The moon was high in the sky that night. Unusually bright too, though it didn't quite get on the nerves of the figure below it. Tsumi had felt comfortable enough to wear his white t-shirt with a black netting over it. Tall military style boots and very skinny jeans, along with a gothic styled choker. Usually Tsumi dressed like this when off work. No sunglasses, no giant coat with a collar popped. This night Tsumi wasn't overly worried of humans finding out who he was. There weren't many sane ones out at this time of night. It was helpful to be a vampire at times like this, dark areas which were blind spots to humans were lit up. Tsumi though was slightly startled as he heard the voice of a female cry out. A figure falling from the heights of the wall.
A burst of pain shot into his chest as he dropped his bag and took off at a dead run. Tsumi's speed went unnoticed as he reached the target of the falling female. With a strong impact she landed safely in his arms. Eyes shut tightly as he let out a slight grunt, holding onto her tightly so as not to drop her. Tsumi looked down at her, undoubtedly she was absolutely human. A terrified one at that, she had good reason to be too. What on earth was she thinking of doing hoverboarding way up there? The damned SRA agents seemed to just love to sit up there. Tsumi hated SRA personally, though his glare softened as he returned his gaze to the terrified girl who was staring at him with wide eyes.
An unusual golden colour they had. Maybe she was already from there? Tsumi didn't know nor cared to know, so he gently set her down on the grass. Kneeling with a slight pained look in his eyes, no real smile worn. The concern he wanted to feign wasn't even in his eyes. "Are you alright?" His voice was low, as his tall frame was hunched against his raised leg. Hand clutching the ground tightly as he strained to keep his distance from her. Why he'd saved her he didn't really know. She didn't seem to recognize him, so she probably didn't know he was a model. Thank god. She nodded quietly before standing up and throwing her arms around him. Tsumi could only widen his eyes at her display. He hated humans, but she was young enough. Just as suddenly as she was there she disappeared running down the path toward the city. Tsumi stood back up with a slight scoff as he looked down at the ground. Sticking his hand in his pocket. What on earth was he thinking

Leon was walking through some back alleys - wavering from side to side like a drunk man. He had to go and check up with the demon-doctor to make sure that he was alright after all of the bone fragments she removed from his leg. Getting all shot up at the SRA ended up being so troublesome after all the fighting had ended. Apparently the doctor had missed some fragments the first time that were hidden behind other fragments... so she had to open his leg up again. She couldn't put him to sleep either for the operation so she just gave him some really strong pain-killers.
The whole operation took around an hour - he eventually passed out during it from the pain-killers but it didn't last for long. He woke up as the operation was ending and paid the Doctor with the information that she wanted and left the underground illegal "hospital". He started thinking about everything that had happened the last couple of months as he wandered through the back-alleys. It all started with meeting Aurora... He was just out on a normal grocery-run when he accidentally bumped into Aurora. Then she had nearly forced him into her house where they ended up talking for quite a while. Then one thing led to another and the next day he found out that his master, Miyuki, had been abducted while he laid in an unusual bed.
Then shortly after that, Aurora had also been abducted. Of course Leon wouldn't let either of them go so easily. He called in an old favor and made Fenrir help him break into the SRA to rescue them. That went all well and according to plan for the most part except from when he was shot three times. After that Miyuki had stayed with them for a little while then just kinda left. Leon went through quite a bit of drama with Aurora over that time and ended up getting her pregnant and proposing to her.
He wondered where he would be right now if he hadn't bumped into the love of his 2000-year old life on that day. Would he still be serving Miyuki? Would he have died trying to protect her from the kidnappers? He didn't know, but he was perfectly happy with his current position in life. Then, something snapped him out of that thought process. He saw a girl falling from the wall and then a young man catching her. He could tell almost immediately that he was a vampire... that was one of the perks of working for a royal vampire family for hundreds of years. Shortly after the girl had ran away from her savior.
Leon took a couple of steps forward out from the shadows of where he was... and then he realized he was in Edge Park. He had no idea how he got there... he was supposed to head straight home. He was too loopy to follow simple signs to get home though. He popped a cough-drop into his mouth as he got behind the man and asked. "Nice night, isn't it?"... not what he needed to ask but with his brain as it currently was that was the best thing to say.

