Kellen ran though the forest, His legs going over the ground in a graceful motion as he ran. It seemed almost like the world moved under his as he stood still, except for the fact that his legs were moving. Kellen did have grace. But of course, he was heading somewhere. And for a reason. The high alpha didn't abandon his troops for no reason. Course, that reason might be purely selfish and stupid, but for gods sake, He needed a day off, and so did the troops. He called for a day of rest for his troops. Plus, who ever sent the letter did know a lot, and he was damn curious to see who this person would have matched him up with. It was interesting.
Kellen raced over the sand, his form that of human for the moment as he headed for the cave. the full moon shone above his head as sand was kicked up in his wake. He was going a lot faster then any human could go, and almost to speed werewolf states, but still, not close to them. Kellen smirked, seeing the full moon above his designation and felt his legs give more to get there sooner. He wanted to be the firt there for some reason. Kellen knew it was childish, but it was what made him him.
As the sand flew behind him, Kellen slowed down, not coming to a screeching halt. He had a very bad and embarrassing experience with stopping suddenly in sand. His parents never let him live it down. Kellen paused, his thoughts on his parents, the thought that even after 60 years, Kylar had never meet his grandfather. Kellen laughed, pushing the thought aside and looked inside the cave. No one yet. Kellen looked around, seeing no one, and decided to go farther inside. Would be interesting if nothing else.
He stepped around the rocks easily after he took his shoes off at the entrance of the cave. He liked being bear footed better. Kellen was only wearing a tang top and a pair of jogging pants. He didn't feel like coming armed or dressed overly to the beach at night.
As the cave passed him, Kellen was looking around, seeing the gems on the floor and just lying around. Kellen grabbed one crystal and slipped it into his pocket. Maybe Kai would like it. Or maybe he was just attracted to shiny things. Ether or. Kellen smiled, going farther and found himself in a larger cavern.
"Since when has this been here?" Kellen wondered, looking around with his Superior night vision. The crystals glowed faintly, no where near their full luster but with pride never less. Kellen walked in farther and saw the pile of rocks/gems in the middle. He dodged stalagmites as he walked over, touching one that rose to his height. It was smooth and cold, and true with nature. He was happy that no humans had found this place. They would have wrenched it for sure. Kellen picked up the boulder, it about half his size, with one hand and looked at it. He was a strength wolf after all. Kellen smiled and put it back, and walked away. he should be waiting for his "date" in the front of the cave. He headed back to the entrance, passing a human bone or two on the way. Luckily the sea life and scavengers already picked them clean. he smirked, thinking," survival of the fittest," and walked into the moon light of the beach.

Well when Claire opened that letter, and read it over she had some mixed feelings. It had been the first time in years she even acknowledged it was the season to celebrate love. Was she really ready to move on? She looked at the letter again, and decided that if Cupid thought she was ready, that it was going to be now or never. She didn't think for a moment that this was going to set her up with her new soul mate. No, this was probably just going to be a fun night out. Aqualuna cave... She had been there once with Bella, the younger werewolf took a fancy to the place. The cowgirl was glad that they could take this day off, and she pulled on her cowgirl boots around 9:30.
Claire had recovered well since her injuries, and was now comfortable enough to be able to do this. It was still not a great idea for her to get into any fights, but if she was careful, she wouldn't worry about running into trouble. The cowgirl left the house, her hands softly closing the door behind her. She didn't want to disturb anyone. She had a stereotypical cowgirl hat on, a light colored t-shirt made of thin but sturdy material. Something she would easily be able to work in. Her Wrangler jeans were a given, and of course her cowgirl boots. It seemed like she would really be going for a horse ride, but nope. She was going down into the caves by the Lake. Waiting for some stranger, in the moonlight, acting like a fool really.
Claire ran the whole way to the beach, she didn't hear anyone following, and as far as she could tell she wasn't following in anyone's foot steps. Even if no one showed up, she might just go into the cave and enjoy the view. It wouldn't take long for her to get there, her gift was speed after all. She slowed to a jog as she got closer to the cave, and looked around with her perfected night vision. She could smell that another wolf was here, and soon she figured out who it was. She slowed to a walk, a big grin coming onto her face as she saw Kellen here as well. She waved her hand in the air, trying to get his attention as she approached the opening of the cave. She picked up the pace for the last stretch, and continued to grin.
"Ain't that funny? You get that letter to? Aww shoot..." Her southern drawl trademarking her words. Claire was now laughing a bit. The last person she had expected was Kellen. Then again, why not Kellen? Why couldn't it be him? Her eyes glanced over him, if he wasn't Nancy's mate... Would she consider him more seriously? Well those deep thoughts could be digested later, right now she was about to have a laugh with Kellen. She looked behind him, at the cave. "We fixin' to go in there?" She wouldn't mind enjoying the view in there. It wasn't something new, but on a full moon she was sure that it would soon be lit up to its full midnight glory. They would just have to wait and see.

