Riku hesitantly backed away as the patient began thrashing about. Riku felt bad trying to touch her or force her down as usual doctors would have done but he knew better considering her condition and it was best to let her calm down; she wasn't crazy. 'Ren brought you here; I am his most trusted doctor you could say" Riku smiled trying to give a calming tone out of his facial expressions. Riku took notice of her pale white skin feeling bad he could do nothing for her yet.
Riku was a very political doctor alot of people went to him but most with something easy or atleast easy to him and this was like a challenge that he had to complete because someones life was at stake. 'I am doctor Riku" Yes Riku used his first name, his last name was taken by many so using his first name rather sounded appropriate. "Feel free to call me Riku; we are going to be spending alot of time together from now on!" Riku smiled to her.
She probably would think this as a bad thing being cooped up in a hospital near a new docctor she didn't know but Riku didn't care he knew what it took to heal something he knew the pressures the people went through and he took it as his soul duty to help those in needs and Mayumi was in need.

Mayumi was surprised when he'd stepped back from her. Mos doctors would've forced her back down, however she lay at rest now. She'd never seen nor heard of him before. Then Ren's name came up, and her eyes cast downward at the mention of his name. He was such a different person than depicted, and yet she couldn't be totally disappointed in him. Mayumi listened carefully as he spoke. His name was Riku, unusual. It sounded more like a first name but who knew. Mayumi gave the doctor a half smile folding her hands in her lap. Glancing up again. "Here I thought I knew all the doctors.. Spending a lot of time together.... " Mayumi paused again glancing down. She never thought of it much. How much she ached for her best friend at her side again. That would never be.
"I suppose it's gotten worse, right?" Mayumi looked back up at Riku still donning a brave and warm smile. Her sickness had been with her since birth. She could only hope it wouldn't kill her now. Mayumi giggled softly as she settled back into the pillows a bit more. Completely calm as she could feel her body getting hotter while her skin remained ice cold. A fever no doubt, it was notorious for her, a light sweat marred her skin. More noticeably on her face. Her green hair shone dully in the artificial light. Mayumi again glanced toward the ceiling. "I suppose it's alright, if it means I'll get better. Riku. That's such a unique name. I like it.. I'm sure you already know that I'm Mayumi, but well.. I'm Mayumi." Her bright smile returned into full view as she returned her gaze to Riku. Her body aching at the touch of everything though no one would ever guess by her bright personality.

"You must've been to many hospitals?" Riku swiveled around on his computer chair looking into the holographic computer screen. Riku's face was illuminated slightly as he read through more medical information souley based on Mayumi. "I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the more you strain yourself the less time you will have 'here'" Ren paused listening to what he was saying. For once he felt like he couldn't do anything but he knew better then that. "I sound like a horrible doctor don't I?" Ren smiled to cover up his doubts.
Riku had no idea how to cure something that dumb-founded him so much. Adding alot of calcium would strengthen her bones but not main parts of the body aswell. Riu turned to face Mayumi; he had already calculated how much he was going to spend with her based on how sick she was and he was going to be there for awhile. "So we are going to be spending alot of time hopefully not as much as I calculated but I don't like the room looking so dull" Riku smiled warmly to her as he reached underneath her bed.
Riku slid out a small tub lifting the lid and pulling out more thick and colorful blankets and sheets with pillows. "I am not a psychologist but I know how it feels to be cooped up in a hospital room all day" Riku placed the sheets and that on the foot of the bed. "Hopefully that will spice up the place a little." Riku smiled to her before returning to his computer.

