let's get you off the floor." She said, wedging her arm under his shoulders and lifting with her knees with great strength. She managed to lift him up, not very far though, she was so short and he was so tall. She managed to drag him over to the operating table and get him up onto that. She huffed and then looked around searching for a blanket or something of that sort. She had no idea what in the world was wrong with him, but she knew he had to be cold. "You feel cold?" She asked wondering if he could confirm what she was guessing on. She spotted a cupboards where she expected the blankets to be. She walked to it, and opened it up. Wrong cupboard... she tried again on the one next to that. Oh, there they were! Hana grinned pulling out the standard white sheets and turning around to look at her patient on the table. She had the folded sheets in her arms, but suddenly an idea popped in her head. What if she accidentally over-heated him? she stood there contemplating what to do now...

Alzeid listened to the motion of the door; first it was slow, then it turned swift. It was now officially decided that he would get rid of the door knob on the other side. Perhaps that would make it a tad bit more difficult for even him to enter the room, but it would be worth it if people stopped disturbing him while he was... Well, I guess you could say that he was busy? He wouldn’t be sure what to call this; it was just an attempt to get some rest after an obviously not so obvious mistake he made that night. It probably would have been better if he could have at least made it back to his room instead of hanging out in the lab all night; but it was a little too late to give that any real kind of consideration.
Someone had just been announcing their presence on their way in before he heard utter silence again. The extra light coming from outside the door annoyed him, but he was too... I suppose you could call it ‘lazy’ to get up and close it again. It only took a couple of moments before he heard the door close, and then rapid footsteps coming towards him. He felt a touch on his wrist and decided that now would probably be a good time to at least get an idea as to who it was. By the voice from earlier, he was assuming it was... Uhh.. male? There was a weary expression in his eyes when he opened them and looked to see that it was actually one of the younger nurses; Hana. Huh.. And he had come to think it was a man in the room with him. Well, she was a tomboy, so it didn’t count.. Well; it did, in a sense... Hmm.. How confusing.
It was all too amusing when Hana had gone on to ask what in the world he had gotten himself into. In response to this, Doctor Levisque actually couldn’t help but to give her a faint chuckle. ”What in the world have I gotten into myself.” He said, chuckling a tad bit more. His laugh was low and rather sinister sounding; but his humour was dark anyways. If Hana was able to figure out the way he had played with her very own words; she could realize just by that hint that this was caused by an injection. What else could he have gotten into himself? Well, besides that katana he managed to somehow fit into his mouth. Yes, a katana in the mouth; he wasn’t sure if she knew about it; but that didn’t matter right now anyways.
He wasn’t all too comfortable when Hana had brought her arm under his shoulders and began to lift him. It wasn’t as if he was that heavy, but that wasn’t the uncomfortable part. As the doctor, Alzeid was used to doing the touching; not the other way around. So it was awkward to feel her lifting him up in such a manner. Once she had put him down onto his operating bed, he had lay down and watched as she went digging through the cabinets. What was she up to? When she asked if he was cold he gave her only a simple reply. ”A little.” It was amusing to watch her contemplate in such a way; Ah yes, decisions, decisions.
Something soon occurred to him when he realized that he was missing the meeting. There was no intention within himself to go; but that made him conclude that Hana must have been missing the meeting as well. It wasn’t as if he cared if she would be mad at him for it or not, but that only raised questions that he thought he may as well ask, despite the fact that this may not be the right place or the correct time. ”Hana? ...Why exactly are you here?” He continued. ”I thought it was Peter’s turn to babysit.” Of course he was one of the many who considered Hana to be a child compared to himself; he was only several years older, but, still; that was enough to call her a child and not himself. Yet, really; why was she here when she was supposed to be with Peter right now? Or, had she gotten on his nerves already?
T H O U G H T S ; Found out what? You intend for this to be a sexy thread? r**e? XD haha, I enjoyed mentioning the fact that Alzeid prefers to do the touching since he's a doctor/scientist- it provokes so many thoughts~ XD W O R D S ; 7 3 9

Hana was confused by his words. he had just switched around the order of what she had just said. That didn't make any sense. Or did it? The female thought about it for a moment. Her eyes widened and she realized what was going on. "You..?" She started to question him, but ended up stopping and shaking her head. She shook her head and went ahead in search of the blankets. By the time she had the blankets folded in her hand she was yet again frustrated. "A little" cold is what he had said. What in the world did that mean?! Was he going to die of cold, or would he be fine?A little told her it was cold, but didn't tell her how cold. She didn't know what "a little" translated into! Maybe she was over thinking, but she didn't want to screw this up... Hana sighed, her shoulders drooping just as a question hit her ear drums. Then more to that. Anger flared up in her mind, apparently she took it the wrong way. "Peter doesn't have time to be wasting on a dumbass like you, so your gonna have to deal with me. Be happy some one is here for you at least!" she then started grumbling and putting the blankets back. If he was warm enough to question why someone was here then he would be warm enough to survive. She was grumbling about how ungrateful he was, although she really hadn't done anything for him besides get him off the floor. Hana stopped, and leaned against the wall with her arms crossed. She had a not-so-pleasant expression on her face. "I'm here, and I take it I'm not supposed to come back without you, so what the heck do I do now?" It was obvious that Hana wasn't a happy camper. She was just short of sulking and or pouting. She didn't feel like going out of her way to do something if she wasn't sure he would actually need it. She also felt pretty dumb for panicking and running to the blankets as soon as she thought she found a dieing snake. Hana took a deep breath, stretching