Tsumi sighed again, he almost wanted to pursue the child, to make sure she got home safely. Beginning to wonder if she even had a home or if the damned academy had destroyed hers. Though he'd never felt an ounce of guilt for turning in his adopted family to the wretched place. Demons if anything belonged there. He was most displeased with the fact that their king was in there. It was sickening. Tsumi tensed slightly when the scent of a demon rolled over his nose. A cringe and anger shot through his body when the smell of a cough drop hit him then. Far too close for his heightened senses to be comfortable with. Covering his nose, with a violent glare as he slowly turned to face the demon. Nice night. Isn't it? Tsumi merely scoffed as he dropped his hand from his nose.
Though he still looked pained as his glare didn't soften. Idle talk, from a lowly demon, he reeked of a pureblood family as well. Another shudder, most things Tsumi couldn't stand in the vampire world was the pureblood families. He didn't like the lot of them, and that wasn't going to change. "Back off." Tsumi had half turned his body, and had balled his fist closest to the demon. If he couldn't tell by now, Tsumi wasn't very friendly. If the demon had been a child, he would have been weakened, but because he wasn't, Tsumi hated him. Tsumi could feel heat rising in his body, though something was off with this demon. He smelled impure somehow. The pained expression on his face didn't fade as he glared coldly at the demon. Tsumi didn't doubt that this demon knew he was a vampire.
A smirk slipped over his face. But perhaps not who he was, not many demons knew him though. He didn't know a great number that paid attention to human fancies. Humans would go crazy over him, he was in many popular magazines after all. Tsumi chased off those thoughts, waiting for him to react or respond. "Why is it that you smell impure demon?" Tsumi nearly hissed, fighting to not allow his eyes to glow red. He was too close to the wall for comfort so he moved away instead. Returning his gaze to the sky, he was pretty confident that if this demon chose to attack him, he could do something about it. Especially with such an impure stench reeking from him. Though the delicious scent of blood was mingling in there as well. He had to keep himself in check, so as not to drool or think about a meal now. But it had been so long....

"Back off."
Leon was surprised from the hostile reaction to his presence. He took a step back just to do what he said but was now cautious of him too. He bit into the cough-drop which resulted in a loud crunching noise as it split in half and looked down to the boy. He seemed... familiar somehow. "Have we met?" he asked with a cautious yet confused sounding tone. The boy almost looked as if he was disgusted with him. Why would he be? Leon never did anything to him... plus he was a vampire. He's only had the greatest of respect for vampires. Vampires are the ones who saved his life and he's fallen in love with a vampire, he'd treat this vampire with respect too even if none was given in return. Plus he met quite a few other noble and royal vampires that looked down on him before since he was just a demon and even worse - their servant.
"Why is it that you smell impure demon?"
"Hah... what do you mean by that?" Leon replied, this time with slight anger in his voice. What did he mean by "impure"? He couldn't think of a single thing. It's not like a demon could be impure anyways... Well not that he knew of. He crunched into the broken cough-drop in his mouth again and this time it broke into even more small pieces. He took another cough-drop out of his pocket and popped it into his mouth. He thought of what he could have meant... did his scent somehow get mixed slightly with that of Aurora's from always being around her and so close? If that was the case... wouldn't he know the scent of a royal vampire? So why was he treating him with such hostility? He only hoped that he could have the confusion cleared up from the boy... and then maybe pointed in the direction home.

