[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 140px;] Anonymous 5 2 4 not the best start ^^;; | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 290px; background-image: url(http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h424/Shade066/Random/abg047.png);] Renee smiled as she set the painting down onto the table. She was proud of her art; it wasn’t very good, but she thought it was, so she happily continued to work on it. The young girl had left it here overnight so that it may dry. Today she was doing a second layer of paint to make it look better. This painting of hers portrayed a sunset on the beach how she had remembered it; and right now she was just about to start going over the yellow of the sun. Typically, it was in the center of the picture, just above the dark blue water. She wasn’t knowledgeable in the arts enough to have observed that water has a reflection; so her ocean was a deep, plain blue. That was okay; she didn’t notice that mistake so she simply began working again like nothing was wrong.
Standing up, Renee left her seat and walked over towards the paint centre to retrieve some yellow. It would take a few minutes because there was usually some kind of small line up there; but that was no worry. After completing her epic journey, she went to sit back down at her spot and begin painting. As she did this, she couldn’t help but to begin thinking a little bit. This was her first year taking part in Liba’s mysterious match-up event.. She was a little nervous. What if she never finds him... or her? What if it was someone gross??? Or loud? Oh no, oh no.. There were so many worries rushing through the young girl’s mind, she just couldn’t help but to set her paint brush aside for a few minutes to give herself time to think. She stared down at the floor. ”What if they don’t like me?” She was afraid of rejection with this sort of thing. It was like a blind date; strangers should have no right to judge a person, but on a blind date it was just... different.
What the poor little girl wasn’t realizing was that it was just Valentines. She was only eight years old; there would certainly be plenty more in her future. Eight year olds weren’t expected to fall in love, were they? It was more than likely that if Renee was lucky enough to find her Valentine; they would just become friends. She hadn’t fully realized this, but she had her whole life ahead of her, so she was still freaking out a little bit. She looked up from the floor and glanced around the room. Everyone seemed to still be doing their own thing... How nice. She gave a soft smile and decided to pretend that this whole thing wasn’t bothering her. It still was, but she didn’t want anyone to stare at her... I mean, who comes to the art room to stare down at the floor? It was funny.. So, she picked up the art brush again and continued along with re-painting her sun. Ah yes, this second layer would surely make this whole thing a lot prettier... |

Since coming here, Chase hadn't been up to much. Just teaching martial arts, since he was already trained in combat as an ex-cop. This place didn't really seem that threatening to the messes he dealt with out on the street. He sort of missed saving the world everyday, but he could deal with teaching martial arts here, and hoping his students would be willing participants in fighting for Liba's freedom. Yeah, he was a very patriotic kind of guy. All for his country and what not. The perfect personality for a soldier. Or for the instructor of other soldiers. The stereotype about such people was that they were very strict, and mean. That was a joke if you tried to say that about Chase...
The man was a very mellow person. It took a lot to get him up a tree, figuratively of course. Anyways, when Chase opened his mail and saw this letter instructing him to go to the Art Room with some secret code, he was a bit surprised. He never thought that they did this here at the SRA as well. He thought it was something only the citizens did, but it wasn't like he was too busy to show up or anything which he once might have been. So he took a little time off, and followed the instructions. He expected someone out of age range, because seriously, here in the SRA it was like all the test subjects were between 8 and 20 and all the staff were over a hundred since most of them were supernatural freaks. Well at least the guards were anyways. He hadn't been here long, but he figured that much out at least.
Chase entered the Art Room, hit with a wave of scent. Paint, markers, glue, it would be easy to get high in this room, which concerned him since there wasn't much in the way of supervision for this area. He looked around, seeing test subjects. Not a surprise, this the SRA was full of them. There were some middle school aged girls in a corner coloring, and a boy or two in various places. He spotted a head of golden-blonde hair. He was naturally attracted to anything bright or shiny now that he was a bit of a bird brain thanks to the scientists here. Just that different shade of hair attracted his attention, and the ridiculously tall man found himself walking off in that direction. He had his letter folded up in his pocket, and was still thinking about it. Since he didn't know who is match was, he would just have to walk around and ask about it. This was the designated area after all...
It wouldn't hurt to start out asking this little girl. So he approached her calmly, a friendly smile on his face. His very attractive face. fufufu just had to gloat about it xD He stopped, and looked down at the little girl and her picture. She was quite adorable now that he could see more than the bright color of her hair. "Hello, would tenderness happen to have any meaning to you?" He cut straight to the point, pulling out a letter with fancy writing on it and showing it to the little girl. It was sort of odd that he would go to the youngest person in the room first when looking for his blind date, but he wasn't really thinking too hard about it. He was used to being a cop and having everyone feel perfectly safe with him around. Well, safe or about to get arrested. Either way, he didn't see a reason for him to be worrying anybody, unless he actually thought about what he was up to. Plus, he looked more like an angel then a pedophile. Even if his wings were the color black, just having wings apparently made him angelic to some people.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 140px;] Skylar "Chase" Thompson 4 3 1 I'm so sorry, I'll try to expand ^-^;; | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 290px; background-image: url(http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h424/Shade066/Random/abg047.png);] The young girl continued to repaint the sun on her picture. She accidentally got a smudge of yellow into the ocean; but she really wasn’t worried about it. She was eventually going to go over the ocean as well, so that would surely fix her small mistake. She hadn’t even noticed it, but apparently someone was approaching her. The girl heard a soft voice beside her and jumped slightly. It startled her; but she looked up.. waay up to see a young looking man with a nice face. He seemed friendly enough and he had the most gorgeous wings. ”Is he an angel?” she thought to herself.”Your wings are beautiful.” she spoke in awe staring at them and this man who had said.. something about... something.
Renee shook her head and snapped herself out of it. Now wasn’t the time to day dream about angels despite how beautiful this one was. As he pulled out his letter to show her; Renee reached into her own pocket and pulled out another letter that was nearly identical. They both said “Tenderness” This man was her date?? He was a little old for her, wasn’t he? But his appearance was very pleasing to the eyes, and his voice was like a love song. How adorable; Renee’s first crush. ”...S-so...” She was a little shy. She wasn’t expecting to actually find the person; let alone have them approach her in such a friendly way. She didn’t know what to say as she allowed a light blush onto her adorable face.
”..W-what’s your name? At least she was finally able to spit something out that actually sounded a little bit like English. She didn’t want to be impolite to the man, so she had set her paint brush down and had turned to him this whole time. Now that she was able to get a good look at him; she couldn’t help but to wonder what was on the inside. Well, not literally “inside” in terms of organs and muscles and whatnot; which was likely something that her father and uncle would be wondering... Gross. However, what Renee was curious about was what kind of person this man may have been. Would he accept the fact that they got the same love code, or would he just ditch her for someone more so around his age? ...She would understand perfectly if he did; but hopefully he wouldn’t do it in a cruel way since Renee definitely didn’t need that sort of self-esteem destruction. |
