Kendra is a very stereotypical werewolf. Born with her powers rather than turned, she is pretty knowledgeable in her control and mastery over them. She has two forms that she can shift into other than her standard human form- that of a monstrous wolf-like humanoid, and also the form of what appears to be a large wolf. Her strongest attribute is strength, rather than speed, so her wolven forms are sturdily built on heavy skeletons with large jaws and even larger teeth. Her senses in all forms are keen as sin, particularly in relation to her sense of smell. But she also has good eyesight during the day, not so much at night. Her eyes glow in the dark in wolf form to help this, but it's not much, so she relies mainly on her sense of smell to guide her at night.
Appearance »»
Human form [x]
Wolf form(s) [x]
Kendra is not the kind of person to stand out terribly in a crowd. She's a little tall for a girl, reaching almost 5 ft 10 in in height, but is built slenderly with long limbs and features to match. She was essentially built to be tall, and it suits her body type well. Even her moderately sized hands and feet seem to fit right in to her overall form, despite being odd when observed individually. Her hands in particular are dry and calloused from nights spent on all fours in other forms, almost mimicking the rough feel of a wolf's pawpads, even in human form. She tends to wear gloves to try to reverse this, but most people find it interesting, even sensual.
Unlike the rest of her, Kendra's hair is oddly short. Longest at the back, at its lengthiest point, it barely reaches the base of her neck and is, at average, ear length. Colored a dull dark brown, it's not a particularly unusual head of hair and tends to be one of her understated features. Fortunately for her. As a wolf, her fur matches the shade of brown of her hair, fading to a dark almost blackish brown over her face and underside. It would take only careful observation to recognize the shade of brown, if not for the fact that she tends to draw attention away from her boring locks. Her eyes- ice blue in color, like a husky's, seem to do the job for her, and most people find themselves captivated by this feature rather than her other more recognizable ones. In wolf form, her eyes turn to an orangey yellow instead to help hide her identity between forms. Bit of a family creed.
Her clothes are somewhat plain in design but not usually in color. A simple t-shirt will usually do, occasionally with a sleeveless tank stretched over top of it, and a pair of track pants or shorts depending on the weather. Her wardrobe is full of athletic/sporty types of attire, so she wears lots of sweatpants and short sleeved shirts, all of which tend to be loose fitted and comfortable- breathable, hiding her slender form somewhat. She prefers it this way. Being a tomboy, she prefers baggier clothes. Her shaggy hair is held up and out of her face by a bandanna of varying type, which she wraps around her head like a sweatband. It essentially serves the same purpose, but bandannas are cheaper to buy than sweatbands and come in a wider variety of designs and colors. Her ears are each pierced once, usually decorated by hanging silver crosses, which match the chain and cross that she wears around her neck.
Her face is scarred by past fights between family members. Born a werewolf, she and her parents in particular got into some sometimes beastly scuffles. The acid in their claws burned her flesh, turning the scars black over time, so many observers think they are tattoos, and Kendra will often lie and pretend that they are. The most obvious ones are on her face- one perfectly vertical slash over each eye, which has unfortunately messed up her eyesight and is why she does not see well at night. She's also somewhat far sighted and tends to wear glasses to read. More black scars can be found down her back and across her chest, but these are difficult to see on a regular basis, always hidden by her clothing. The scars are less obvious in her wolf forms, where her long shaggy fur obscures their shape and her dark coloring hides their deep shade.

Habits »»
»» Unbashful about her body (being a werewolf means she often ends up naked for extensive periods of time after shifting, so it's desensitized her to the sight of the naked form) she has a habit of walking around her apartment nude after showers, and often sleeps without a shirt on. Though this typically doesn't bother anyone, her lack of concern of other people means she rarely bothers to put any additional clothes on should a neighbor knock on her door...
»» She likes to talk during movies and tv shows. In general, she's a pretty conversational person who never passes up the opportunity to add two sarcastic cents to a conversation, almost always in the interest of humor. But, funny as she can be, her tendency to talk a lot tends to annoy those around her, during movies in particular. She tends to spoil things if she's seen it already.
