So, she thought Hana was broken because her voice kept changing and because she seemed upset? Those were both things with a simple answer. Stress. She was obviously upset with this situation, so the chances of something being wrong with her insides were very low. Hana wasn’t really broken, just.. Well, as it was said before, she was likely just suffering from some sort of anxiety. Would it be better for them if Alzeid was to just go and check into the infirmary for awhile so that Hana and Chloe didn’t have to hang around here? That option wasn’t looking so bad now... Then again, the nurses there would probably have a hard time leaving him alone; especially considering it was so rare for a doctor of these premises to fall ill like this... Alzeid wasn’t feeling so bad at the moment, but it should still be taken at least somewhat seriously...
”You were broken once?” Now, Dr. Levisque could not help but to feel a little curious about this. He had only met Chloe today, and he was curious about her case. Obviously it would have had to be an interesting one if Peter had even shown intentions to possibly dissecting her brain. So, what did she know? He didn’t expect her to remember too much about it since she was one of the first experiments, meaning that it had all happened so long ago.. Still, there might be something that she knows that could prove to be useful in their future investigation of her DNA and previous experimentations.
Speaking of previous experimentations; it wasn’t too much longer before Hana would enter the room again. Alzeid would keep his gaze on Chloe if she was still just in the process of finishing her last sentence. It would have been interesting if Chloe could remember that far back, but unfortunately she probably wouldn’t have wanted to speak about it if she did... Still, it was interesting to think of what the previous scientists were up to before them. Were they being productive? ...Well, obviously that would be ‘no’. Most of the first experiments didn’t survive which made Alzeid wonder; what was so special about Chloe? Why had she survived when so many others dropped dead?
Now, he would turn his attention towards Hana who would go on to ask if he was feeling hungry. ”Not particularly.” It was nearing what was supposed to be lunch time; but, no, he wasn’t feeling like it right now. ”You can make something if you feel like it, but I’ll have to pass for now.” Hopefully she wouldn’t lecture him about any of this. He understood that food and nutrition and blah blah blah was very important, however, he was different. Since he was fused with a snake, not only did he look different, his body worked differently. That would explain why he hated being cold, it made him slow moving because of the cold blood. Also, it would explain his diet. He only had to eat every second or third day if he felt like it. Snakes had much slower digestive systems since they were so much more thorough than humans; so, really, he wasn’t turning down the offer because he was trying to give Hana a bad time; he was turning down the offer because he simply didn’t need to eat right now.

Chloe had mentioned that she had been broken once. It seemed to perk Alzeid's interest since he went and asked about it. Chloe looked at him and nodded. Unlike a lot of test subjects she wasn't particularly upset by her memories, or what was left of them, from the past. Unlike Hana who had just been ranting about how she had been hit by a van and what not. Chloe didn't really remember it that well, but the bits and pieces came back over time occasionally. "Yeah, it wasn't fun." That was when Hana came back into the picture. She asked about cooking, and Alzeid answered that he would rather not have any food but she could cook something. Hana just figured his stomach might hurt or something, so she then turned to Chloe, "Are you hungry Chloe?" She asked. Chloe nodded, and Hana went off into the kitchen. Surprisingly Chloe didn't follow after her... Instead she stayed where she was, with Shep by her side, and figured she could talk to Alzeid.
Chloe sniffed the air as Hana began cooking. She figured she was smelling ramen or something. Chloe then returned to what she had been telling Alzeid before Hana interrupted with brief dinner plans. "When I got broken, there were these evil big wheels. They made this screeching noise, and then I don't remember what happened." It sounded like she was describing getting hit by a car or something. It wasn't really that specific, and sounded like a childish way of putting it. However, when her accident did happen, it had been when she was a child. So her memories would be fuzzy and from a small child's perspective. Chloe kept talking, "Then there were you people. All sorts of lab coats. I hated all of them, all they do is poke you with needles, cut you up, and make you feel terrible." She could go on and on bashing the lab coats, but she stopped at that. Then she looked at Alzeid's profile. He definitely looked and smelled like a test subject, but usually the doctors weren't test subjects.