Mayumi watched Riku as he stared at the monitor briefly. Shrugging her shoulders as if covering her head. It wasn't entirely wrong the notion she hadn't pushed herself too hard. Mayumi had just been released earlier that day to be honest. Only just stable enough as they'd said. Mayumi could feel a twitch of a smile at the question. Hospitals had consumed most of her life, no happy childhood memories. Only needles, and doctors, and pain. "You could literally say I live in them. I was only just released from another one earlier this morning." Mayumi admitted that somewhat shyly. Looking up slightly surprised. "I don't think you're a horrible doctor.. At least you're actually listening to me instead of assuming something right off the bat."
Mayumi's bright smile returned again. Watching him as he pulled out some more colourful blankets and other bed items. It was true, the lackluster alabaster walls really ate up one's sanity. She really didn't want to be cooped up inside again. "I suppose that means I'll be denied privilege to go outside, right? They did that in the other hospital, under the acclimation that my condition would get worse... I just can't help it I hate being inside." Mayumi again ducked her head as she returned her gaze to her neatly folded hands. Rolling her two thumbs around each other. Though smiling a slight sadness was lingering in her eyes. She was disappointed at how quickly she was right back. "Has my mother been notified? I don't want her to have to spend another month in a hospital just because of me." Mayumi laughed quietly as she looked back up, feeling dizzy again, she could feel her face grow paler again. As if her eyes didn't look bruised and tired enough.
Mayumi eventually tried to sit forward again. Though her body was still weak from the relapse, it was a visible struggle for her to stay upright. Though she smiled tiredly as the room began spinning. She could act, even if it wasn't the best thing for her. "It should spice things up a bit at least... Will you be able to find out why my relapse this time was so quick?" She was always concerned with her condition, though wanted to be normal so badly she ignored it. Mayumi swung her legs over the edge of the bed, as if she were to get up, though it was more because it was easier to stay upright. Leaning over slightly she glanced at her bare feet. A near white pale the shade of her skin now. "I must look horrible." Again her smile graced her face as she joked slightly. "I'm sorry for making you work so hard." Mayumi smiled brightly again and sat upright, more so. She wanted to walk again, though her dizziness warned her not to play fate twice.

Riku checked the computer again quickly learning what took others years of studying her condition. Good things they kept records huh? Riku turned to a neatly diversed table top that had arranged needles in it. Riku felt bad giving her a shot at this time but he had to test it. "I hate giving you a shot right now; but I think I might be able to give you some temporary releif on some of your symptoms." Riku took two needles tapping them gently. "One is a calcium shot 2x the rgular potency to increase bone strength; the other is for muscle and tisue strength.
Riku looked at her with a slight sigh. "I can't promise to go outside alot; but you are welcome to as long as I am near" Riku often got devoted to his work so there was going to be a few all nighters for him already. Studying testing mixing. Alot of people would be stressed but this is what Riku liked to do. He liked to help others that was the whole reason he had become a doctor.

Mayumi hardly flinched at the shot, it was all the same routine. It also wasn't the first time they'd given her this type of shot. It was supposed to support her body, but instead the last time her body just burned through it. Treating it as an infection, at least her cell count went up. Mayumi suppressed the urge to laugh at her own joke, that was the least of her worries. Mayumi had fallen silent for a while, though she'd played careful as to keep her mind guarded by wearing a shy smile on her lips. To a point she felt detached, as if she weren't actually in her body any longer, there was always an intense pain in her torso though now increased as she faked her feeling normal after something like that. It was pulsing though she sat upright, finally looking back up at Riku. "As long as your near?.." Mayumi felt as if she were speaking a foreign language as the words spilled from her mouth.
That same sensation creeping up on her again. Making her head feel fuzzy, and the world start spinning faster. Mayumi could feel her grip loosening on the edge of the bed, but she quickly regained it. Placing her head in one of her hands and shutting her eyes tightly. Not realizing she was leaning forward as if she were about to fall over again. Headaches, fatigue, weakness. And all the painful memories that went right along with it. Mayumi refused to open her eyes, the sounds were all muffled, the movement of machines seemed enhanced even if they weren't in the same room. But slow the sensation of being underwater and yet sounds incredibly intensified. "I guess it's okay if it's you..." It was easy to see Mayumi was fighting to keep herself alert, not to fall back under the darkness she so feared she'd never wake from.