Tsumi smirked when anger took hold of the demon. At least he knew, something about being impure made him upset. Clearly, but confused. Simpleton. Familiar, that was a bit surprising to him. Maybe if he did work with or around royalty he knew him. Purebloods sometimes kept tabs on their nobility, and Tsumi was just one of the few handfuls of nobles that was famous. "No. We haven't." His voice was still smooth and cold as he watched. He couldn't help but let his smirk widen. The anger only amused him. Impure. It upset him, the confusion registering. Tsumi only wanted to further enrage him but perhaps refrained for maybe he did have connections. Purebloods could discipline nobility just as easily as the king could. Hah... what do you mean by that?
Tsumi bit his tongue, blood slipped back down into his throat and seemed to distract him only slightly. Not taking his eyes off the moon for a few more moments, before he turned around. The stench of the cough drop made him cringe again as he walked ever closer, trying to get the demon to back away. Hatred only seemed to be swimming in his eyes now. "What's wrong? Did I hit a nerve? Don't like being called impure? Don't worry, I'm not talking about the fact you smell of a pureblood. I wouldn't ever talk about my own species in such a way, but you smell impure to me." Tsumi quirked his brow and took another step, so as to get his face so close to the demon's. A flick of a smile as his fang flashed toward the demon. He wouldn't touch a royal's pet, only scare them that wasn't against rules was it?

"No. We haven't."
"Ah... You just seem pretty familiar. Maybe you look like one of those underwear models on billboards or the like..." Leon said - still sounding slightly mad but completely serious. He looked over the boy once more... but still couldn't figure out how he seemed familiar. The vampire-boy stepped closer but Leon didn't budge from his position. He wouldn't move no matter how close he got.
"What's wrong? Did I hit a nerve? Don't like being called impure? Don't worry, I'm not talking about the fact you smell of a pureblood. I wouldn't ever talk about my own species in such a way, but you smell impure to me."
As soon as the vampire had mentioned that it wasn't about how he had the smell of pureblood on him, his expression changed from slightly angry to relieved. He didn't care if he was the one being insulted, the vamp just wasn't allowed to insult those he cared about. It was almost amusing now that it seemed like the boy was trying to insult him. He still didn't budge at all when the vampire had gotten right up in his face and even made sure to make direct eye-contact. He stared into the vampires eyes with eyes full of confidence and asked "Is there a problem? You seem bothered. Are you bothered?"

Tsumi was surprised, relief? A low chuckle slipped past his lips as he straightened up reached over to give the demon a slight shove. It wasn't out of playfulness, Tsumi was trying to push him to his limit. It was his entertainment. Underwear model? No he'd only had one shoot with that, and it'd went terribly, his agent was so upset she still hadn't shut up about it. "Does my face seem familiar? I'm not an underwear model but I dabble in magazine and fashion modeling. Surprising, you can keep up with the pace of the vampires. Why is it you're so interested in us? Trying to be something you'll never achieve?" Tsumi nearly hissed, he couldn't keep his anger hidden any longer, eyes were glowing red. The scent of the blood had only driven him further into anger, but he controlled himself exceptionally well.
Tsumi adjusted his tie though and cleared his throat. Demons weren't to be trusted. Bothered? more than bothered by him. Tsumi smirked again, flashing his fangs, it was an obvious threat. He was so tempted to just drag this fool away. His headache slammed into him, not this again. He wasn't going to get into trouble again because of this. He held the side of his head and shut one eye, pain rippled through his face. "Problem? Yes, there is a problem, I am bothered. By you. Your entire race is disgusting! You're an absolute idiot for pretending to be like us. You should all just be killed. How a pureblood ever found the company of you so pleasing is beyond me. You're so worthless! All of you damned things!" Tsumi was so absolutely angry. Demons were all so absolutely disgusting to him. They took away Midori. He would never forgive such a race.

Leon considered changing into his demon form for just a second... the vampire was close enough to be exposed to the radiation emitted from his body... but he didn't want to fight. Then the vampire had put his hands on him as if to push him. He let him push him back a little, but he didn't lose his footing and just returned to where he originally was with a face as if it hadn't bothered him at all. Lots of people annoyed him to the point where he would punch them hard enough to break bones... but those were always over small stupid things. People who purposely tried to annoy him were never able to do so without attacking something personal.
"Ah, so you're a model. That makes sense, you're face seems pretty enough to do so. I was actually approached by a... what are they called? Scouts or something? That's not my type of thing though." he spoke with a tone as if he knew the vampire was truly interested in what he had to say, but he knew that he wouldn't be. "I'm not trying to be anything but myself. I'm a proud demon, why would I want to be a vampire?" He sounded as if he was saying demons were better than vampires, but he didn't feel that way. He saw them as equals.
Then something seemed to be wrong with the vampire as he watched him shut an eye and place a hand on the side of his head as if having a headache. It was interesting to listen to him say that he actually was bothered... he figured the vampire would be too proud to say something like that. What he spoke didn't really bother him though. Sure, he was insulting his whole species but... most of his fellow demons weren't very nice in the first place so the anger was understandable. What he said about how a pureblood finding him pleasing did cause him to think a little though... "That's right, why does she find my company pleasing? Why does she lo-..." then he remembered what she had said to him before. She said she loves him. He had faith in that and so his thinking was pointless.
"Why does a pureblood find my company pleasing? Hah... I guess I'm just a pretty likeable demon." he replied, putting emphasis on "demon".