Phobias »»
»» Needles. Kendra would never tell anyone, of course, but she is honestly Aichmophobic, meaning that she has an irrational fear of anything related to or simulating needles. This includes injections and IV's of any sort, tattoos, and even splinters or beestings. She cannot stand to watch things involving needles either and will always conveniently drop something find something else to look at during any scenes in her favorite movies involving them. She has a particular aversion to "eye scream" scenes, in which needles and eyeballs meet in unpleasant ways.
»» Sharks are Kendra's other major fear, but this is more of a rational fear than a legit phobia or anything. Sharks in a frenzied or feeding state are, in her own words, almost identical to an enraged werewolf. Though Kendra does not mind being a werewolf at all, she is painfully aware of the dangers her species can pose to loved ones and is extremely cautious about revealing it to those closed to her. In the same train of thought, she is also extremely cautious about loved ones interacting with sharks of any type, as they remind her too much of what she and her kind can do to people. So she has a tendency to be jumpy and a little over sensitive when around sharks or watching tv about sharks, and simply has a very negative opinion of them. She avoids swimming at beaches for this reason and tends to hug the shoreline.
Overall Personality »»
Kendra can come off as a completely different person depending on who she is talking to. Though she's not terribly well educated and is actually something of a dunderhead in terms of overall knowledge, she can be quite clever when it comes to social situations and decisions about her mannerisms. She has the tendency to tell people what they want to hear, rather than saying what is really on her mind, usually in the interest of getting what she wants. So, with people who have something of interest to her- be it a skill she wants to learn, a personality trait she'd like to take advantage of, or (in the case of most other women) simply tickle her fancy, she can be very charming, even a little persuasive if need be. Words are her greatest weapon, though it also helps that, in general, she's a pretty likeable person- good humored and witty, with a sarcastic sense of humor.
However, if Kendra is approached by someone she has no interest in, she can be quite the opposite. Though clever and good humored, her fatal flaw is stubbornness, which can be coupled with a conceited desire to ignore or put down anyone trying too hard to get her attention. She can be terribly harsh, caustic even, to anyone who bothers her with what she would consider a pointless reason, particularly if they are distracting her from something else that she is doing. She's not the best multi-tasker and often finds her thoughts completely derailed when interrupted. As such, she hates interruption in all of its forms- she's crabby if awoken from naps, she often stubbornly refuses to do much of anything during a meal or a favorite tv show, and, if this button is pushed too far, turns out to have quite a nasty temper, as werewolves often do. Patience is not one of her virtues, and its an important thing to keep in mind. She has a tendency to hold nasty grudges against people who cross her. Friends can become enemies if the wrong subject is pushed with her, though she does tend to force herself to be a little more lenient with those select few people whom have something that she desires in one way or another.

History »»
Kendra was raised in a relatively dysfunctional family unit, unfortunately for her. The first of two twins, she and her identical twin sister had it rough trying to keep up with their overachieving older brother, whom was many many years older than they were. Old enough to take human form, he and their father spent vast amounts of time in the city near to their den and packlands, leaving Kendra and Alex to pretty much fend for themselves much of the day. Mother was around, but usually spent her time hunting for dinner, chasing away intruders, and maintaining the land in various ways.
Fortunately, what this did do was allow Kendra and Alex to form one of those twin bonds that they believed would last forever. Finishing each other's sentences, they thought along the same lines, did the same general things when faced with problems, and had the same general style. But as they aged, the twins grew apart from one another, slowly but surely, almost against their own wills. Alex was always the more observant and intelligent twin while Kendra was more active, energetic and very impulsive. By the time they were teenagers, they were noticeably different people- still close, but Kendra had come into her own identity as a tomboy, while Alex stayed a little more traditional in terms of appearance. She wore her hair longer than Kendra, who cut hers short almost the moment she had a full head of it, and had finer taste in clothes.
