Mayumi immediately retracted her arms to her chest. Falling into Riku's arms, surprised her, she blinked rapidly. The thing so embarrassing for her, a blush soon coloured her cheeks as she began laughing. Imagine that, it didn't strike her as odd that he moved quickly, adrenaline sometimes made people do incredible things after all. Mayumi, reached out to slap his chest, without really thinking because it was something she did so often. Still giggling slightly.
"I should watch where I step huh? How should I do that, eyes on my feet?" Mayumi giggled again, retracting her hand again, though her joyful giggle was short lived. Mayumi started coughing again, quickly covering her mouth, more in attempt to hide her face. She hated feeling weak, but she was right about being warm. Her body felt like it was on fire again, maybe it was best she just stopped trying to unintentionally kill herself. It'd probably help Riku out in the long run.

Riku looked at her thoughtfully as she seemingly pawwed at his chest, or was that a slap? Whatever the intention Riku presumed it couldn't be that bad considering how happy she seemed. "It just means be more careful I geuss" iku shrugged slightly at her qeustion. The short moment she did fall into his arms; he could feelthe heat that radiated off of her and pained him to say it but.
"I think we better head inside" Riku tried saying it as positive as he could but he knew she wouldn't like to go back inside or atleast he could tell that much fom what she had said before. Riku placed his hand down in a way to signal her to gab it; again he didn't want her bumping into anyone out in the busy halls.
Riku again walked in through the big doors the hospital lights sort of blinding for a moment. Riku walked through the same halls he had once before this time the opposite of which he came and into Mayumi's designated room.

She sighed in obvious reluctance at his request. She didn't object though, he was right. It was a long run for him to even bring her outside in her condition. Mayumi certainly appreciated it though. Grabbing Riku's hand without hesitating. His hands were by far much cooler than her skin as well. She couldn't honestly deny that her heart was racing now though. Her body was still incredibly tired. Mayumi watched the people's faces flash by and shivered slightly. Hospital walls seemed so empty and uninviting. Riku obviously took the lead because Mayumi looked lost. It seemed like forever though that it took to get to her room. She was so incredibly tired.
She could feel her hand slip from his when her room came into focus, just barely. Mayumi tried not to look tired, as she made her way over to her bed. Sitting down on the edge and staring intently at Riku, wondering if he had any doctor like plans yet. Perhaps more tests, she'd never fought them. But often they broke her down because its all she really knew. Mayumi glanced at the floor with a slight smile, fiddling with the bracelet on her arm that told her name and other information on it. She felt more like an object on display than a human with an illness. Why did curses like this exist? Had she been born normal, she would be much happier. Mayumi sighed in relief, though her body was still burning up quickly. It seemed like it was going to be a long day.

Riku stared at his computer as he watched Mayumi go to bed. "Just promise me you'll tell me when your feeling down alright?" Riku didn't want her feeling bad either bur he meant when she was going to pass out or anything like that which was his main concern but mental state was pretty big too. Riku sat back in his chair; you would swear he was there all the time searching discovering learning. When Riku got his mind set on something there was no stopping him and he had to do it.
Riku continued looking at his sceen going through possible combinations when he had fallen asleep on the keyboard; it wwas very straining work to the eyes. Riku scrambled up when he heard a beep; a beep symboling a new possible mix of chemicals that could support Mayumi's defenses without harm to her. Not a full cure but it would make her immune system like that of a normal being. But... now he need to find it... Riku grabbed some glasses and began searching through the brambled text; it was all being reflected on the glasses aswell.

Mayumi hadn't really moved from the place she'd sat down in for awhile. Even when Riku had briefly fallen asleep. Her body was still so incredibly on fire it was unbearable to even have the blanket near her. So she thought better of it, draping over Riku and returning to her bed. Finally laying back, and shutting her eyes. Usually when she had a fever she began to sweat. But this one was so horrible, even that didn't seem to help. She turned on her side to minimize the discomfort. Nothing seemed to work, and it felt like her chest was collapsing on itself.
Maybe this time she'd actually die from her illness. Though it got worse every time she got sick, this was just painful. Mayumi was looking at Riku, when she jumped slightly at the beeping as well. More so when Riku had woken up, the blanket slipped immediately to the floor. Though she was in quite a bit of pain, she couldn't help but smile. Debating on telling him of her high fever. She knew that humans could suffer brain damage from them. That's what they told her the last time she had a fever even remotely as high as this one. She tried speaking, but a rush of air came out. Panic slammed her quickly. She cleared her throat though and found her voice. She calmed down after that. "Riku? Everything's so hot." Mayumi was surprised at her own voice. How weak she sounded, she buried her face into the pillow, almost scared now that she would in fact die this time..