her arms out in front of her. It felt good to stretch out a little. The blood flow probably would help her think. She realized something, if she wanted to know how cold or hot he was she would need to take his temperature! She felt so dumb, she whacked herself in the face for her won stupidity. Well that left her with two options. "Alright I'm going to use an oral thermometer, unless you prefer it the other way. " She said, scouring the cupboards again for the thermometers. Soon she had an oral one in her hands and she walked over to him. The female stood over him looking down at him, not from very far up though. She was still short. Laying someone on a table still didn't change the fact that she was short. She leaned in and put the thermometer in his face, "Alright, open up." She would get it in there if he opened his mouth of his own will or not. She would pry his mouth open if she really had to. She then put her small hand on his forehead, trying to get an old fashioned feel for what his temp was. She cold feel that he was really cold, and decided to get those blankets out again. She ran over to the cupboard, got them out again, but this time put them to use. She unfolded them and laid them on top of her patient, "Your colder then I thought you were." she then pulled out the thermometer and her eyes widened. "Oh Malanna! Your way colder then I thought you were." She threw the thermometer into the trash quickly and then returned to his bedside, wondering what in the world she was supposed to do now... notes; lawl i know what u mean word count; um i didn't keep track i know its over 600 words though ;D

It was beyond amusing to him how Hana was just about to question him about what he had just said. Sure, he had twisted her words around and of course, he did enjoy speaking in riddles sometimes; yet it seemed she actually got this one. Bravo, Kudos, Congrats, whatever else you want to say about it. He watched her contemplate with the blankets, and went on to ask his question as to why she was here, and if she was supposed to be with Peter right now or not. The answer to that was also amusing, but perhaps not the right kind. Maybe Alzeid did act heartless and uncaring sometimes. Maybe he was just ungrateful for the presence of others; no matter how annoying he thought they were. And maybe he wasn’t nearly as sensitive towards other’s feelings as he should have been; and yet, what Hana said to him had actually hurt him quite a bit; so he drifted off to silence for a little while. Was he really seen as a dumbass? Should he really be happy to have Hana around...?
Listening, and allowing Hana to speak to herself out loud; she seemed to be wondering a lot as to which actions would be best for her to take. Wait, had she just said she wasn’t supposed to go back without him? Was that just something she made up, or had someone actually said that to her? He didn’t like the thought of holding her back, but he had made up his mind; he wasn’t going to the meeting, not in a state like this. Silence took over the room for a little while. Alzeid stared upwards towards the white ceiling; the lights brightening up the room not all too much higher from him. Actually, it was quite a bit higher; it just didn’t seem like it because he was used to being on the floor. Maybe that wasn’t such a good idea? At the time it seemed to make perfect sense because he was feeling light headed; but now that he had given it a bit of thought, it was obvious that the floor was not the right place to be...
The next thing he knew, Hana had said that she wanted to use an oral thermometer on him. Oh okay, no problem ther--- WHAT!?!? Why?? When she mentioned the ‘other way’ his eyes widened. Well, it seemed like he would be stuck with just being a ‘good boy’ and allowing ‘mommy’ to take his temperature. Uggh, this was so dumb!! He was a doctor, and he already determined what was to happen until the substance was out of his system; or had dissolved; so he didn’t understand why Hana was butting into this!! When she brought the thermometer by his face; he willingly opened his mouth and allowed it to rest just slightly under his tongue so that she could check his temperature. Maybe humouring Hana by allowing her to play with some of his more simple equipment will eventually make her bored and cause her to leave? Little did he know, she was a tad bit more fascinated in him to just leave after a few moments.
Feeling her hand on his forehead was a little strange. Actually, it was very strange since she was already using a thermometer to check his temperature; why would she also need her hand? Yet, he had no outright complaints. It wasn’t just because he couldn’t speak with the damn thermometer in his mouth; it was because he didn’t mind. Her hand was soft; and it felt warm, so despite feeling slightly annoyed by her, he welcomed those few moments where her hand rested on his forehead; he welcomed them because it was also soothing. He never knew that could ever be a word used in describing how Hana acted; at all, and yet, Doctor Alzeid Levisque managed to find a way. It wasn’t long before Hana took her hand away and went to get a blanket from the cabinet. She laid it on top of him, and then went to check the thermometer. Thank goodness; he hated having those things in his mouth for too long.
It was needless to say that Hana seemed surprised as to how much his temperature had dropped. Well, that’s just what you can expect when you’re cold blooded, right? Yes, he made himself cold blooded; did he regret it? Not really. Winter was a b***h, but the other seasons and conditions were just fine and dandy. Alzeid watched as Hana went to throw the thermometer out; during which time he would begin to sit up. By the time she was back by his bed side, he had been able to successfully sit upright and have his legs over the edge of the table. The table was elevated, so his feet couldn’t touch the ground, however, it would be easy to get off if he had wanted to; and he did want to. ”I appreciate your efforts, but I think I might get going now.” It was nothing personal against her; but he always had this feeling, a pride that said he was fully capable of taking care of himself. Besides, facing the facts, she had more than likely wished to be at the meeting instead of stuck with him while he was feeling ill. Actually, that was just what he was hoping. If she did ignore his presence and go back to the meeting, it would give him time to head to his little apartment and rest there since that place was quite a bit warmer than inside of this very laboratory.
So, in saying what he had, he would attempt to get off the table and onto his feet. His movements were slow; obviously a side effect from feeling so cold, yet, he was somewhat determined to at least attempt to keep his independence for these moments.