Likeable? Tsumi's headache grew worse, as he fought off what was to come. No, not start another fight. His agent would absolutely kill him again. At least like the many times she threatened to anyway. Tsumi knew he was pretty, but he wasn't surprised this demon was scouted out. He looked like the build that scouts normally targeted. Tsumi hissed now, his eyes aglow red as he reached his hand out to grab the demon's throat. He had no real intent to hurt him because he belonged to a pureblood. Tsumi scoffed slightly as he threw his hand back at his side. "A pretty face huh? I don't think you'd cut it in such a vicious place for a career. You can only let yourself be protected by a pureblood for so long. Until they get tired of you." Tsumi spat angrily, he'd never had a good run in with any of the purebloods.
They'd gotten tired of him, the high society barely noticed him other than the fact he was the last surviving Kaito noble. Perhaps he'd be more important if he were a pureblood. He served them loyally but didn't mean he'd have to like them. Especially demonic pets. Tsumi hated how this demon talked especially. As if the demons were equal or better than the vampires. It only further angered him. "Proud to be a demon? That's disgusting. Even more repulsive than the though of you trying to be one of us. Likeable? That's the funniest joke I've ever heard. You're not exception to your race. I'll bet you pureblood master has you wrapped around her finger eh? Do you let her drink you blood?" Tsumi was aiming to hurt him now. Pain flooded his body as he slammed his hand over his left eye, baring his fangs in a clear threat. It was almost unthinkable in vampire society. At least his parents had taught him that.

"Hah, yes, such a viscous career~ I'd have to be surrounded by a bunch of people arguing about what color underwear looks best on me. Then I'd have to stay still and take pictures, so hard~" Leon said teasingly. He knew that the life of models can actually be extremely stressful, but he didn't care. He thought the job of modelling was always rather silly and pointless. Sure, they help show off clothes or whatever they're modelling but does it really get that many more sales using a live model rather than a mannequin or something?
When the vampire had mentioned him being protected by a pureblood, and then how the pureblood would get tired of him - that made a visible expression of slight anger appear on his face. For an instant he began to wonder again if it's true... but the same thing that stopped him from wondering such a thing earlier would stop him from wondering it again. She loves me. When the vampire then proceeded to ask if he lets her drink his blood a quick glance of worry was surely visible in his eyes. He knew that vampires weren't supposed to drink blood from anybody but other vampires and that was just to be in a romantic way that only lovers do... Would Aurora possibly get in trouble if it were found out that she drank his blood sometimes? He didn't mind that she did.. he even liked it when she did. He'd tell her to do it sometimes even whenever she wanted blood.
"Yes, I am proud to be a demon. I also fail to see the problem in that. And yes, likeable. Isn't that rather obvious? You seem to be enjoying my company very much at this moment. As for the matter of 'being wrapped around her finger', I see no problem with that as long as I'm happy doing so. If something makes you happy, why not do it? Or rather, as long as it's both morally and legally acceptable, why not do it?" he spoke to the vampire like a teacher lecturing one of his students. He could disobey Aurora any time he wanted to, but he wouldn't. He loved her and doing whatever she asked made him happy. He also doubted that she was abusing that loyal/obedient quality. Even if she did abuse you though then he wouldn't mind.
"I may be wrong here, but it would appear that you have something wrong with demons. Why is that?"