So when their father enrolled them in the local middle school, hoping to get them slowly integrated into human society, it wasn't terribly surprising when Alex was trapped in a bathroom and sexually assaulted by one of her teachers. Though they were both considered attractive people, Kendra was too loud, boisterous and combative to come off as a target. She reacted to stress with anger, but Alex was quieter, more considerate when making decisions than her more impulsive sister, making her a much easier target. So Kendra was never attacked by anyone, and actually enjoyed middle school. She found that her powers are a werewolf gave her a lot of sway over even the most powerful students, and she was a relatively popular individual. She was great at sports, constantly beat the guys at eating contests and other such things, and was notorious for being able to tell things about people without being told (she would use her sense of smell to guess people's breakfast and what not).
But this fell apart somewhat when Kendra found out about Alex's assault. Though they'd finished school and were pulled out again (so that no one would notice that they didn't age as children), it still bothered Kendra significantly. She hadn't noticed it. So wrapped up in her own popularity, she hadn't noticed her sister become more withdrawn, quieter, almost hiding herself away in the library all of the time. And, though she felt kind of guilty, her guilt turned to anger toward the teacher that did it. This anger was never resolved, and it drove a wedge between Kendra and the rest of her family.
Alex had a hard time telling her family about what had happened, though they seemed to figure it out eventually (probably could smell it on her). Their reaction was far from satisfactory. Father and brother seemed indifferent, almost happy for her because attractive women willing to have **x and demean themselves often go far in the work place... if you see what is being implied here. So they almost encouraged it, father Dwight more so than brother Wayne. Wayne was a schmoozer and simply agreed to everything his father did, like some sort of mindless robot. They blamed Alex for the assault in utterly ridiculous ways, talking her down and treating her like she was some sort of h*e, destined for a life on a stripper pole, and Kendra was not having it. She and her father fought constantly well into her high school years. There seemed to be no moments of peace when everyone was together in the same place. Kendra's hatred for her father evolved into a very short temper and a tendency toward angry and violent behavior (ironically enough, it seemed to be a trait she inherited from him) and, numerous times, their disputes went from loud discussions to flat out fist fights with claws. Probably not the smartest idea on Kendra's part. Her father was a tall, well built man, and an even larger, stronger werewolf. She only once won any of their boughts of violence, and that was because her attack caught him by surprise, allowing her to tear his ear off. That marked the end of any semblance of a healthy relationship between them.
All of the fighting drew Alex further and further away from the almost crazy, combative, and very moody teenage Kendra. But a complete family meltdown was avoided by one thing and one thing only- the death of both parents. Killed in a car crash after a date night on the town, it came as almost a relief to the two twins. Though Kendra's anger still remained quite strong, there was no longer the constant stress of her father bearing down on her or her sister. Better yet, brother Wayne was the one to inherit the family business, so the girls didn't even have to deal with the business repercussions.
With the alpha male of their "pack" gone, and Wayne being a pathetic excuse for an alpha, they had to relocate almost immediately as other packs began to encroach upon their territory and safety. Kendra, of course, had been more than willing to fight, but she was dragged away with teeth gnashing by her siblings, and they all ran off to Liba to set up a new office for AstroDog, a software company that designs apps and programs and things for cellphones. Kendra and Alex were never really involved in all of that. Instead, they finished high school somewhat lazily. Alex met a boy who treats her like garbage and refused to let Kendra chase him away as she had their father, and made a point of keeping her distance from her twin. That was almost 25 years ago.
Kendra and Alex have not seen each other face to face in about 5 years. Alex is planning on marrying Keith, her deadbeat boyfriend (whom is a werewolf like them), despite having been cheated on six different times in the past. Kendra still hates his guts, but has stopped trying to intervene, dropping much of her contact with her once beloved sister. Alex recently tried to re-establish contact, but it came as more of an insult to her sister. Not only did Alex forget that she and Kendra share the same birthday, she also bought a gift that Kendra hated- a cat. Kendra tolerates the animal in a pathetic attempt to seem receptive toward this attempt at communication, but honestly... what kind of sister forgets that her own twin has always hated cats?
The two live in completely different parts of town. Kendra lives in the apartments, while Alex shares a house with Keith and his ex-wife and children. Wayne lives on the grounds of the AstroDog headquarters.