T H O U G H T S ; Sorry if I didn’t give you too much new stuff to work with; but I hope the fact that Hana’s patient is trying to get away from her will give you good ideas~ ^-^ W O R D S ; 9 8 4

Hana found herself watching her patient sit up on the table, legs dangling off the edge. She looked at him curiously, wondering what he thought he was doing. Hana heard him announce that he was leaving and she couldn't suppress some laughter. It erupted from her rather quickly, and subsided rather quickly as she realized he was serious. Oh... Hana's eyes widened, "You've got to be kidding me! Your not gonna be able to get anywhere by yourself so don't even think about it! I'm coming with you!" She announced, and then quickly started grabbing things and putting things away. Refolding the blankets and putting them in the dirty hamper, just because they had been used. "Your a trouble maker." She grumbled / mumbled returning to his side quickly. It was sort of amazing how fast she did that, but nothing a human in a hurry couldn't do. She used to be in a hurry occasionally. Back when it was just her and Shep in her small apartment. That reminded her... Shep... Shep... Shep... Had she remembered to feed him this morning? OH boy, not good. She hoped she had! Otherwise she was gonna have a mess to clean up when she got back to her apartment here at the Academy. "So where you planning on running off to anyway?" She started, humoring the idea of him walking all the way there. She really didn't think he could do it. Which was why she insisted on coming along. It sort of reminded her of back when she would follow around her older brothers just to see them mess up occasionally. It wasn't that she enjoyed watching people screw up. Well actually she did find that humorous but really she just liked being right. The, "I told you so," moments were wonderful. She also had to be there for them to help clean up the mess. Hana wasn't really aware of what she was doing. This was just how it had always been with her. Being the only girl in the house meant she had to play "mommy". It didn't actually mean that, but she naturally adopted that role. What else was there to do? There was no way she would have been able to put up with her dad's crappy cooking forever after all. It didn't take her long to start taking care of her brothers and she was a natrual at it. Hana just felt that she was meant to help people. There was no ignoring anybody who needed help, whether they wanted or not. Refusing to ignore the less fortunate was just her specialty. Every once in a while she wondered if anyone would be as devoted to taking care of herself. Well even if nobody did, she would be okay. Hana was strong and there would be nothing that could ever bring her down. OR at least that is how she thought of herself. She was still a bit young, and still thought of herself as invincible, and had yet to be proven otherwise. At this point it didn't seem like there was much that Hana could do. She could follow him, give him blankets, and make sure he didn't fall on his face, but she had no idea what to do about his illness. She had no idea what he had injected into his system, or any of the side effects of that. She didn't know an antidote, or anything that would soothe the symptoms. She sighed, walking over to the door and opening it for him, since she could do at least that. The hard metal turned quickly as she abruptly applied pressure in the direction for opening it. It swung open, and suddenly there was the white hallways. The female sighed again, why did everything always be white? Didn't people here know what interior design was? "Someone seriously needs to paint this place a different color." She said allowed, voicing her thoughts since it seemed awfully quiet. She was used to a loud, lively atmosphere. The quiet didn't set well with her and often times she lowered herself to captain obvious levels just to break the silence. "I would have said red, out of personal preference, but that might send the wrong message." She spared herself a small smirk at that. Oh all the different messages that could be interpreted from the color red. It was her favorite so of course she knew a lot about it, but that was a story for a different time. notes; i didn't want to go into too much detail about the whole favorite color thing yet lol its kinda just nonsense anyways word count; seven hundred eighty a l s o k n o w n a s 780

Post by Dr. Alzeid Levisque on Nov 24, 2011 4:05:51 GMT
The laughing seemed a little unnecessary to Alzeid when he had mentioned that he was going to leave. Was it really that funny to her? He brushed that off quickly and got off the table. He hated this feeling of cold; it has been a bit worse before in the past, yet it never ceased to make his movements slow, and his balance a tad bit uncomforting. Trying his best to just ignore it, he would have glanced towards Hana who just realized that he was serious. He didn’t like the idea of her coming with him; but he had only given her a simple reply. ”Suit yourself.” This probably meant that she actually didn’t prefer going to the meeting with Peter ; or maybe she did? She was probably just trying to humour Alzeid, or find some way to mock him for making himself sick like this.. It was a mistake; there was no need to rub it in...
He couldn’t help but to smirk a little bit when he heard Hana say that he was a trouble maker. Ah yes; and don’t forget it. Perhaps while he was growing up he was a bit of an outcast-nerd-creep; and his behaviour was good for the most part, but he did like to cause trouble once in awhile; not so much once he had entered adulthood, but he still found it funny how Hana would mention that. By this time he had managed to at least take a few steps on his own, and surprisingly he wasn’t doing so badly. When he heard Hana ask where he planned to run off to, he had given it a couple moments of thought before he would reply. ”That really depends on how persistent you are to follow me.” He said, showing that he may go somewhere that she couldn’t if she annoyed him too much. On the other hand; he was probably just going to go home anyways... Would she follow him inside, or was she just making sure he didn’t die on the way?
It didn’t take too much longer for the male to get to the door which he noted Hana opened for him. He nodded to acknowledge the small deed she had done for him, and would allow her to step out before he would turn back around. No; he wasn’t intending to go back into the lab. He closed the door and reached into his pant pocket, pulling out a small ring of keys. While he was fumbling those around to find the right one, he listened to Hana express her opinion about the interior design. ”..Ah yes, then let’s paint these walls with your blood.” He mumbled quietly, not expecting her to hear such a thing. What could really be said; Alzeid had a dark, sinister, and maybe even a sick sense of humour. Actually, the sad thing is, despite that, he was barely kidding. Finally, he found that right key and was able to lock up his lab to prevent any intruders. He never liked the thought of someone else going into his lab and playing with the equipment, which is why he always locked it. Locking it took away any temptation a person may possess to mess around in there; needless to say that was a good thing since Alzeid probably wouldn’t hesitate to brutally slaughter any stranger he caught messing around in there.