Chloe being the curious creature she sometimes was questioned him on it. "Did you get broken too?" She asked curiously... Back in the kitchen Hana could hear what they were saying in the living room. It wasn't like there was any other noise in the house to drown out their voices. Plus, Chloe hadn't been talking quietly, she was talking at the same slightly loud, and annoying volume as she usually did. Hana was boiling water again, since she knew how to do at least that. She had looked around in the cupboards and found top ramen, who didn't have that in their pantry after all? Of course, Hana wondered if she was supporting stereotypes that Japanese people always eat noodles and such... Of course it was sort of true. Plus, it wasn't a negative stereotype. So, what was the harm? Hana was boiling the water just to waste more time. She was still a little upset, and being alone cooking was a perfect time to sulk.

Hana came back into the room and asked him if he was hungry; he turned down the offer, but apparently Chloe accepted it so Hana left towards the kitchen to make something. Of course, he had no idea what she was going to make, but that was mostly because he didn’t think she would be too capable. Honestly, Hana didn’t seem like the cooking type. Even if she was; would she be too afraid to look through his cabinets after what they had found in his freezer? Perhaps it would have been better if Alzeid hadn’t kept those within his personal freezer.. Then again, it was probably the most convenient method, and since it wasn’t harming anyone, then, why not? Speaking of harm; it was a wonder to him why Chloe wasn’t off to harass Hana. Perhaps she finally understood that Hana needed some time to herself? Or maybe she was simply switching targets? ...What a pain.
Instead, it actually began to seem like Chloe felt like having a somewhat normal conversation. This was probably a rare opportunity; from what Alzeid had seen of Chloe, he couldn’t help but to think that he should take advantage of this as much as possible. So, being the... uhh... nice?? ...Sure, why not.. Being the “nice” person he was; he listened to what she described. It sounded like she was recalling being hit by a car. It sounded like it would have been rather painful; those things were known to move extremely quickly nowadays, especially on the highway. She continued to describe her past experiences of being broken and it became more than apparent that she wasn’t really a fan of ‘lab coats’. Alzeid didn’t take it personally; what she had said was fairly true, and he wasn’t going to argue it despite the fact that there were reasons for all of those actions... Well, at least most of them... Some of them were more along the lines of “let’s put this chemical into this person and see what happens” ..ah yes, this field of work used to involve so many “Guess and check” situations...
Chloe’s question came as a bit of a surprise to Alzeid. Why would she ask him that? ”Do you really want to know?” Assuming the answer was something along the lines of ‘yes, of course; why else would I ask’ Alzeid would soon continue to speak. Usually he wasn’t the type to share much information about himself; but he didn’t see any harm in this. ”...I don’t think I’ve ever been ‘broken’ ...Perhaps I have had a few fractured bones and a case or two of extreme illness in my past, but that’s about it..” Had he just said too much? ...He was a bit of a paranoid freak which is part of the reason why not too many people knew anything about him. Oh well, that was really just another story that was meant for another time... ”Are you always so curious about everything?” He couldn’t have helped but to have made this observation. Throughout the day she was all over everything and everyone; especially in the lab earlier. He felt bad for Hana that she so happened to be Chloe’s subject of love and curiosity; but, he had supposed that he may as well just be grateful for that fall. It was better for it to be her than him at a time like this.

Chloe wondered why Alzeid bothered to ask if she really wanted to know. If she really wanted to know, she would ask, and she had. That should have made it obvious she wanted to know, and that silly question had made her immediately impatient. She started to almost lean toward him in anticipation. She had a habit of sticking her nose into places it didn't belong. It was a miracle she hadn't come across a skunk or porcupine test subject yet. that would have been messy... OR smelly possibly.