Riku continued to type away on his computer; he was just running certain chemicals in an effectto stengthen her immune system without causing damage to anything else; she seemed so frail that he needed to come up with something that had no side effect. Riku tried each time; each running through a diagnostic that pulled up as a failure. he turned to her noticing her seemingly almost fall? "Mayumi!" Riku called to her ready to spring forth if she actually had fallen.
"You there? You need some fresh air or something?" Riku knew alot about what was going on with her body weak and frail mentally and physically it seemed. He knew she would have her doubts weather or not she would survive so Riku had to try even harder. Riku wanted her to atleast have some fun; he did say he was going to watch her and even though it seemed like she was going to pas out that was worse if itactually happened. He needed a way to get her semi-active but not straining her too much.
Riku kept his eyes trained on her waiting for reaction and waiting to take action if anything happened.

Mayumi! The same underwater sensation hit her as his words reached her ears. Mayumi inhaled deeply, trying to regain control over her own body. It was an odd thing, the longing for a colder temperature seemed to let her body react in complacence. Pulling her hand away from her face as the feelings began fading, it did remind her of the time she'd received the same shot before. It happened then too although it wasn't supposed to. Mayumi smiled softly though a certain tiredness could be read in her face. Instead of letting herself rest she slid off the bed and onto her feet, letting her smile widen tiredly. "I think fresh air could be helpful. I'm sorry, I'm fine just a headache."
Mayumi tilted her head and her face lit up brightly as if none of this affected her mentality. It did take it's toll but she didn't want to feel inadequate. Especially to someone like this, even though she should let him help her she didn't want him to. Mayumi was doubtful she had much longer to live in the slightest, so it was her best interest to be as happy as possible. Mayumi gave Riku her usual two fingered salute, reaching over to push him as she would her friends but retracted her hand quickly. Thinking better of it, she may hurt herself again, that or he'd take it the wrong way. Mayumi figured he'd eventually get to know who she was, but did she really want that? Yes. Mayumi honestly did this time as she extended her hand again. More gesturing that she wanted him to take her hand and show her where she was allowed to go for now.
Mayumi partially didn't trust her own legs to keep her upright anyway. "I'll try my best not to push myself too hard." Another brightened and warm smile lit up her features as she closed her eyes just from the size of the smile. Tilting her head again and arm still extended, with her fingers reaching toward him. She hoped she wouldn't have to explain her reasoning for this gesture. Mayumi took it though Riku wasn't like the other doctors she'd spent over half her life with. The fogginess wasn't clearing up yet though, usually at least the fresh air was good for relieving her dizziness. Honestly, Mayumi wished she could've been normal for the simple fact her passionate love for the outdoors was what took a toll on her mentality the most. At times it was even so bothersome she'd remembered days crying when she was sick just because she couldn't go out side like the other children. Painful, painful memories that should be locked away..

Riku looked at her; a feeling of helplessness overtook him. What if he couldn't help her... what if he couldn't sve her? What if she.... di... Riku's mind somehow tried stopping him from thinking such things; it was against his personality to think this way. Riku had never lost a patience; the only thing that would die in his hospital is people of old age; remarkable yes but anything the others couldn't so Riku would take there place. He was a vmpire yes; it was had for him to ee blood yes; but he loved helping others and he was never going to quit this job and he was going to cure her!
Riku smiled to her realizing he became lost in thought. Riku took her hand realizing what she was doing. "Follow me okay? and stay on the right side while we are walking inside the hospital." Riku just didn't want her bumping into others. He opened the door lettingher go first and walking very slowly. The hospital was crowded; full of patients and doctors who all seemed to smile as they notice Riku walk bye. He simply smiled back and continued walking.
"Hey Clarise; I'm taking Mayumi out a for a bit" The secretary glared at him before writing on a peice of a paper. Riku turned from the main entrance going down another hall through to the Doctors entrance. The bright sun beat through as he opened the doors and the two small trees on both left and right.