Once he was done with the door, he would put his keys away and then turn to walk down the hallway. He remained close to the wall so that he could put his hand on it if he ever felt himself losing his balance. It was nice to feel that he actually wasn’t doing so badly in those terms; he only had to put his hand there once or twice to prevent possible face plants into the white tiled floor.Hmm, perhaps Hana was right about the interior design? The white was kind of plain; actually, now that he really looked at it, so much white in one place was actually kind of painful. He felt bad because his skin tone didn’t exactly help with that, since it was actually comparable to snow itself, buut... Well, maybe someone should actually consider getting the place painted? Ah yes, he would have to bring this up to Peter some time so then maybe the place wouldn’t appear quite as dull? On the other hand, colors didn’t really matter; did they? He would give a sigh as they would approach the elevator to exit the operating floor, and enter the staff apartment floor; a floor that would feel a little too familiar to him...

Hana was a little bit annoyed by his answer. "Suit yourself," is it? What an ungrateful brat! He should be happy that she was willing to go out of her way like this to help her. By now she had missed so much of the meeting it didn't even make sense to try going anymore, so she was going to make sure she helped him out until he was sick of being helped out of his sickness! Usually when she was up in the infirmary she took care of little things, external things. Gunshot wounds, stitches, pain killers, shots, band aids, ice packs, ultra sounds, all that wonderful nurse stuff. This was much different. She couldn't just hand him a cup of hot chocolate and expect that to fix everything. Actually that was a pretty good idea. It might help bring his temperature up. However that wasn't exactly possible at the moment since she lacked the cooking utensils for such a thing. Hana had always been a fan of more natrual healing, herbs, home remedies, playing "mommy" was just her thing. Hana wasn't sure what to make of his next comment. Why did he have to speak all cryptically? Her eyebrows lifted and her tilted in a puppy like manner as if to say, "what the hell?" Hana replied the only way she knew how to, "I don't give up easily." It was an answer to gauge how persistent she was. There was no way she could be a quitter, not the way she was raised. When the household respect was won by sports trophies there was no quitting. No pain, no game. It was what she was raised on. Hana was probably the toughest of her siblings, since all the records were left to her to break, and all the dog piles started on the smallest, and the weakest. Soon she was following him out into the hallway. She found herself watching the sick man fumbling with her keys. Really she just wanted to do it for him, anything she could to help. She didn't though, it seemed way to pushy and he could do it on his own. It was almost like torture jut standing and watching though. She bit her lip watching, and had broken the silence as soon as she had gotten out here. It hadn't helped much, but she happened to over hear something the doctor said. With blood? That was a bit morbid... Was she that annoying that she was really going to be considered as a wall decoration? That one kind of stung, she was just trying to help. It was also a bit intimidating. That was really not a good combination for Hana. When she was scared she had a habit of doing everything in her power to prove that there was nothing to be scared of. She could scare away all her fears, and when a person was intimidating her that meant she had to go out of her way to show them how tough she was. When she found herself with a person who thought she was annoying or useless, then she automatically wanted to prove herself. A combination of the two meant she was now going to have to prove her usefulness, and prove how tough she was to the poor sick doctor... OH great here we go...She followed right behind him to the side, more centered in the hallway as she walked. She watched him walking and he was doing okay it seemed. There was a few times she was worried he was going to try the floor appetizer but he was fine thanks to the wall support. Hana found this another torturous exercise. She really wanted to just put him in a wheel chair, and then run like a mad man the rest of the way there. Of course she still had no idea where they were going and she had no wheel chair and she doubted he would agree to that. This seemed to be going so slow that it was almost imperceptible if they were really making any progress at all. It was probably a side affect for going painfully slow in these extremely long, nondescript hallways. The endless white made it feel like getting lost in a blizzard, just not as cold. The harsh artificial lights really needed to go. She was actually starting to rue whoever was in charge of the interior design of this place. She wasn't going to say that aloud though, not after the response she heard to her last comment about such things. Hana thought ti was a miracle when she finally found herself in a familiar hallway. She had always believed that Peter lived somewhere in this hall. She hoped this doctor, Peter's brother, would live in this hall too. That would hopefully put an end to this awful walk. "Are we there yet?" she asked, almost sounding like she was a whining kid in the backseat on a long car ride. Growing up with 4 males had probably put a hamper on her maturity level, but she wasn't too self-consciousness of such things. Hopefully she didn't annoy him with that. Hana didn't want to be annoying, this was just how she was. notes; hilarious word count; 899 or if you like this way better e i g h t h u n d r e d d o u b l e n i n e lol

Oh? So, she didn’t give up easily? Alzeid couldn’t help but to find the thought to be rather amusing, yet it didn’t surprise him in the least. Perhaps he wasn’t often granted the uhhm.. ’pleasure’ of working with Miss Hana Haruka; but from what he had heard from the people who have worked with her; they all seem to say nearly the same things. Very kind, yet persistent; a little annoying at times, but it was well worth it to see her hard work. Ah yes, it was quite the reputation she had. Of course he didn’t know everything they thought of her; that was just a sum of what he heard while eavesdropping. Yes, Alzeid eavesdropped; but it was nothing intentional. If he just so happens to be minding his own business with other things; yet someone begins to speak of someone he knows, of course he’ll listen. He’s not a gossip, but he found the opinions of others to be rather amusing in some terms, especially when he would catch someone talking about him; it was always fun to scare the living sh!t out of them afterwards..
