The shower was a great place to think. You read that correctly, Alzeid always found the shower to be a great place to think. For the majority of his time, he was alone in there, so that gave him a decent amount of time to think to himself. It wasn’t as if he always thought of anything in particular, just anything that could really cross through his mind at the time. Usually it drifted towards work and what was to be done next, but that was probably because Alzeid was a bit of a workaholic. Can you really blame him? Was there really much else for him to be doing at the Scarlet Rose Academy? He stood motionless and just allowed the water to run through his hair and over his body. It was still burning him, and it really hurt. He didn’t like the feeling at all, but that was just the price he had to pay for being cold blooded. Oh well, he was certain that it was worth it on some level.
He winced slightly and stepped away from the current to allow himself some relief of the pain. There had to be a better way than this; but was there really anything like that in existence? Giving a soft sigh, he stepped forwards again and allowed the water to continue showering over him. Things were quiet and peaceful for the moment, and it felt nice. Painful; but nice. His eyes would drift over towards his left shoulder; the shoulder he had injected the substance into late last night. Alzeid felt his eyes widen slightly when he came to realize that something was terribly wrong. The spot where the needle was injected had swelled a little bit; but the more concerning part was that the area was slightly red, yet his veins showed through perfectly well. It was a little horrifying, especially since Alzeid had seen this before on someone else. ”This is worrisome.” he thought to himself. Now, he couldn’t help but to wonder what exactly that was he had injected into himself. ”Perhaps this wasn’t my error..” He continued to think. ”The chemists that make a few of these substances have been known to mislabel a vial every now and then.” Ah yes, surely this couldn’t have been the substance he would use on himself intentionally; he knew he was smarter than to make himself sick like this.
Alzeid wasn’t in there for too much longer. His purpose wasn’t to get clean, it was simply to get a bit warmer, and now that he had accomplished that, he could feel free to step out. It wasn’t long afterwards that he dried off a bit and put his clothes back on. His left shoulder still concerned him, but he was sure he could treat it himself; yet that meant he would need to get back to his lab before this got serious. Yet, how would he break this to Hana? ...Was there any time to care about her personal feelings on this issue? Not really; but, she was a guest, so there had to be some level of formality besides flat out; bluntly telling her to go back to Peter and let him handle this on his own, since Alzeid was more than certain that Hana would find his current shoulder issue to be rather disgusting. To be honest, he was almost disgusted himself. The key word in that sentence was ‘almost’ because he didn’t mind too much, it was a little disgusting, but for the most part it intrigued him. If he should die of someone else’s mistake, he was sure that someone would suffer for it, which would be a hilarious way to go.
Not too long after getting dressed, Alzeid stepped out from the washroom and headed back down the small hallway. Hana wasn’t in the living room, so he had assumed that she was still in the kitchen. There were no screams of fear yet, meaning that she didn’t look into the freezer while he was in the shower; which was a good thing. His movements were back to a more normal pace; no longer was he suffering from any extreme slow-ness. Of course, words cannot describe how grateful he was for that, especially since it even annoyed him to be unable to move quickly. In any case, it wasn’t long before Alzeid stepped into the kitchen area to join Hana who seemed to be enjoying a cup of hot chocolate. Before he could even notice the cup she had made for him, he couldn’t help but to raise an eyebrow ever so slightly at her arm. ”..What happened to your arm?” He asked, noting all the strange little doodles... Is this what she did when she was bored? Perhaps he shouldn’t judge that; he fed snakes and had conversations with them when he was bored; so it seemed they were equally as weird...