Mayumi could easily feel the warmth of his hand encase her cold one. It was odd to think that she felt cold, because it seemed her temperature was lower than an average human. Mayumi followed Riku from the room, walking slightly behind him. Though she was a bright upbeat, Mayumi still felt like a lost child. The flooding sea of faces, those sickly as was she swarming by as doctors swam among the crowds as well. Mayumi inadvertently tightened her grip on Riku's hand, as if it were remotely strong, everything about her was weak. Hospitals though familiar never ceased to scare her. Mayumi had always feared she'd pass away surrounded by walls like these, and people like these before her. Walking mindlessly with Riku and nearly running into him when he paused to tell the secretary they were headed outside. The look Mayumi caught made her shrink back as well. It wasn't that she was shy, but she felt.... vulnerable.
Soon the light flooded over her body, and she squinted and blinked rapidly, trying to get used to the blinding light opposedt o the dim hospital lighting. Or dim compared to the sun. Mayumi inhaled slowly at first, another smile slipping over her face, she felt slightly better already being outside. She let her free hand brush over the branches of the trees that stood to each side of the doors. Though her gaze was instantly distracted by some of the flowers that seemed to have been left planted. Though the cold months were approaching, they'd fade away. Mayumi felt like a flower sometimes. No, a flower was an exact description of her . Save for the beautiful part, she was fragile and would fade away just as they had with her weak body. So at the mercy of the elements. Unknowingly Mayumi tugged on Riku's hand. She'd forgotten he'd lead her out and looked back quickly.
Embarrassment didn't even come as it had while with Ren. A soft bright smile as she pointed toward the flowers. "Can we go over there?" Mayumi reminded herself more and more of a child than a hopefully coming adult. No, she couldn't think like that. Mayumi would become an adult, and perhaps even one day a mother. If she could ever fix this frail body of hers. "Come with me please?" Mayumi could easily be compared to a flower. Nearly everything in common with them, and her personality so bright, it was as if she had a colour all her own, just like the flowers.

Riku looked around the; the open feild covered by a fence; the other area with the flowers; and the obsene parking lot. Riku liked being outside and being a doctor he made his own hours but again he was always in the hospital. The sun-light beat upon him; it was times like these he forgot he was a vampire and he felt like he was 'normal' however he was a vampire all his life so this was his 'normal' but was theyre really a normal in general? What may be nromal for on may not be normal for the other?
Riku turned to her as she tugged at him a bit curious as what to she was thinking. Riku listened to her rather curiously thinking of what could happen; but he was a vampire right? he could rush her back in theblink of an eye so she should safe. "Yeah sure!" Riku smiled wamly to her as he began walking over to the flowers. "Take your time" Riku liked it whn his patients were in a good mood; it made him feel all the better.