Anger slammed through him again at the comment. Obviously he didn't seem to know a thing about modeling as a career. He wasn't one. Tsumi scoffed, tightening his grip on the left side of his face, almost to the point that he started bleeding, just to distract his body from the unbearable pain in his head. Tsumi tightened his free hand into a fist as he glared at him. "Not only would you not make it, you're stupid too. It's a lot more work than just standing there and looking pretty." Tsumi spat again, something he cared deeply about was his career, even if it didn't seem like it. It was all he really had anymore. Why would he throw something like that away? Tsumi glared at him a bit more now, something flashed across his face. So maybe it was true, but at least she wasn't running around turning humans into minions who became beasts that had to be killed. He knew about that, he'd had to kill a few before.
Tsumi was almost enraged about him questioning his hate for demons. Perhaps if he knew about the Kaito murders, he'd know why his hatred had been triggered. A demon had tipped the humans off about them being vampires. The council had taken care of the humans but the demon got away. Most likely was still alive, that's why half of what he did was because of his hatred of them. Taking away his parents, his beautiful sister. Not a chance he would forgive their race. Not a chance he'd forgive the humans, he merely had to work with them because modeling was something he enjoyed doing. Not to mention vampires blended in quite well in a high society mainstream with humans. "But the question is if its legally acceptable. Moral values are so downcast it's really a pity. Don't fool yourself, I don't enjoy your company at all. Why do I hate you? Why do I hate your species? Go run home to your master and ask her about the Kaito family. Maybe then you'll understand something significant for once." Tsumi had retreated from his hostile manner. He looked blatantly hurt. The past wasn't something he could handle bringing up.

"I'm stupid? Well, I must admit that I'm not exactly smart and that even you are probably smarter than me... but I couldn't really care about how smart I am. I am, however, smart enough to realize that all models do is stand there and look pretty despite what you previously said." Leon replied - obviously joking about that last sentence. He got even closer to the vampire even though he was already very close. He was trying to be intimidating. Then he wondered what Aurora would think if she saw them so close together... Probably nothing good would come of that.
The vampire seemed to get even more mad when his hate for demons for question. A slight smirk appeared on Leon's face in response to his anger. Normally, he wouldn't enjoy causing a vampire - or anybody else for that matter - to be angry. But, he had verbally assaulted him several times now and was even talking about Aurora in a less-than-respectable way. He wouldn't have that. He just shrugged in response to what he said about morals but then a surprised expression appeared on his face once more as he started talking about his hate for demon.s He hadn't expected him to do that.
"Kaito...? That sounds familiar...." he said while deep in thought trying to figure out how he knew that name. Then he remembered something from a couple of years ago during a vampire meeting((or ball, if they have those)). He was able to recall serving appetizers on the main floor of the event and quite a few of the groups of vampires were talking in hushed voices about the Kaito family... what was it again? Something bad had happened to them, but he couldn't remember exactly what it was.... Oh... that's who you are. He remembered.
"I don't remember your name, but I know of you and your family. They were killed by humans, weren't they? I see no point in hating demons for that. Did they have a demon help them out or something like that? Even if that was the case it's rather stupid to hate all of demons when surely more humans were involved in that event. And then you get offended over me insulting your job of posing in clothes for the very humans who killed your family? Your hate is misguided." he said with that same teacher-to-student voice. He didn't know the whole story of what happened to his family - just that they were killed by humans.

His hate was misguided? Working with the very things that killed his family. No, he didn't blame humans, they were stupid and susceptible to following a leader. What other place was there to work with? There wasn't a little world of vampires anymore in which he could just run away to. Tsumi shook his head, swallowing back a lump. No, his hate was not misguided. "You can stop taking cheap shots on my career any time. It's not like I can completely avoid humans anymore either. My company is at least owned by someone of my species. I'd really love to see you survive more than three shoots with my agent."
Hadn't he been the one to save that demon child before too? Was his hate really misguided? Doubt. No, it wasn't. "My hate is not misguided. The humans wouldn't have known a thing had it not been for a demon who'd pointed the finger at us. The one who'd rallied the humans to attack us. A demon was their leader, and I don't blame the humans. They're stupid and weak minded as well as weak willed. They will follow anything that offers them someone who will lead them. I won't ever forgive your race for that. How would you feel if someone took your pureblood away from you, and it was another vampire? Wouldn't you hate us too?"
Tsumi was now challenging him. His hate wasn't misguided, and he hated that this demon thought he was so much smarter. He felt like his body was falling apart. Generally he was pretty level headed, though a jerk. Tsumi didn't throw emotional fits like this often, stress was probably getting to him. His cell phone began going off, one look at the name had him shove it back in his pocket. He just came from work, he wasn't going back this early. In fact Tsumi was thinking about taking some time off to rest. "Say what you want, but you won't ever understand." Tsumi had dropped his hand from his left eye, which thankfully he'd prevented from embarrassing him further.