Kellen looked up from nearly tripping over a rock/stubbing his toe to see Claire. he held back the curses(From his foot, not seeing her of course) and gave a smile back. It had to be her. And here. But........... Kellen guessed that was history. Not for a night such as this. Kellen looked at the sky as Claire closed the distance, and thought," Eros, you have a sick personality."
"Yeah. I already scoped it out," he said, pulling the gem from his pocket and tossed it at Claire. They were a dime a dozen. "Seems to be looking good tonight." Kellen stopped his tongue from continuing, saying "like you." luckily it wasn't noticeable. Kellen pictured Nancy in his mind, wondering how this was going to work. Then Zane came into his mind, and that child, and he frowned, then a slightly evil, but fun, smile appeared on his face. If his wife was with Zane at the moment, his half wolf, why couldn't he just enjoy a night out with Claire?
"Sure. I don't see why we can't go see. I heard that the whole place lights up in on the full moon." Of course the full moon. The time for the werewolf to rise. Kellen could feel that energy that all wolves got on this time of the month in his muscles, wanting to run and hunt and just be a real wolf for the night. But of course, He long mastered those instincts. All werewolves did at sometime.
Kellen offered his hand to help Claire into the cave, a smile on his face. "Need a hand young miss?" He asked, coping her southern accent. Yeah, childish, But Kellen never got to act out and immature, so he was going to enjoy this. Well, he wasn't going to turn into Kage or a toddler, But he was going to have fun. Kellen tried to remember the last time he just relaxed and had fun for a little while. Not counting the time in the barn with Claire, or the few shattered moments with Bella, it was before he fell from his throne. At least back then he was able to take a day off and go out on the town with Nancy and/or the kids.
As the cave walls passed them, Kellen looked at Claire and asked," How is your injury? Can I assume It's healed by the way that you were running over the sand in those cowgirl boots?" Course, Kellen was barefooted still. Out here, cave exploring and on the beach, He liked the feel of sand between his toes, or the smooth rock under his foot. "Have you been here before?" Kellen asked. he had only been here once, and missed the rocks lightning up. Course, He had been with hie girlfriend back then, and didn't even go into the cave. Long story, long time ago. Kellen ducked down as the roof dipped, his large height working against him in this bend of the cave.

Claire caught the gem that was thrown to her, her speedy reflexes making it look pretty easy. Her face showed a smile as she inspecting it, how cute. Claire was the kind of girl that enjoyed earthy things. She nodded and looked around a bit as he said it looked good out tonight. she could completely agree, and then she continued to grin as he agreed to go into the cave with her. Going into the dark cave would be a bit of a thrill, Claire would try not to get too excited. It was a full moon out, and it was already pretty exciting with that just that piece of the puzzle.
The cowgirl smiled and took his hand as he offered it. She laughed at him trying to pull of a southern accent, "Thanks." She didn't take his mimicking of the accent as an insult, copying is the highest form of compliment after all. Now, if he started teasing her about it, he might get some trouble on his hands. Claire had enough of that growing up, and Nancy taught her how to put others in their place when they felt like being jerks.
They entered the cave, passing rocks that could have been there for hundreds of years. In the moonlight there were possibly small creatures scurrying around. Claire tried not to think about that, and as the light from behind them started to fade, she could start to see things out in front of them. Small jems that were embedded in the stone sparkled in the night. It was quite beautiful, but Claire was distracted from all of it a little bit. She was here with Kellen, and her attention couldn't really be completely torn from him. He was leading the way, their hands clasped together in the darkness.
Kellen would start talking, asking about her injury. Claire smiled, "It's doin' a lot better, doc' says I'll be just fine as long as I ain't fixin' to get in any tussles." There she goes again, with that accent of her's. Claire grinned as he asked if she had been here before, "Bella took me down here before. She loves this place." Her grin stayed in place. Claire was very fond of Bella, along with all the other kids she now had the privileged to live with. It was such a relief to have Kai around, and Bella and Kylar, and even Willow. Claire just wished Nancy was around for her pups, it wasn't fair for them to go without a Ma. Claire could do her best to be a good Aunt though, and she got along with Bella just fine. Course, Bella was the one doing most of Claire's nursing of lately, she was a real help.
Claire felt a little sorry for poor Kellen. He had to keep ducking because he was so tall. Claire was about average height for a female, so she didn't have to duck down as much. Finally they got into the main section of the cave, were surrounded by rock formations and such. Claire looked around with a huge grin on her face. The cowgirl exclaimed, "It's so purrty!" The rocks were starting to glow softly, but weren't fully lit yet. If they waited around in here, the rocks would eventually light up and dazzle them. Claire couldn't wait!