Mayumi could feel a smile slip over her face as the two made their way over to the flowers. In her excitement, Mayumi quickly released his hand, her small framed fingers slipping out as if they were sand. Walking quickly over to a small bunch she found especially pretty. Kneeling down slightly, her small body hit the ground with a light thud as she knelt over the flowers, gently tracing her thin fingers over them. A childish smile, a childish quality of her as she sat there and folded her hands in her lap. Longingly gazing at the beautiful flowers, it reminded her of the times her mother would sing her a song. It was of course in another language that Mayumi wasn't incredibly familiar with. It didn't prevent it from sounding beautiful. A cold breeze made her duck her head slightly as her hair shot forward into her face, she shut her eyes tightly though kept a smile on her face. Eventually Mayumi found herself humming the tune of the beautiful song as she caressed the flowers again. Focused so intently on them, it was a wonder she'd kept interest in them so long.
Mayumi eventually sang the lyrics softly as well. All but forgetting Riku was there, she felt as if she were alone. "Saita nono hana yo, A douka oshiete okure, Hito wa naze Kizutsuke atte arasou nondesho." Mayumi paused singing again, smiling slightly embarrassed as she remembered someone else was with her. That and she'd forgotten some of the lyrics to the song. She'd have to ask her mother to teach her the full song the next time she saw her. Mayumi sat back and fell silent, hands neatly folded in her lap as she stared at the flowers. Trying to pretend as if she hadn't been singing just a minute ago. Mayumi found her gaze slowly travel to Riku, looking up at him from her position on the ground. Resting her weak body on her knees. Sometimes she wondered what others thought of her, or what others were thinking about in general. Mayumi smiled again faintly.
"My mother used to sing that to me as a child.... I wish I knew what it said though.." Mayumi fell silent again, as if it enhanced her embarrassment. Looking back down at the flowers with an intense gaze as she balled her hands into fists. Pressing them tightly into her thighs as she continued staring at the flowers. "Riku?" Mayumi paused again. Trying to find the strength to turn her gaze back to look at him. She felt so childish, though it could've been expected of her. Her childhood stolen away by these monstrous buildings that gave birth to life as well as death. Mayumi finally hesitantly returned her gaze to him, tightening her fists even more. "What kinds of flowers do you like?" Mayumi smiled shyly again dropping her head. Such a child, why was it she felt so different here?
[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote] OOC;; O: lovin this thread ALSO This is the song she's singing andd sounds similar to the singer just to give you an idea : D

Riku took in a big breath of air; as the world seened to slow to a dull silent. Except fro that of Mayumi's heart-beat which was oddly loud. Riku looked down to his hand; somehow it had been projevying her heart beat to him? That wasn't un common placing your ears on something enhances the ability in a way and Riku was 'super natural' Riku was soon toned out of his lull as he noticed the soft hum perhaps even the sound of some lyrics?
He looked down to the sight of Mayumi softly humming some sort of lullaby. Riku couldn't help but smile at her; she seemed to be having such a great time. "It sounds beautiful" Riku's attitude at the moment was almost of pure fun, enjoyment. But he would soon have to continue his work continue searching for the right elements the right bond, the right chemicals. Each he would have to sift through and find the right one for her. This wasn't going to be any easy task was it?

Mayumi sat back further on the balls of her feet. Feeling suddenly tired again, her head was fogging up a bit. She placed one of her hands gingerly on the right side of her head, just slightly above her temple. Staring at the ground with a faint smile, and half hearted chuckle. Letting her hand that held some flowers slide to the ground, it felt cool then again maybe she was warm. It did feel cold outside, at least on her skin, but her body felt as though it were on fire. Mayumi gradually placed her other hand on the ground and shoved herself away from it. Trying not to seem too unstable, after all she hated to worry anyone. So she straightened her posture and began walking oddly out of boredom, not bending her knees and giggling slightly as she took massive ridiculous steps.
That is until she tripped, certain she'd fall and slam into the ground. Mayumi's eyes widened, though it wasn't as if it'd be a long fall, it felt like the world was in slow motion. Even the smallest of things, smallest injuries could make her condition so much worse. Especially falling down, how it would slam pain through her body, just with the impact of the blow. Mayumi didn't often run for fear of it, the pain was often horrible. She gasped slightly as she pushed her hands out to brace her for the fall, knowing she'd probably be in excruciating pain in a matter of moments now.
OOC;; Sorry this is crappy >:[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Riku was slightly mesmerized by the flowers to take any note of what Mayumi was doing; probably bad to not pay attention to your pateint huh? Riku's heart shot a mile s he realized she began walking somewhere without him hopefully not too far. Riku then spottedh er not to far about 10ft away from him so it seemed alright, but once again Mayumi managed to scare Riku out of his wits.
Good thing Riku could move much faster then any human or even any car. Riku seemed to dissapear and then reapear in a split second. Riku reached in arms out in a attempt to catch her. "You should really watch where you step" Riku smiled to her almost as if it wouldn't have matter if he stopped it or not, but he knew quite well how much pain she would be in if she fell.
{OOC: It's fine xD it's not horrible and aslong as your post I will be happy ^^}