The male paid literally no attention towards the annoyance he may have been causing towards the pink haired girl who decided to walk along with him. It wasn’t as if he could really do anything if he was going ‘too slow’ for her standards. She had no idea what it was like to be cold blooded, and have a rapidly decreasing body temperature. It was silent for most of their walk, and he was glad about that, but the silence was broken once they were upstairs, wandering through the halls. ‘Are we there yet?’ she had asked him. For the first couple of moments he ignored her. Why? Well, why not? But, he would eventually grace her with a simple reply. ”What do you think?” Yes, he was doing that again; speaking cryptically. He had a distinct feeling that it bothered Hana which was a part of the reason why he was doing it. And yet, that was seriously his answer; Did she think they were there yet?
It wasn’t too much longer when Doctor Alzeid Levisque had began to ask himself something. Was Hana going to follow him to his home? Or, was she just making sure he didn’t drop dead on the way there? He didn’t like the thought of a surprise like that, so he would be forced to just plain and simply ask her what was on his mind. ”Do you intend to stay with me?” He continued. ”Or are you just making sure I don’t drop dead on the way?” There was a bit of a smirk playing on his face when he had asked her such a thing. The very thought of him dropping dead within the Academy hallways was simply all too amusing for him. What if he had? Would anyone care? Would he really even care? Probably not. If that’s how he was meant to go, then that simply was how he was meant to go. Yet, if that really is how he was destined to go, he couldn’t help but to wonder what would happen after he was gone.. Probably not much.
Soon, they reached a room, or rather, a small apartment that appeared to be just like any of the others. There were black numbers painted on the front door which read “33” Oh yes, the same number Alzeid has been seeing there almost every single day for the past few years now, and yet, it wasn’t exactly getting old. Reaching into his pocket again, he grabbed his keys, and yet, this time it only took him what may seem to be nanoseconds’ to find the correct key. He was too familiar with the apartment key; but that wasn’t exactly a bad thing in a situation like this. Inserting the key into the door knob; well, the key hole in the door knob; Alzeid turned it towards the left and a distinct click could be heard from it. He removed and key and put it back into his pocket before reaching for the knob and opening the door in a peculiar motion that seemed to portray that he had done this countless times by now. Looking inside the apartment, it was simple, and it was clean. The only things Alzeid really did here was sleep and shower, besides that he was out doing other things; and it showed too; the couch in the small living room area only appeared to have been sat on a couple times despite his years here.

Hana huffed at his answer to her question. How was she supposed to know?! Why did he have to be so cryptic?! The thought of leaving him alone had crossed her mind, she would admit, but she wasn't going to do it. All the consequences of that were to scary for her to think about. Hana would be so upset if she let someone die just because they were slightly annoying. Well actually annoying wasn't the word. More like... She didn't know the word, her vocabulary wasn't all that expanded. She benefitted from an anology though. It was like she was taking someone who had never held a gun before hunting. They were slow and careful, trying for the best. However, for a more experianced hunter, she would be wanting to take charge and leading at a good, steady rate. Also, this new hunter was higher on the social ladder, so she couldn't exactly ditch him. She would get more kills if she just ditched him, but she didn't want to see him eaten by a bear. So here she was in the woods, trekking through it and hoping for the best. It wasn't the most perfect analogy, but it was what she thought of because, well she was a tomboy. Hunting and boy-ish things were her kind of thing. Her attention was grabbed by his next comment. She turned bright red at the second half, most of it was outrage, and the other part was emberressment at the things that popped into her head. She hadn't honestly thought any of this through very well. She couldn't leave him though, she was bent on not leaving him alone. Nothing ould stop her now, well actually a sniper could possibly. That was unlikely. Well actually it wasn't, in a place like this, it was almost to be excpected. Hana took a deep breath, she was trying not to snap on him again. "I'm not going to let you die in the hallway. OR at wherever your going. So yes, I'm sticking with you. Just so you know, if you go an die on me I'm gonna be really mad at you!" She made the last part an announcement because she really meant it. There was to be noo dieing. It was probably a childish comment to the older man, but she didn't care. Maybe she should clairfy why she would be angry, but all the things that would clarify it just emberressed her. She didn't want him to think she was a big softy, or that she liked him, even though she secretly was and she did. Soon she was confronted with something that worried her. She had already commited herself to sticking with him... She really hadn't thought this through, blame it on the blond roots. Hana doubted anyone knew she was blond, well maybe he did, he had been one of the people to operate her and there wasn't really time to get rid of the pesky root colors betweeen surgeries. It was sort of ironic that the super tough girl would die her hair pink but she did. It was a color close to her faveorite, red, and since she wouldn't look very good as a red head she toned it down to pink. Which to some people was probably more outrageous. She could care less what other people thought of that. So what was she confronted with before things got off the main root. Ooops. I mean Route! Well that would be this: 1. She was about to enter his home. 2. She was alone with him and about to enter his home. 3. SHE WAS ALONE WITH HIM and about to eneter his HOME. That was how it sounded in Hana's head anyway. Emberressement rose, along with pink on her cheeks. She knew she was blushing but was going into denial. She was way to macho to care about something like this. Yeah, it was no big deal! Nothing wrong with this! Who was she fooling? She was gonna melt. Well actually maybe she could talk herself into this. Entering the lions den. When the door finally swung open she was very surprised. She had excpected something similar to her elder brothers' rooms. From what she remembered, a man cave was full of all sorts of useless junk. Posters of motorcyles, girls, girls on motocycles. Swimsuit model calanders, from the past five years, and a mess of dirty laundry all over the floor. Well actually that had been there bedrooms. So maybe it was jsut the living area that was so clean, and wonderfully not disgusting, and well sort of plain. She wasn't going to say anything about the interior design, no way did she want to hear the whole blood line again. Hana didn't hesitate to step in. Of course as soon as she did it was if she was in enemy territory. This was shark infested water. Constant danger behind every corner. For a girl so used to being around guys, it was sort of amusing how awkward she suddenly felt. It seemed she was till female somewhere dep in there. This was definately different from all those brothers she had, Dr. Alzeid wasn't her brother, and he was sort of hot. Clenching her fists and faking a smile with her face all flushed was the best she could do to stop herself from face-palming or pounding her head on the nearest object. Oh boy, what had she gotten herself into?! Hana wasn't sure what to do now so she went ahead and asked, feeling stupider by the second. "So now what?" She asked not making any eye contact, and looking down, trying to hide her face somewhat. It was probably super obvious, since she sucked at hiding stuff like this, but she was way to macho to ever admit anything, escpecially at a time like this. Welcome to Awkwardsville Hana!