Hana's arm was probably a curious sight. She had drawn a cherry tree. The tree branches were old, and lined as if they had wrinkles. The blossoms were just budding and sort of looked like little knobs on the wood. It looked pretty dumb, sorta like a bunch of crooked lines in some sort of branch like pattern. She hadn't payed much attention to it after she got distracted by the hot chocolate. She was a cruddy artist, and she knew it. She just laughed when people pointed it out. It was just a habit she had since she was young, doodling Asian stuff. Or anything she associated with Japan anyways. It had probably spurred from curiosity about her mother who she never really knew. From what her father had told her, Hana was half Japanese. She had always been curious about that place, and so all through her life she had wasted her time brushing up on details about that foreign land. Hana looked up at Alzeid in a bit of surprise. She hadn't heard him coming. Or perhaps she had, but simply didn't pay attention because she was so zoned out in her own thoughts of panic. Her eyebrows went up slightly as if he had just been speaking in tongues but then she mouthed the word "oh." Well she didn't know if that was actually a word but it was her reaction. She glanced down at her arm, and studied it for a moment as if she had randomly woken up with it. She then thought about his words and processed it. Yeah it seemed it took her a moment to reboot from shutting down in moron town for a game of tag with her friends Panic, Boredom, and Punishment. "This? It's just ink, I guess I got carried away with some doodling." She lifted it up more to examine it more closely. Hana should have probably been paying more attention when she was actually been inking it on. She had smudged it in a few places and it really looked like an art student was attempting to try abstract for the first time on her arm with a cruddy pen that had been uncooperative. Okay that was harsh critique, but that was how she was with her own art work. She suppressed laughing at her own suck-ish art work. Hana always somehow found her art relaxing to look at. Don' ask why, because she didn't know why, and she would have no answer. yes, she was a little bit strange herself, not anywhere near as strange as Alzeid though, or at least she hoped not. She pryed her jade eyes from it and looked at the doctor. "So... How are you feeling?" Yes, the first part, the so... That was the dumbest thing ever to say. It made her feel like she was an actor who was being forced to play a moronic chick. She was, on the inside, slapping herself. When exactly had she decided she cared so much about what he thought of her again? Was she seriously acting like this was a date and that any of this mattered? Calm down, she told herself. Hana herself didn't think that last part was all that dumb. She actually thought it was an okay question to ask. If she was so bent on making sure he was going to live, then asking how he was feeling was a good way of just checking on his well being. So in her own opinion she was asking a good question. She had committed to this cause after all. That sounded sort of like a charity, and she wondered for a moment if her being all worried about him was just an annoyance. Maybe it would be best for her to leave him alone, but honestly she didn't want to, and not because she was feeling guilty about ditching her date. It was sort of petty to be pitying him, but she was. He was probably all alone all the time. She didn't know if it was any better for him to have company, but she knew it had always made her happy to have a friend around when she was feeling sick. he probably didn't realize it now, but she was sure he would appreciate her company later. Hana was telling herself that anyway. Hana had always been a nice person. She really did care about people. Her own pride, and tom-boyish personality just made it difficult to tell. Sure, she was always snapping at people. Sure, she had a tendency to call people names. Sure, she did a lot of things on the spur of the moment because she was mad. The rest of the time though she was pretty cool. A lot of younger patents favored her. Despite being the underdog and the youngest of the family she had developed into a big sister / motherly type of person. Or at least the mother bear sort of person. even though Alzeid was annoying, and scary among other things, if any person was gonna pick a fight with him, she would back him up. Maybe she was capable of being so nice, and so angry, because she had a bigger heart? She also had bigger lungs, so that would help her nag on people. She wasn't exactly thankful for being turned into a test subject, but her wings were indeed pretty. She wasn't really sure what else she would do besides this, it was just how life was now. Nothing to go back to, so why bother? Of course she owed a little bit of that to Alzeid. She couldn't help looking at him, and suppressing a laugh, this guy... She had actually trusted this wacko with her life. Well she hadn't done it consciously but she had expected him to be much less creepy. Not that she had been aware of much the-... Wait a second. Surgery? Hospitals? Paper dresses? Hana's face turned two shades of pink, and then straight up scarlet. She was suddenly extremely embarrassed and almost angry. She shoved her face in her hands and put her elbows, telling manners to go eat her shoelaces. No... No... No.. No... NO! Hana had realized something, which she didn't know how she hadn't realized sooner. If Alzeid had been her doctor, he had seen way more of her already then she ever wanted him to see. In fact he had been cutting her open and who knows what! She wasn't going to say anything, there was no way she was going to remind him so that thoughts would come up in his mind. No that wasn't allowed to happen! She couldn't, this would be a secret. Of course with the kind of reaction she just had displayed suddenly, it was bound to raise questions. Of course her immediate response would be to simply throw up all her walls and guard this secret with her life. Deep breaths Hana, your not the one who should be having breathing problems. Don't give yourself a heart attack. She was trying to think calming thoughts, and they hardly smoothed her feathers. Yes, pun intended!