Kellen could at least say it was good when they got to the larger cavern. He was no longer crouching and bending over. As much as he liked caves (not), they were way to low (personal experience). Kellen stretched up, hatting how his back had crouched over in the cave. Kellen grinned. He was getting old, or just the stress was getting to him. He did feel older when he was stressed. Moving on.
Kellen looked around the cavern, seeing all the gems and crystals sparking as the moon started to get in position. He had heard that it hit you like a wave when the moon finally got into position. Kellen Nodded in agreement at Claire's statement."Honestly, I have never seen it. When the moon gets into position. This is my first time here." Kellen smirked, admitting it.
"Wait, when had Bella been down here?" Kellen asked, turning to Claire. Luckily, that was when the Moon finally moved into the right spot.
It was true. It moved in a wave. The light Moved from one side of the cavern to another in a noticeable wave of sparkles and illumination. Kellen stood stunned as he the light moved to them and overwhelmed them. He shielded his eyes for a second, then uncovered to see the whole room was in majestic glowing beauty. Kellen smirked, his hand still in Claire's and one one word escaped his lips. "Wow."
Kellen let go of Claire's hand talking a step in farther and bent down, picking up a small gem off the floor. It was glowing like the rest of them. "Wow. I never thought i would see something like this." Kellen got up, smirking and looking around like his eyes were scanning the scene, getting it to memory. He turned around, and it seemed as if one hundred years slipped off him. His skin seemed to clear up from the toughness and his hair lost the gray. Course, that was just because he was at peace a little. Kellen's gaze rested as he looked at Claire, who seemed to sparkle with the background crystals. He smiled at her, his smiled seemed to take years off him. Kellen shook his head, and looked up. The moon's intensity was magnifies in here so much, No wonder her was feeling so energized. But was it so bad? Nope. Kellen gave a short laugh and tossed his head back, Giving a long howl. His hair wiped back at his voice echoed through out the cavern.
Kellen stopped, his voice coming out in a pant almost, and said," Gods, this place is amazing." He was looking at Claire, but even though his voice didn't say it, his eyes said," You to."

Claire smiled when he said that had never seen it light up perfectly before. She nodded, "We're lucky then. The moon is fixin' to put on a show." She grinned, she was the one who got to be with Kellen for his first ride on this adventure. It was pretty exciting. He asked about when Bella had been done here and she shrugged, "That little lady loves this beach. It don't surprise me she found this place." She said simply. Maybe they could ask her later?
The moon seemed to hit the perfect spot right then and there. The light hit the center first, and bounced off every gem's surface. A rainbow of color and light hit the cave like a wave. It was beautiful, Claire managed to handle it without covering her eyes. She heard him say something, wow, he was right. This was just as beautiful as the first time Claire had been here. It was simply amazing!
Kelen let go of Claire's hand and walked over to pick up a gem. Claire watched him in the colorful moonlight. It was pretty amazing, she could just watch the stress melt off of him. Kellen started talking, stating he had never thought he would see something like this. Claire grinned and nodded, then she stepped away from where she had been standing. She wanted to touch the stones, to feel their cool dampness. She walked over to the wall, and placed her hand on it. The gems were all so smooth, but the rest very rough. It was a great combination of texture, it felt soothing against her hand. She looked at Kellen with a smile still plastered to her face. He smiled back, and she could see him relaxing more and more. She couldn't be more thankful to cupid for this, it was just what Kellen had needed.
When Kellen started howling, Claire joined in out of old habit. It felt amazing, howling at the moon like this. It echoed off the cave walls and seemed to add the voices of ancients into their howls, multiplying it and making it a thunderous, hair raising noise. It was just amazing! Soon they were both out of breath and had to stop howling for a bit. Claire smiled at him when he said this place was amazing, but the look he was giving her made her blush a bit. "It sure is. I just wish it could last longer." She said, looking around and taking in the sight before it faded.