Luckily for Chloe's patience ti wasn't tried for very long. Alzeid would soon answer her. A few fractures and extreme illnesses? Chloe had been through worse then that. She shrugged, and continued to pet Shep. The dog was slow in wagging its tail, too lazy for even that. Chloe's ears perked atop her head and she looked at Alzeid as he questioned her curiosity. She grinned, "Course I am!" She laughed. What a silly joke... Or was he serious about that question? Chloe was so used to having to re-learn things and asking questions it was weird to imagine anyone not anymore. As if she had forgotten what it was like to not be the way she was now. Insane.
Meanwhile it wouldn't be too long before the water was boiling in the kitchen. Hana managed to turn off the stove, and pour the boiling water over the ramen. She was just doing this the simple and easy way. To doing anything crazy with it, though she did know how. She doubted Alzeid had anything she could throw in to spice up the food anyways. The splash of hot water over the dry noodles would be a quiet one, Hana wasn't going to risk spilling it. Hana put the kettle back on the stove, and put in the packets of seasoning. Still partially listening to what was going on in the living room. If they were to say anything loudly she would have heard it just fine over the noise of her own tasks. Hana had heard Chloe say ,"of course!" and then laugh at something. She wondered what was going on out there...
Chloe stopped petting Shep after a moment, and stood up and stretched. Putting her hands together, straightening her arms over her head, and leaning back. This action was accompanied with a yawn... "I'm tired. Are you tired? When do you usually sleep?" Oh yes, Chloe was back to her annoying questions. Hana would come out of the kitchen finally, and face her company. The nurse walked in as Chloe was asking about sleeping. "It's not even late Chloe, you shouldn't be tired." Hana said calmly, walking past and sitting on the floor a bit away from both the area where Chloe was now standing and where Alzeid was sitting. Chloe grinned, "I was up late last night." Hana rolled her eyes. Of course Chloe was up late the previous night. She seemed like the type to blow off a normal sleeping pattern to have a little more fun. Hana tried to get her sleep whenever it was a good time to get sleep, because her schedule could easily change at any moment. She might end up on swing shift for the Intensive Care Unit for all she knew.
Hana glanced at the clock, it was still around lunch time but their lunch would be late if they ate it now. This could very well end up being a long day for all of them. Chloe would probably continue to irritate everyone, and Hana would continue to freak out about silly things, and Alzeid would probably continue to push certain buttons for the both of them. What was Peter thinking when he put this group together? Chloe looked at Hana, "Is it ready yet?" she asked. Sounding almost like she was asking "are we there yet" in a childish voice. Hana smirked and shook her head. Chloe made a pout-y face and flopped back down on the ground, making Shep raise his head and look at her. The dog looked at her for a minute, then sat up. After sitting up the dog would lift his hind quarters and then use all four of his legs to walk over to his owner and flop down next to her. Hana smiled at Shep, the once person in this apartment she wasn't too worried about...

How annoying. No wonder Peter claimed to have no time for a ‘pet’. What made him think that Hana did? She already had her own dog... But maybe he didn’t know that much about her? It was practically his job to know these things; then again, he could have just been making up excuses. It wasn’t a mystery as to why Peter would make an excuse; but that really didn’t seem like something he would normally do. Usually, there was a reason behind his actions. Despite the brothers; Alzeid and Peter, not knowing one another too well; they had known each other to a certain extent; at the very least, enough for Alzeid to know that something here wasn’t quite right... but what could that have been?
He glanced over towards Hana as she entered the room again; Chloe had began going on about sleep and how she was tired. When did he sleep? He didn’t think she really needed to know that, so he ignored the question as Hana had answered for him; reminding Chloe that it wasn’t even late yet and that she shouldn’t be tired. Why were they even talking about sleep? This was just making him feel tired... Perhaps that was simply what happens when you sleep in a laboratory on the tiled floor.. It certainly wasn’t the most comfortable place to be. In any case, a little bit of time passed on before Chloe would go on to ask Hana if whatever she was making was ready yet. She sounded like a stereotypical child in the backseat asking her parents if they were there yet. Since Alzeid was already feeling irritable, this sort of pushed him off the edge. Can you really blame him? He had been witness to the majority of Hana and Chloe’s bickering and harassment all day. He wasn’t feeling well and he was running on a lousy amount of rest.