It was even more curious to see Hana’s reaction time seem to slow down. Had she grown cold blooded while he was gone or something? Or, had she just been out of it? It seemed that she was in the habit of spacing out once in awhile, and to this, Alzeid was nearly tempted to bring his hand up and snap his fingers not far from her face. But, he controlled his urge to do such a thing and awaited a reply from her. The drawing on her arm looked strange. At first glance, he wasn’t entirely sure as to what it was. Maybe it was just abstract? Abstract was always fun; no one had to know what it was; it was simply art, and maybe that’s what Hana had done in her boredom? Well, he only assumed that she had been bored while he was gone, but that assumption may be wrong for all he knew. In any case, once she finally began replying, it was only to learn that she got carried away with doodling, meaning that she probably wasn’t going to confirm nor deny the idea of it being abstract art. Now, Alzeid was curious. He wished to know what it was, but he didn’t want to ask. He liked figuring things out on his own, so despite how creepy this would probably seem to her; Alzeid would reach out and gently take a hold of Hana’s wrist. He would then hold her arm up a bit closer to himself to get a better look at it; turning and flexing her arm slightly to attempt making out what the drawing could have been. ”Is this a Cherry Blossom tree?” He asked, sounding very uncertain, but, at least he attempted a guess before she could tell him what it really was.
Once he would hear her reply as to what it was, he would let go of her wrist and allow it to rest back at her side, or wherever she wished to direct her hand. A little bit of silence was shared between the both of them before Hana had gone on to ask him how he was feeling. ”A little better.” He was still concerned about his shoulder. He didn’t know what he should do with it, but he had a feeling that ignoring it would end him six feet under, and he didn’t wish for that, at least, not quite yet. The person who had been experiencing the same thing had died, so he was just hoping he would be able to stop this before it was too late. Although, from what he recalled the other had lived for a couple days after the injection, so Alzeid probably wasn’t in any kind of a rush, but it was better to get to it sooner than later. He would hate to admit this, but if he was unable to find the cure himself, he may have to go to someone else for any possible solutions, or antidotes.
He finally seemed to acknowledge the cup of hot chocolate Hana had made for him. After he picked it up, he just held it and allowed it to cool down a bit so that he wouldn’t burn himself. But as he was holding it, he decided that he may as well give Hana a display of gratitude. ”...By the way, thank you for making this.” He said, legitimately sounding grateful about it. He had been able to painfully warm up his body with a shower, and now the hot chocolate would help to warm up his insides a bit so that maybe he could go on to finding an antidote. Alzeid still didn’t wish to tell Hana about it, but he found that he may be forced to, eventually; especially if she pressed the matter; and he wouldn’t be surprised if she did, especially the way she had pressed following him to his home even though he practically insisted that he could take care of himself. It was true for the most part, and yet, not always. Whether he liked to admit it or not, this may be one of those situations where he might need to admit that he needs help.
Ignoring those thoughts for a few moments, Alzeid raised his glass and took a sip from the hot chocolate. It was good, and it seemed he had been right about it warming up his insides a bit. It felt odd, although there really wasn’t anything else to expect. He allowed his thoughts to wander a little bit since Hana was being fairly quiet which gave him a little time to think. Yet, speaking of Hana, despite her being quiet for the moment, he still felt like it was nice to have some company. Maybe she was annoying, persistent, determined, weird, and a bit of a dipstick sometimes; she seemed to make up for it in a way. Her characteristics seemed to keep Alzeid entertained and he enjoyed that. He was a bit strange himself. Actually, he was probably the definition of creepy. Look it up in the dictionary, and there you will come across “Dr. Alzeid Levisque” I’m not kidding Of course, he never thought too much of that personally; in fact, he never thought too much of his own personality traits since he never saw the point. Wouldn’t determining your own traits simply make you wish to change yourself into something else? Or, was Alzeid wrong about that? He caught onto quite a bit of his own traits and had not wished to change them; yet that was only mentally and perhaps emotionally; physically he had kept himself busy with his own experimentations.