"Hah... cheap shots. If I was really being cheap I'd mention the ridiculous clothes that models wear." Leon replied with a sarcastic tone. He listened intently to what the vampire spoke of about how humans were weak-minded. Something then snapped in his head when the vampire mentioned Aurora being taken away... It sounded like a threat to him and he wouldn't let any threat on his love pass. He was officially annoyed now. He took a cough-drop out of his pocket and popped it into his mouth to try and calm down.
"No, I'd hate the vampire who did it. I'd just dislike the rest of them - not hate. How would you feel if the demon who led the humans that killed your family was saved by your fellow vampires? Such as myself, I was saved by a royal family of vampires. Then what if I killed your family? Would you hate those vampires too? After all, they saved me. If it weren't for them, I'd be dead and your family would be alive. Then would you hate all other vampires too? You don't pin the mistakes of one onto an entire species. My family was executed by humans, so was another demon's family that I know. Do I hate all of humans for it? No. I hate that specific organization of humans. I can understand you hating demons related to the demon that led the humans who killed your family, but not every demon in general. It's childish and stupid. You're rather young, probably not even older than two-hundred, right? Maybe when you're older you'll understand. Don't just assume that others can't relate to your own past." he said, this time sounding almost fatherly. No.. maybe not fatherly, maybe he sounded like he pitied the vampire. All he knew was that this vampire had annoyed him. It probably wouldn't be a very smart thing to punch a model in the face... but he didn't really care right now. He made what sounded like a threat on his love and had been acting like he was better than him the whole time. Annoying. He raised his right fist and swung it at the vampire's face. There wasn't enough force in his punch to knock him out, but maybe break his nose if that's where he hit.

Tsumi merely rolled his eyes. Ridiculous clothes maybe, he agreed with that but they still felt they needed someone to do it. He looked disgusted, almost surprised a royal family had saved him. Though something about what he'd said irked him. Tsumi may be childish, perhaps but was it really wrongly misplaced? The human's memories had been wiped, who could he blame then? The question he asked, was a most certain yes. If he had killed Tsumi's family, most definitely he would hate him. It almost made him wonder if he was playing innocent, if it was the demon who'd killed his family. Anger flared again, he knew almost immediately when the demon swung at him, that he took his words to be a threat to someone he cared about. Tsumi being so lost in though caught a blow to the face. His hand shot up to his face, shutting his eyes tightly. More he'd have to explain to Haruka. Tsumi was the type to get into fights, but he usually swung back. "You're in love with her aren't you?"
Tsumi hadn't stopped holding his face, blood now dripping from beneath his hand, flashbacks of the night they were killed. Suffocating in water, Midori being killed by the demon himself. A face he couldn't remember as he could only stare at the demon without expression. Tsumi pulled his hand away, looking at the pool of it in his hand, he simply turned his hand to the side, the blood pouring from his hand to the ground. "You know, you say you're not stupid, but why would an aristocrat with one surviving member of their said clan make a threat on a royal family? Though now I question you." Tsumi now moved toward him with a violent intent, throwing his hand toward the demon, attempting to grab his shirt so he could pull him right up to his face. Humans had turned once, they could turn again. "It was you wasn't it? " Tsumi wasn't all there, he was still partially reliving the night his family died. Don't assume things about what I hate? Can you blame me? Can you blame me for being wary to trust, to follow an emotion that's so familiar? Acting childish? Of course I act childish! I had no childhood!" This time Tsumi swung at him out of shear anger, not notice that tears had sprung to his eyes. It wasn't acceptable to see an aristocrat cry, let alone a royal family.