At this time, the pale man with long black hair and hypnotic snake-like eyes would give a soft sigh. Then, he would stand up, speaking in a tone that sounded calm, but obviously he was at some kind of limit. Not an angry limit. Simply a “I don’t want to deal with you right now.” Sort of limit. ”You’re both giving me a headache.” With that being said, he would soon continue. ”...Do something quiet for awhile.” It took him just a moment, but then he had an idea. He walked towards a small table that had a control on it... a remote control to the television, to be precise. He touched the “On” button and walked over towards the kitchen. He knew he left it on the documentary channel, and he figured the other animals would keep them entertained seeing as the amount of control they had over their animalistic instincts would surely vary depending on what had come up. Meanwhile, in the kitchen... Well, being the neat-freak he was; Alzeid noticed that he had yet to get to the hot chocolate cups Hana and him were using earlier; so at this time, he would go to wash those out while listening to what might be going on in the living room...

Hana saw that Alzeid was getting up, and watched to make sure he wasn't going to fall over or anything. She was a bit paranoid maybe, but it seemed like she hadn't seen him standing much lately. Anywho, he would state that he was having a headache, and it was his guests' fault. Hana immediately felt guilty, mostly because she had already screwed up as a nurse once, and now she was just bugging the patient even more. Chloe simply yawned, she didn't like being quiet that much... Well unless she wanted a nap. Chloe slept during the day all the time. Mostly because she had more of a nocturnal bias, and she stayed up late doing things she really shouldn't be doing.
Hana figured she might as well apologize, seeing how this was half her fault. "Sorry." Yeah, that was it. No lengthy expression of guilt. She already knew that everyone knew how she messed up, so she wasn't going to say why. Even if she was asked why she would refuse to answer. Then again, it seemed like Alzeid was pretty good at prying answers out of her. He had gotten her to admit a few things she would have liked to just forget. Anywho, Hana paused and watched after that as Alzeid went over to a table and took hold of a remote. Apparently the remote was for the TV because he pushed a button and the TV flipped on. Hana blinked at the screen for a moment, trying to register what it was set to. There were commercials on at first, so she would just have to wait. Alzeid walked to the kitchen, and Hana sat down on the ground next to her faithful dog.
Chloe turned towards the TV, which Hana was also facing. Chloe watched as the TV advertised a lawnmower that did the grass cutting on its own. Shep was unimpressed, but Chloe flattened her ears against her head and growled in a quiet low tone. Hana looked at Chloe, one eyebrow raised questioningly. "What's wrong Chloe?" Hana had no idea why Chloe was suddenly so tense. Looking closely, even Chloe's tail had bristled a bit. Chloe kept her eyes set on the TV, watching as the commercial continued to broadcast the well-performing lawnmower. After the commercial ended, a different one came on advertising a supermarket. Chloe turned her head and looked at Hana, seemingly back to normal. "Wha?" Said Chloe. Hana shook her head, figuring that Chloe had issues with lawnmowers or something. That commercial soon ended and a TV show came on.
There was three slash marks, which the word HAUNTED faded in on top; blending in with the slashes. Hana wasn't familiar with this show, and neither was Chloe. Hana was willing to give it a shot, though she wasn't a huge fan of scary movies, mostly because they scared her. Chloe swished her tail back and forth, gripping her feet as she sat int he butterfly position. Hana, still in a dress, had to sit like a lady on the ground. Shep had gone off to snoozing again. The TV showed a women on a interview couch talking. She described how haunted her house was, and how on occasion she would open the fridge to see the food had all been rotten and spiders crawling around. At the word spiders, every hair stood up at the back of Hana's neck. Hana HATED spiders. She covered her eyes when they showed a clip of a fridge that had been dramatized for the show's audience to freak out about. Chloe was rather fascinated by it, but she heard Hana's movement and looked in that direction. Chloe started laughing, "Your scared of that?"
