Asher Nick Heathcliff
Age »» Sixteen
Gender »» Male
Species »» Test Subject
Sexuality »» Pansexual
Occupation »» Test Subject
Face Claim »» Rin Okumura - Blue Exorcist
Powers »»
After being infused with Tremon DNA, Asher noticed that he had developed powers. He has mild telekinetic abilities, can float to certain extents, and can turn near-invisible, but, most importantly and abnormally, he can, in fact, create flames. Even more so, his flames are blue. Don't misunderstand, he isn't a full Tremon. He figures something may have went wrong with his infusion, causing him to combust in flames with the color of ice whenever angered. They're harmless, though. They only serve the purpose of intimidation.
But because Asher is a religious person, he refuses to use these powers. Instead, he uses a sword to fight for his truth. He didn't have any particular special training, and he doesn't have any special 'path' or 'style'. He uses a combination of sword play with parkour to outmaneuver and defeat his opponents.
Appearance »»
Originally, Asher had black hair, a nice tan, and rounded ears. Not anymore, though. After being infused with Tremon DNA, his hair color changed to a dark blue. His tan retreated until he was fairly pale, and his ears pointed, making him look a bit like an elf. His hair had begun to grow faster as well. He often has to shave and get hair cuts. Outside of these singularities, though, he's a fairly normal boy.
Asher has blue eyes that are often hidden by his quickly growing shaggy hair. Sometimes to read, he has to clip his hair up so it doesn't get in the way. His face is rather angular with a sharp nose and chin, accented by his pointed ears. He is fairly tall with broad shoulders and muscles that he acquired after being infused.

Overall Personality »»
As a person, Asher is fairly decent and ethical. He endeavors to be a gentleman, despite his demon tendencies. Most times he fails, but through his one year of being held in Scarlet Rose Academy, he has mastered politeness in the presence of a lady. He is a simple-minded creature with a one track mind who will often daydream. Most others could call him naive and stupid, but Asher prefers to call it 'following one's heart and virtues'. As a result of trying to suppress his demonic urges, he will often have outbursts of sudden rage that will last an hour or so. In that time, he will usually force himself into solitary confinement. Past all of these, Asher is a good kid to the core. Before his infusion, he was an extremely sweet boy. But that doesn't matter anymore, Asher's demon blood tells him. What's in the past is in the past.
Things aren't so easy in Asherville, though. Often times, he is prone to hurricanes called rage and tornadoes called mischief. These two traits are what he calls skeletons in his closet, and he means the half-rotted kind with snakes and rats and bugs crawling all through it. Though he tries his hardest, being infused with demon DNA has considerably changed his personality from an innocent boy into a hardened demon. He will get urges to start a fight or cause a serious misunderstanding or just plain kill someone. Also, he is a bit socially backwards. The mix of demon and kindness in his system isn't very good for him, causing him to be a bit awkward in times. This will include a harsh bluntness in speech, taking jokes literally, a lack of self-control, and many other things.
Asher is a religious person, though. He knows what is right and what is wrong, although his body doesn't often agree. He resolves to do unto others as he would have them do unto him. He doesn't enjoy being punched in the face, so he tries not to punch others in the face. He believes that people should live soley for people and their deity. He strives to do this. He prays daily, accepting all things good or bad, and makes sure to keep a positive outlook on life. He is particularly cooperative about his fate in Scarlet Rose Academy. If God felt that he should be here, then Asher was going to stay here. For this reason, he sides with Miss Cabot, very unlike a demon. He sees the only right road with Miss Cabot and sees the rebels as those trying to foil her plan to create a peace-filled world. He is considered one of better test subjects. He complies to the tests without hesitance and is obedient to a T.

History »»
Before everything. Before the experiments. Before the transformation. Before his world crumbled, Asher was an orphan. As cliche as it sounds, he was left on the doorstep of a church. He was found and put into the church orphanage. Growing up in a church, he became attached to the idea of God. Of something bigger controlling everything. And, most importantly, of something he and others would someday have to answer to. As a young boy, he had his share of fights and arguments, and the thought that quelled him afterward was "They're gonna get it in hell..."
Asher's sense of God became deluded in his early childhood years. He took God to be a malevolent force that would harshly punish each and every sin rather than the loving spirit He was supposed to be. To escape punishment, he made sure he always did what was right, but he was often wrong about what things were right. Such as the time he beat up a gang of kids for mistreating and abusing a dog. That was the first time he had taken justice into his own hands. It wasn't the last. He figured himself to be some angel sent from God. His second-in-command even.
The orphanage wasn't quite getting enough funding, though. When Asher was fifteen, the church closed down and the orphans were to be moved to a different orphanage. In the transition, he 'mysteriously' enrolled in Scarlet Rose Academy. It was evident to Asher what his destiny was after the first experiment. He believes that this is God's way of pushing him up through the ranks so he could create a peaceful world.
Through all the experiments and hardships, he kept an optimistic stand. Asher was a model test subject. At least, he tried to be. With the demon DNA, he tended to wreak havoc. He often found himself wishing harm on those who tortured him, but he eventually jumped out of that phase. With his deluded sense of justice, will Asher fulfill with 'God' has told him to do? Or maybe the better question is: Is Asher's sense of justice deluded at all?