She planned on being mad at him if he died in the hallway, or where ever he was going? Really? Hana would be mad at him? It wouldn’t exactly be Alzeid’s fault if he died; right? Wouldn’t it actually be Hana’s fault? She was the one that seemed so determined to help him out; and since she was claiming responsibility for him, that meant if he died, it would be by her hands, correct? Is that why she said she would be mad at him; because she would be charged with some sort of murder, manslaughter or some other thing along those lines? Or, was it that she would actually be upset when he died; except since she seems too macho to cry; she’ll just be angry instead? Sadly, that actually made a really good amount of sense, and of course, Alzeid, being the partial jerk that he was, simply had to bring it up. ”Are you just saying that because you know you’ll miss me?” He asked with a slight smirk on his face. He didn’t care if it was true or not; he just found it fun to bother her like this once in awhile.
It didn’t take too much longer for them to get to the apartment and then for Alzeid to unlock the door and let Hana in first, only soon to follow in after her, closing the door behind himself. He didn’t normally lock it when he was there; except for at night, so for now, he would leave it to be on its’ own. Hana appeared to be a little quiet at first, but maybe that was because she was debating upon which question would be most moronic to ask him. Did she seriously just ask him what was to happen next? He would hate to compare it to this, but that’s normally something a date would say to him in a seductive tone if they were feeling that certain spark. He shivered slightly at the thought of how Hana had just said something like that; yet, hopefully it was not in her intentions to, or else this would seem very awkward, very quickly.
Alzeid eventually decided that it was nothing and that he was probably just being paranoid; again. After a moment or two of giving it some thought, he had replied. ”...I suppose you could make some tea, or hot chocolate.” He said, thinking that would help to warm him up a bit; and of course, she was more than welcome to have some as well. ”..And I think I might go have a shower while you’re doing that.” He didn’t really care if she minded or not. He was feeling cold, so a shower would help to get him warmed back up. Once the cold was taken care of, he could pay a bit more attention to the other symptoms he had brought upon himself for the injection he had given himself just the night before. At a time like this, he couldn’t help but to feel regret for such a thing since this really threw off his original day plan. First, he was supposed to get up and tend towards all that fun hygienic stuff; then he was going to go to the meeting, and likely improvise from there. Perhaps it wasn’t much of a plan, but it was still a plan, and he had really strayed off course, especially when you acknowledge the fact that Hana was in his house. He didn’t really think too much of that, but, still, he always found it strange to have coworkers seeing where he lived and how he lived when he wasn’t out doing other things.
At this time, Alzeid would wait to make sure Hana was alright with what he had suggested they do. He didn’t really care if she was to make anything, that would be her decision; in fact, he was still indifferent to the fact as to if she would stay or leave. But, apparently if she was going to stay, then she may as well be of some use. Goodness, that sounded a little heartless; oh well..

Hana was totally flabbergasted. He had pointed out the obvious, but in question form so that she felt obligated to answer. If she answered it, she would be confirming it. If she didn't answer it, it could be taken as a yes, or as just plain rudeness. So that left her with one option, the previous one. She turned red with anger and embarrassment. "Do you have a problem with me caring about you?!" She said self-defensively crossing her arms. Then she realized her mistake and cursed herself in her head and quickly corrected it. This was so embarrassing! "I mean missing. Not caring. You know what? Just never mind." She really wanted to get away right now. Stop this fiasco before it got any worse. Of course she couldn't do that. No way would she do that. She could handle this, if she gave up it would be like loosing, and she refused to loose to this jerk. Soon she found herself in the lion den, and of course things went to Awkwardville, and got really weird in a heartbeat. She was relied when he answered her question with something reasonable. That was a great idea, as long as she didn't find any unwelcome surprises in the kitchen. She heard the part about the showering and found herself feeling even more uncomfortable. So far she had racked up this colorful list of horrible things about all this that she should have thought about. 1. She was in his home. 2. She was alone with him. 3. She was alone with him in his home. 4. She was alone with him in his home and now he was showering. 5. She was alone with him in his home and now he was showering while she acted like, she didn't know what to call it, but she was cooking for him basically! She looked around, not helping but to judge what she saw. If she could even find anything in the kitchen she would be surprised, this place didn't even really seem like anyone lived in it in her opinion. She nodded, "Alright. I'll do that." Hana said, then asking what probably seemed like the first maybe, somewhat logical question. "Where is the kitchen?" She asked, looking around for any entryways that could lead to such a thing. She didn't want to wander around this home, that would be strange. Honestly it felt like a poorly decorated doll house in here. He probably wasn't here very much, it just seemed new, and generic, with no personal flare. So here she was expected to cook it seemed. There was two options as to what to make, well if she decided to do what he asked. There was no way she would venture into someone else's home, and then when asked to make something, do something completely different. So there was no third, other, option. The two choices were A, and B. This almost felt like a test. Would he actually think about it as an actual thing if she picked the wrong one? Did he like one more then the other? If she picked the one that he didn't like as much, would she seem like a pest? Was there some deeper