Hana wished she could glare at Chloe and tell her to mind her own beeswax. However, she wouldn't risk seeing one of those furry, many-legged, big-creepy-multiple-eyed, freaky creatures. Hana ignored Chloe for a moment, then finally spoke, "Are they gone?" Chloe almost started laughing again, but she just barely managed to keep it in. It was so funny that Hana was so scared of such little creatures! Chloe wasn't a fan of weaklings, but they were rather amusing. Occasionally anyways. Chloe looked at the screen, there were still spiders crawling around the lady's home. "Yeah, they're all gone." Chloe had a mischievous smile on her face.
The nurse peeked through her fingers and yelped like a scared puppy. SPIDERS! She quickly clamped her eyes shut and turned around, disturbing Shep from his slumber. Chloe broke out into a fit of giggles. "Chloe you liar..." Said Hana behind a grimace. She wasn't very happy at the moment with anything really. This day just kept getting worse! Chloe kept laughing, but paused looking at the screen. There was a commercial break and they were showing a dog food commercial. Chloe's ears perked and her tail swished furiously from side to side for the full thirty-seconds, before going back to growling as the lawnmower commercial re-appeared. Hana dared to remove her hands from her eyes, once she heard Chloe growling an realized it was commercial break. She wanted to look at something else to get those horrid images of the spiders out of her head. A movie preview came on, it was a re-make of a movie based of a book that had to be millenniums old by now. It looked like a good movie, and Hana wished she could still go out to movies like she used to with some of her friends... Those were the days... She sighed, and Chloe glanced over her should with a sly grin in Hana's direction. "You make the big bad wolf look like pleasant company, you know that?" Hana said, still annoyed. Chloe grinned, "Thanks! What's a pleasant?" Hana sighed... She didn't feel like answering that question at the moment.

He had first thought that he left the television on the documentary channel, but apparently he left it on the supernatural one. Huh... oh well. They would eventually learn to love it. Even if they didn’t, he was sure that they would tolerate it until they figured out the remote. Ah yes, Alzeid’s remote. It was actually a lot more complicated than the average one. He had no idea why it was like that; but from the several others he has seen in other people’s apartments’, his just seemed to be the most complex and abnormal. In any case, he continued to listen to the sounds he heard from the other room. First there was some growling, and then there was a bit of talking, and soon it would all come down to a bit of screaming and then laughter... He didn’t have much of a problem with this, but the noise level was causing his head to pound a bit... Oh well; he gave a soft sigh and then moved on, just finishing up with the cups they had used for hot chocolate earlier... † † † The rest of the day continued to move along similar to this. There were small arguments once in awhile, but for the most part it was smooth sailing. Well, at least as smooth as someone could get when there was a mighty wind chill of -14 degrees Celsius. By this time it was getting to be somewhat later in the evening, meaning that they would likely end up going to sleep soon. Thank goodness; Alzeid honestly wasn’t sure how much he could take. It wasn’t that Chloe and Hana were that annoying, but because he was lacking any decent rest, it was good to know that this day was nearly over. He didn’t take too long in the washroom since he was just changing into some different clothes to sleep in, brushing his teeth and all that other fun hygienic stuff. So now he had walked out of the washroom and then into the bedroom where he assumed he would see Hana and Chloe possibly fumbling around with any bedding that they would be using in their stay here. Alzeid would make his way over towards his bed which was a typical single sized mattress. The bed had been made earlier the other day so it still looked fairly neat since he hadn’t slept in it last night; but that was nothing anyone couldn’t expect from someone so... would anal be the right word to use in this case? Perhaps it would be. Then again, was he really that obsessive? ...Possibly. The T-shirt Alzeid was wearing was a pitch black in color; it fit loosely around his frame, but