Kellen took a step back, looking at the light show from a different angel. He always did see everything from every angle. One of his best strengths of his leadership. Kellen smiled, turning, and saw something that interested him. Kellen took another step back, and then jumped.
Kellen rose ten, twenty feet into the air and grabbed the rim of the hole that the moon light streamed through. He pulled himself up easily, and grabbed what he saw. "What the?" He thought, picking up a shirt. It was ripped up, and had hair all over it. It smelled like his son. "Oh dear gods. Kylar, I am going to kill you," He thought, amused and let go of the edge, dropping down and landing on the floor.
"Seems like all my kids beat me here." He said, showing the shirt. It was amusing to think that, but kind of creepy in a sense. Kellen laughed through, wadding up the shirt and putting it in his pocket. He wasn't just going to leave it on the ground. He was, how did that humans put it? Green, he thought. ^-^
Kellen took one last look around as the lights faded to their dimmed and darkened state, and said," Now, That i was glad i was able to share this with you. And....... Do you hear water?" Kellen looked down, noticing the floor was wet. Kellen sniffed, smelling salt. "Does this cave have a habit of..... filling up when the tide comes in? Cause, the full moon means high tide." (I LOOKED IT UP, IT DOES HAPPEN! HA) Kellen noticed the water rising at his feet and was glad he had no shoes on. Course, when his sandals floated out of the cavern entrance,He knew they were in trouble. Well, Kellen could swim. Kellen cursed, Knowing he was going to get wet. It was near impossible to jump up and out now, with the water. The smooth floor would be way to slippery now. "You can swim right?" He joked, making his way to the entrance. Best get the heck out before the water filled the cave.
Finished Notes;; OK, I am done since i have no time to finish post. My teach is giving me funny looks.

Claire watched as Kellen the show off jumped up tot the whole in the ceiling and hanged there for a moment. She had no idea what hew as doing, but figured it wouldn't be anything bad. Her eyes caught a glimpse of some sort of fabric, and he dropped to the floor safely. She saw that it was a shirt... a familiar one... with a familiar shirt... and it most defiantly belonged to a familiar person. Kylar... "I wonder what he was doin' way down here?" She was just thinking out loud in her silly accent.
Claire smiled at Kellen, but quickly her smile vanished as she heard water. She looked at her feet, and saw that water was rising. They had better get out before they get flooded in. "Yeah, it fills unpredictably." Her eyebrows went up as she realized that they really needed to get out of there. She took Kellen's hand, "I shouldn't be swimming, but I can run just fine." She pulled on his hand a bit, and then started at a jog out of the cavern, keeping low so she wouldn't bump her head on anything. The water was past her ankles by the time they got out into the open air. It was a bit of a relief to no longer have thousands of pounds of rock above your head.
Claire started to walk away from the water, going to higher ground. She climbed on top of some rocks, and looked down at the water. It was sparkling in the moonlight... "That's a pretty sight." she said almost to herself... Kellen should have been by her side though. OR at least on his way. Knowing that cave he probably had problems getting out with his height problem.

"Wait, You can't swim?" Kellen smiled, almost laughing at that fact, But then karma hit him first. He banged his head on the ceiling, which caused him to bit his tongue, and which lead to him slip. Which caused a splash. Kellen pushed himself out of the water, Spitting salt water out. "Blech. Curse my height." Kellen watched Claire moving away and out of the cave and onto the beach as he saw his other sandal come floating down the water. He grabbed it, putting it in his other hand with the other one and started to get up, wadding his way out of the now knee deep water. "Gods Claire. Leave me here to drowned." He smirked after it and forced his legs to move. It was easy using his strength.
Kellen walked through the water and onto the sand of the beach. He shook, water flying off his in waves at the force of his shakes. In all honesty, it would have only took two, but for the hell he took about four to five.
"This is what I get for hanging with speed wolves," Kellen thought, looking at Claire already chilling up on higher ground. He dropped his sandals where he thought was high enough ground, and jumped. Sand scattered everywhere from the force of his legs as he landed right next to Claire. Only if the ground wasn't wet. He slipped for a second, But then straightened and made it look like he was plopping right next to her. Cool as ever.
"Wait, so you can't swim?" he asked, looking at her. It was interesting. Usually wolves could usually swim. A little strange to say the least. Kellen smirked, looking at Claire and said," So that is why you never go swimming with anyone." Yeah, joking, but that was all he had right now. OK, serious for a second. "Is the water that bad for you?" He could read and smell the fear of it off her. As easy as he could taste his own emotions.

Claire knew how to swim. She was an okay swimmer, not the best. However, she still sort of had a hole through her torso, so going into the ocean waters was a bad idea. Sure, she could run and walk, but that wasn't pouring salt water on her wounds. Claire ignored him though because she was busy getting out of the cave. She found it amusing that Kellen was having a hard time with the ceiling. Soon she would be out of the cave and safely up high on a comfortable rock. Kellen followed, and almost slipped and fell. He managed to keep looking cool by making it look like he had meant to land the way he did. He questioned her swimming abilities and she smirked and rolled her eyes.
"Of course I can. I got a bit of a hole in my torso, and I'd like to keep the salt water out of it. I'd probably attract every shark for miles." She really had a point there. Kellen was such a man. Men were sometimes so unobservant and silly. Claire yawned, laying back against the rock and looking up at the night sky. "I reckon the kids are in bed, or sneaking out by now." She smirked at that thought. Of course her sweet daughter was probably going to sneak out for Valentine's some time this February. Claire couldn't see Bella going anywhere though, at least they didn't have to worry about that kid.