meaning behind the request of tea or hot chocolate?! Suddenly Hana's head hurt and she felt like she was going through an exam or something. She didn't feel like it was unusual to suddenly feel this way at all. For one thing, she was nervous to begin with being in a stranger's home. She was also nervous because he was of the opposite gender and actually somewhat attractive. That wasn't the end of the things that were worrying her. He was so cryptic, did that mean he was deep? If he was really deep, did that mean if she picked hot chocolate she was some sort of person who was sweet, warm, joyful, youthful, fond of holidays, or anything of that sort? If she picked tea would she be thought of as more mature, calm, level headed, educated? There was just so many ways a mysterious man like him could interpret that. She realized she might be over thinking this, but then again maybe she wasn't thinking hard enough?! Okay it was definitely time to re-asses the choices, forget the possible out comes of her choice, and just get it over with. For one thing, she happened to like hot chocolate. She had known since forever how to make hot chocolate. It was cold outside, and getting close to Christmas, there was going to be snow soon, so why not make hot chocolate? Then again there was the second choice to think about. Tea. What kind of tea? Hana wasn't quite so familiar with tea. She had watched it being made a hundred times over, and she had seen people drinking it, and she herself sometimes drank. Of course when she drank tea, it was from the cafeteria and she didn't stalk the cooks, so she had no idea how they did it. Also, remembering back from when she was striking it out on her own, she had always bought the pre-made stuff. So she didn't officially know how to do it. That sort of left her with one option on what to make, but then three options how to make it. She could turn on the hot water, wait for it to get hot and then mix up some hot chocolate. Maybe she could use a microwave and heat the water that way, but she wasn't even in the kitchen yet, and she didn't know if he would have one, or if his dishes were microwavable. Hana also knew that she could do the preferred old fashioned way of making hot chocolate. A kettle of water, on the stove, with water on it, heating until boiling. Then again she still didn't know what was in there, and she wasn't guaranteed to understand how to work his stove. They were all so different, those pesky stoves. She might start a fire with something like that. At least with microwaves all she really needed to worry about was what she was putting in it wouldn't explode. Hana was always sort of a secret thinker. It was as if a second world was in her head where she could work every single little thing out. Like her thoughts were somewhere between the universe of coordinate plains, dictionaries, text books, and country/western movies. No she wasn't a cowgirl, but that was the kind of tough guy, action, macho man, that she wished she could be similar to. She was also secretly an okay cook. She was passing anyway, way better then her father's horrible cooking. She didn't make wimpy salads, or anything like that. Instead she could make PB&J, Macaroni, sandwiches, steak, barbeque, bacon, ham and eggs, mashed potatoes, and everything else a man was commonly found eating. She didn't know how to make the philosopher drinks, aka tea, or how to make strawberry shortcake. She was capable of a few sweet treats, but not many. If you could cook it over a open flame though, she was often able to make it. Anything with grease, you might be able to say. Well sort of, probably not everything. She waited for Alzeid to point her to the source of all this rambling in her head, and to go take his dumb shower. She wanted to get it over with so that the awkward level would drop. The sooner he was clean, and dressed she might be able to actually think normally. notes; i'm sorry i ended up being super tired when i wrote this so my muse was there but i had a hard time communicating with it. so the final result was just mostly rambling nothingness. sorry i didn't give you more to work with. word count; i lost count somewhere after one t h o u s a n d three h u n d r e d

It seemed to take Hana a few moments for her to give him her reply. Was she really just saying that because she knew she would miss him? Alzeid didn’t know if this was true or not; in fact, he didn’t really care, he was just asking her to bother her a bit. But when she opened her mouth and gave her reply, he couldn’t help but to feel a little confused about it. Did he have a problem with her caring about him? What did she mean by that? Had she really cared about him? Of course; at least, that’s what was safe to assume. The words came out of her mouth, not his; she said it, not him. He didn’t even go as close as to imply such a thing; so for her to say that was pretty much random, yet it almost meant something to him.. Unfortunately, the key word in that last sentence was ‘almost’. It wasn’t quite there, but it had touched him ever so slightly. He found it to be funny as Hana went on to say that she meant missing; not caring, and that he should just never mind the things she just said. You can probably imagine by this time that Alzeid would not forget this. In fact, he intended to use this as reference, or possible blackmail for later. Or, better yet, instead of using this against her, he could treasure those words? They were amusing to him; and he didn’t hear them often, so maybe it was best that he keep it as his little secret and allow Hana to forget the very words she had just spoken towards him?
Not all too much longer, they were in his house and he had closed the door behind him. He didn’t feel awkward, nor did he feel any of the tension that Hana was freaking out over. In fact, he didn’t even notice her slight hesitance while she was in his house; he paid no mind to it because it just didn’t seem important to him. What did seem important to him was that first question she had asked him. It still spooked him out, but once he had managed to brush that off to the side and make a reply; he noted that she had asked another question. Where was the kitchen? At least that was a good question for the situation. ”Just over there.” He said, pointing over towards a doorway that was actually somewhat behind Hana. No wonder she hadn’t noticed it before; it was in her blind spot.