not to the point of being baggy. Although speaking of baggy, his pants could somewhat be described with that word. They were fairly loose as well since loose clothing was a lot more comfortable to sleep in, and they were tainted with a simple black and white plaid pattern. The doctor, who so happened to be the patient in this scenario sat at the edge of the bed and picked up an alarm clock that rested on one of those beside-the-bed drawer system thingies.... Anyways, Alzeid had looked down at the alarm for a few moments using his dark golden eyes. They still didn’t portray his usual look since there was definitely still something going on inside of his body right now; and there was a subtle hint of color around the eyes. Actually, there was always a bit of color, but what I mean is that there were subtle rings just under his eyes which would be an obvious sign of a sleep deprivation. After staring down at the alarm clock in his hands for a few minutes there, he would look over towards Chloe and Hana. He would give them a few moments to finish anything up if they had been in the middle of something, and then afterwards he would go on with his own question. ”..Do either of you need to be up at a certain time tomorrow?” If they did, then he had supposed he should set the alarm for that particular time.. If not, then he would be more than happy to turn it off and sleep in for once... T H O U G H T S ; I’m soo sorry about the delay ^-^;; W O R D S ; 7 5 7

Hana had been here all day now it seemed. By now she was in her pajamas and had her hair pulled away from her face with a small clip. Shep was out in the living room, already fed and back to sleep. Hana was wearing her usual pajama uniform, basketball shorts and a plain t-shirt. There was no way she would be sleeping in some cutesy hello kitty pj's or anything. Hana was rolling out a sleeping bag that was scarlet red on the floor. There was one pillow on the floor at the top of the sleeping bag she was rolling out. It was a fairly large sleeping bag for such a small female. Hana liked her space though, since she tended to roll around a lot. She wasn't loud, she just couldn't hold still!
Chloe only had a pillow for this sleepover. She wore a tank top that was quite shameless, and made her seem a lot older then Hana. In fact, Hana looked even younger then usual next to Chloe. It was mostly because Chloe was just an indecent person who couldn't dress appropriately, not even for bed time. Of course, Hana had a lot less to show than Chloe; so of course Chloe would seem older.
Hana looked at Alzeid as he entered the room, then went back to straightening out her stupid sleeping bag which wasn't cooperating. She looked up again when he heard his voice. Did she need to get up at any certain time? "No, I'll be fine." Hana looked to Chloe to see if she had any kind of schedule. Chloe didn't seem like the type to have a schedule after all, not with the way she acted. Chloe shook her head, "Nah. If someone needs me I'll know." Hana raised a brow at this, and started searching Chloe for a cellphone or radio device of some sort. Chloe's neck sported a black collar that Hana had barely noticed before... Maybe that was how she would know? Hana had no idea what kind of collar it was, but it seemed interesting enough.
Hana managed to finish straightening out her sleeping bag, and then she grabbed a book and crawled into the sleeping bag. Chloe was respecting Hana's sleeping space for now. Chloe curled up on the floor with her head on a pillow and yawned. Hana was holding the book up in front of her face and was reading it quietly looking thoughtful. Chloe couldn't resist, "What'cha reading?" Hana turned her head and looked at Chloe, wondering if it was a good idea to answer. Hana replied, "Left or Right. It's a quiz book." Hana then returned her attention to the book. "What kind of quizzes?" Chloe was continuing with her questions. Hana answered again, "All sorts of them." Chloe rolled her eyes, that was not a satisfying answer for her. "Can I play with it?" Chloe was at it again. Hana didn't look at Chloe, but she sighed and answered, "Why not? Alzeid would you like to join us?" Hana moved the book so she could peer up and try to see Alzeid up on his bed. The book was quite interesting, and was often entertaining for observers even if they weren't answering any questions. Hana and Alzeid had probably had enough questions for one day already with Chloe in the area.

Why didn’t that surprise him? On the other hand, this was good; that meant they would get to sleep in... Well, unless something else was to happen, but the chance of that was....Actually, it was highly likely with someone like Chloe around... In any case, Alzeid turned his attention back to the alarm clock that was resting in one of his hands. He used his other to mess around with a few of the buttons on it before a distinct “clicking” sound could be heard from the device signifying that it was disabled. Describing it like that kind of makes it sound like Alzeid’s alarm clock was some kind of bomb--- how adorable, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
He remained to be seated on the edge of the bed as he watched Hana finish fumbling with her sleeping bag and then going to lie down and read a book. Meanwhile it was becoming apparent that Chloe hadn’t really prepared much for this sleep-over since she had only brought a pillow. Or, was that all she needed? She was wearing a tank top as well; had that meant she was too warm in Alzeid’s apartment? He had a tendency to mess around with the heater quite often during the winter months, and he had been feeling fine in terms of temperature--- but maybe it was too warm for her? Hana didn’t seem to say anything about it, and Chloe would probably start complaining if she really was feeling too hot... So, that probably wasn’t it..
As the others continued to get settled, Alzeid switched on a lamp that was sitting right by the alarm clock he had just finished fiddling with. Then, he had stood up and walked over towards the other side of the room where the light switch lived, and flicked it off. The lamp gave off a nice lighting to the room; it was somewhat subtle, but in that sense, it was kind of nice. It wasn’t long before Alzeid had sat back down, this time with his legs crossed in front of him; underneath the blanket. He glanced over towards Hana who had said his name and something about joining them. ”...Yeah, sure...” There was a slight hesitance in his voice since he had not really been paying them any attention—in fact, he was finally learning how to drown them out a bit. Was that a good thing, or a bad thing?
He was hoping that he hadn’t actually just sold his soul or agreed to a three-way by mistake, but then that’s when he figured to look at the book Hana was holding. Left or Right seemed to be the title. ”Left or Right? What about ‘up’? ....or west?” He thought towards himself, curious as to what this all meant. Obviously he had never been exposed to a quiz book which is unfortunate because now, he had absolutely no idea what might be in store...

Hana nodded when she heard that Alzeid was going to join them. Hana looked at the book page she was on. The font was quite feminine and small. The words were on a perfectly straight invisible line. It was easy enough to read. Hana's eyes went over the first question before saying, "Okay. Let's start with this one: Have you ever broke a bone? If so tell us the story about it, and if you have more than one pick your favorite story."
This was sort of an odd question. Who actually had a favorite, I broke my bone story? Hana looked at Chloe to answer first. Chloe seemed to be actually thinking it was a miracle. Chloe shrugged, "I've been broken too much, I don't really know. Hana?" Oh yes, of course Hana would also have to answer. She actually started smiling, maybe this is what the book meant by favorite? She was thinking to a somewhat funny memory of herself and her brothers. Of course at the time, Hana hadn't thought it was very funny.
"Wellll... I broke my arm once, thanks to my brothers. We were practicing some BMX tricks, and they talked me into trying to jump a chair at the top of ramp. I went for it, didn't get enough height, and crashed right into the chair. I landed on the other side of the ramp with a chair in my face and the bike on top of me and my arm broken. I wasn't the one crying though, my brother Daniel starting crying and saying he thought I was going to break my neck. It was actually really funny how much he freaked out. I let him be the first to sign the cast, since I apparently owed him for scaring the living day-lights out of him."
Hana smiled, but that now occurred to her as a bitter-sweet memory. How much had Danny freaked out when he heard his poor little sister was dead? She just hoped he hadn't done anything weird or crazy. Chloe was grinning, "Hana has guts apparently." Hana rolled her eyes, "Everyone has guts, you can't digest without them." Chloe looked confused and Hana chuckled at the expression on Chloe's face. Chloe then looked at Alzeid, "You got any broken bone stories?" Hana found it funny that this was starting to feel like a slumber party. She never thought something like that would happen with these two for company.