Once Hana knew where the kitchen area was, he would turn to leave her. Of course he realized that he was leaving her to hunt for the tea, or hot chocolate on her own, but he was confident that she would be able to find it. Maybe... Well, his kitchen area wasn’t all too big or anything, so, it probably wouldn’t be too difficult. Doctor Alzeid Levisque just had to hope that the girl in his house, Miss Hana Haruka, didn’t look into the freezer. It would be the end of the world if she looked in there. Not literally, but, in the least he predicted that the results of such a thing wouldn’t be all that great. He knew if he told her not to look in there; she would be too tempted and look, so for the time being he just had to ignore that possibility. It wasn’t as if he had anything to hide personally, but she was more than likely to get the wrong idea about him if she was to see what was in there. What horrors possibly awaited her? Rodents. Frozen. Dead. Small. Rodents. As a snake; well, here’s where the misjudgement could easily come in. Snakes were commonly found to devour rodents, those including mostly rats and mice. Yet, they actually weren’t for him; despite being a boa constrictor test subject, he still ate common things among humans, not among snakes. The rodents were actually for the snakes being held in captivity down in level one. He realized that it was sort of like a zoo and that he probably shouldn’t feed the animals, yet from what the snakes themselves have said, they don’t really seem to mind, so it kind of gave him something to do while he was bored...
Walking down the small hallway, he entered the washroom and closed the door behind him, turning the knob it that particular way to lock the door. He didn’t like the thought of Hana walking in on him, which was precisely why he did lock it. Perhaps he would drop dead while he was in here, and yet, he still didn’t wish for Hana to walk in. It wasn’t as if he had anything to be self conscious about it’s just... Well, perhaps that sentence isn’t in need for descriptive language. It didn’t take him too long to remove his clothing and step into the shower where he would close the curtain and begin running the water. At first, it was cold, but then it got warmer, yet it felt like it was burning through his flesh. It wasn’t nearly that hot at all, and yet, because his temperature was so low, the shower was actually causing him a lot of pain. He would step away from the current once in awhile just to get away from it, but despite this hurting, he knew it was probably helping him, and preventing any possibility of freezing to death.

Hana heard him say that the kitchen was "just over there." She turned to see the entry way to it and was only surprised for a second. It wasn't so much of a surprise as an "ah-ha!" moment. Maybe a light bulb would be a good analogy of the feeling? Her head nodded as she showed she understood where it was. Hana brought herself over to the kitchen. She found herself in the usual kitchen atmosphere, only cleaner... Her jade eyes looked searched for any traces of a mess, but found none. She came to the conclusion that the man was a neat freak, perfectionist. The female looked around again, checking out her surroundings. She needed to find what she could use to make whatever it was she was making. She still didn't know which she was making, since there was two options and she wanted to asses her cooking equipment before making that choice. She knew enough about tea to figure that it would taste best if she used a pot, but that it was really easier to just use a microwave to make hot chocolate. She found herself confronted by two methods of making the drinks. There was the stove, and there was the microwave. She considered it, if she used the microwave she might be bored after making them so quickly. If she used the stove, she would probably make more of a mess. She didn't like messes, but she didn't like boredom either. She took a second look at the mugs he had, and decided it would be safer not to microwave them. She didn't even know if it was safe to put them in the microwave. She then found the pot and filled it with water. Setting the pot on the stove, the burners were turned on, and she was set to boiling the water. She watched as it came to life, the coils glowing a faint orange. Hana sighed watching it, somehow this seemed like it would have been more entertaining then the microwave, but it wasn't. Hana pulled out a pen she had in her pocket, and clicked it open. She started wasting time, leaning against the counter, and drawing on her hand. About twenty tree branches later she heard the sound of the water steaming and looked up. She grinned and turned off the stove, moving the kettle off the heating element. She got two mugs, making sure they looked different, so there would be no way she confused them. It wasn't that she had anything against matching sets, but it was a matching set! That seemed way too... Hana shook her head, and poured in the water. She was being careful not to spill or burn herself. She then had to search the cupboards for the mix for the hot chocolate. She opened several of them, but couldn't seem to find it. She huffed and opened one last one and grinned. She pulled out a tin can labeled that it was what she had been searching for. "Got'cha!" She boasted as she pulled it. Some victory she had just had. Hana was happy anyway, boredom did that. Soon she had two mugs of hot chocolate. She looked around, and started wandering. She needed to find the table, to put down the hot chocolate so they could drink it. Putting down the mugs, she looked around again. This place seemed so plain, it was kinda depressing. She wondered if he ever spent much time here, or if anyone ever came to visit him. She knew it was different in the SRA, and that she herself didn't have house guests very much. This place just seemed sorta creepy to her, like no one really lived here. Her own home was very lived in. She smiled thinking that Shep was probably sleeping on the couch waiting for her to come home. Of course that also meant she had to clean the couch again, her eyebrow twitched in slight annoyance. She took a deep breath, let it go, and brought the mug to her lips. The hot chocolate tasted great, and she would have to thank Dr. Alzeid for letting her drink it. She then realized something. Hot chocolate, and tea, and coffee would all be sold at a cafe. A cafe' was a common date spot. Going out for coffee was a common dating ritual. She was about to have something equivalent to a date with Alzeid. She put down the mug, and looked around panic written all over her face. She had not signed up for this, why had she not realized this sooner?! Why was she sooo dumb?! Hana did a mental face palm, remembering her blond roots and telling herself a blond joke just to rub it in her own face. It was kind of like punishment from one of her brothers for being a big dummy, but since none of them were around and probably wouldn't ever be around again she had to do it herself. Now came a question. Had the doctor consciously thought of this, and tricked her into going on a date with him? Or did he not realize and were they both just shallow dummies? Well at least she had realized. Best thing to do now was just act calm. Play it cool. No, big deal... Nope. This didn't mean anything! and so, Hana returned to denial isle to hang out with her old friend Telling Yourself Lies. Yeah strange name, but what else could you expect from a foreign country?