They expected Chloe to answer first, but she passed, so Hana went instead. Needless to say, Alzeid was silent as he listened to the story—he actually found it to be amusing. Hana had brothers? Right, he should have known that.. But how many? Hmm.. He glanced towards Chloe when she said Hana had guts—it was funny how Hana took it literally, but in the sense that Chloe meant, Alzeid had to agree; Hana seemed to be a lot more hardcore than he ever would have guessed. Was that a good thing? It was hard to say, but it was certainly amusing.
When it came to be Alzeid’s turn to answer the question, he took just a few moments to think about it before replying. ”...I’m usually unconscious when I have my bones broken, but the one I do remember was quite some time ago..” He gave it more thought for just a moment to recall the details he may have remembered. He knew it happened about a decade ago, but he didn’t think that really mattered, so without specifying exactly, he would go on to tell his little story. “...This was actually back when I was in high school; I had to take a few jobs, and at one point I worked at an old fashioned bowling alley.... Anyways, I remember the ball dispenser by lane seven always got jammed, and the only way to fix it was to actually stick your arm in there...” It’s true what they say; hind-sight is twenty-twenty vision...
”I never wanted to go near that thing, but no one else was there to help, and the people wouldn’t stop complaining. I figured if my coworkers could fix it without anything bad happening, why couldn’t I? ...Although, as I tried to fix it, it turns out the jam wasn’t actually that bad, so the bowling balls all fell onto my arm and it broke in a few places....” He paused for a short moment. ”...If I remember correctly, I think a little girl started crying after she had witnessed that little mishap...” Ah yes; Alzeid just thought it’d be interesting if he added in that last part. It was true, he had heard a little girl start crying--- but the reason he told them was just for the amusement of it; I mean, it wasn’t every day something like that happens, and even so, it was always nice to look back and just laugh...

The nurse turned her attention to Alzeid as it was his turn to tell a story. She heard him say something about usually being unconscious when he broke bones... Did he break his bones often? That comment has just seemed a bit disturbing to her, and she wasn't sure what to make of it. Chloe didn't seem to pick up on it at all though.
Alzeid would go on to describe his story. Hana tried to imagine Alzeid working in a bowling alley. She tried to imagine what he might have looked like before the experiments... She utterly failed so she just slapped the person in front of her in a green bowling alley uniform which looked pretty odd in her imagination. Hana was having a hard time not laughing at the scene she was imagining. Alzeid in his funny dark green uniform shoving his hand into the bowling ball dispenser. She couldn't imagine what he might look like if he were in pain, so he ended up looking like some chibi person without a face. She then imagined an arm broken in several places. It was probably bent at funny places. YUCK! She didn't blame the little girl for crying...
"That sounds... awful?" she smiled at hat for some weird reason. It was more of a smile that fell into situations of awkwardness. Chloe was wearing a big grin, "Seeing people cry is hilarious!" Hana gave Chloe an exasperated look. Apparently Chloe was a very sadistic person. Hana returned her eyes to the book and read the next question. She read it aloud, "If you were on a deserted island in the tropics and stuck there for 6 months, what 5 persons or things would you chose to have with you?" Hana thought it was an interesting question. Hana wanted to think about this question a little bit before answering.
Chloe figured it was her turn since she didn't go last time. She opened her mouth and was smiling, "That would be fun! I'd take Hana, an elephant, George of the Jungle, a rifle, and a magazine!" Chloe came up with that answer off the top of her head. Hana gave Chloe a funny look, "Why would you take me? And what's with the elephant?" Hana really didn't want to get stuck on an island with Chloe and George of the Jungle. The elephant seemed really out of place as well... Chloe had to explain, "Hana is there for morale! Elephant is there for riding around the island. George of the jungle knows how to ride elephants, and he would teach us how!" Chloe seemed pretty satisfied with her answer. Hana started laughing at it though, Chloe was funny in the little kid sense. Chloe than spoke up, in a somewhat taunting tone. "What would you bring Alzeid?" Chloe was challenging his survival skills. Chloe was going to prove she would be a much better mate than anyone else for Hana.