It was fun to look back a little bit. If he was unable to find an antidote, then surely he would die, so he may as well allow himself to reflect slightly. Yes, he was preparing himself for the worst case scenario. However, his symptoms weren’t bad at all for the moment, so maybe he would be perfectly fine? Maybe it was just a small infection from an unsterilized needle? He wondered how such a thing would happen since his laboratory was always kept clean, yet that didn’t mean a dirty needle couldn’t have snuck its’ way into the clean ones... Right? In any case, he found it funny to think that ten years ago, he wouldn’t have seen any of this coming. At all. At that age, he was a prodigy in the fields of science and being creepy Yet, he never saw himself actually experimenting on people for a living, and even going so far as to experiment upon himself which would eventually lead to a young pink haired girl in his home asking him things along the lines of ‘what now?’ and “where’s the kitchen?” It was funny how unpredictable one’s life could become.
Speaking of unpredictable, as Alzeid continued to glance down towards the cup of hot chocolate in his hand, he heard an ever so slight rustling and looked up to see that it was Hana. Was she trying to cover her face? Why in the world would she have been doing that? Was she finally losing it? Oh how fun; it wasn’t all too often that Alzeid got to witness someone snap, so to see Hana’s mental and emotional composure finally shatter right before the both of them would be a rather intriguing sight to see. Unfortunately for Alzeid, after only a moment or two he came to realize that she probably hadn’t snapped and that it was something else. ”...Bummer.” he thought towards himself before he would begin bringing up the possible “issue”. ”Hana?” He continued. ”...Are you alright?” He asked, sounding curious as to why she had suddenly covered her face like that; it seemed almost too random; even for Hana.

Creep'o'meter 2000 was going off like crazy. Why was he touching her? She didn't move at all, she was a bit too surprised by the sudden skin contact for that. Hana went ahead and let him do whatever ti was he was doing to her arm. She watched him, and figured it out quickly what he was doing. He was studying her artwork. She knew it sucked and would be surprised if he even came close to what it was. She heard him guess right and she smiled. "Yeah, it is. I know it sucks, I'm not a good artist." She laughed taking her arm back as he let go of it. Sort of proud that anyone was able to tell what she was trying to draw. "Sakura." She said softly, gently touching the art. That was the Japanese word for it, she had actually picked up a lot of Japanese. It had been her extra hobby growing up, learn her mother's language. Again it was just out of curiosity for the culture she was never made a part of. Sakura had also been her mother's name. It might not be so obvious that Hana was Japanese at all. Well except her name was complete Japanese, and she was flat chested compared to a lot of the freak of nature beautiful woman here at the SRA. Hana had questioned him on how he was feeling, concerned about his health. She smiled when he said he was feeling a little better. She smiled to see him finally notice the hot chocolate she had spent forever making him. Alright it hadn't been forever, it just felt that long. Hana didn't seem to have that great of patience. She was capable of waiting, but was pretty dramatic about it. Well not publicly dramatic but still, she had to exaggerate about it in her own head. She smiled when he thanked her. Nodding, and then thanking him as well. "Thanks for allowing me to use your kitchen and stuff. You're not such a jerk." She was teasing about the last part, or was she? Hana had just come to a shocking realization. Throwing all the pieces in order to see the bigger picture. Life really was a jigsaw puzzle, you never really knew in the beginning how the pieces would fall together, but all those funny looking events always fell into place to reveal something. Sometimes that picture wasn't exactly what you expected, partly because the life jigsaw puzzle's box didn't show a picture of the complete puzzle so you could end up seeing things you really wish you hadn't. Life apparently wasn't okay with being PG. Hana buried her face in her hands, trying to hide her embarrassment. This was going all wrong, and kept getting more and more awkward for her. First she was tricked into a date, and now this? She couldn't just leave him hanging. She probably looked like she was going crazy, suddenly freaking out like this with no obvious reason why she should do something like this. She took one deep breath, straightened up, and put her hands in clenched fists in her lap. Hana wasn't really sure if trying to answer was going to work, when she was freaking out like this her vocal chords didn't always behave. She was capable of making any noise she had ever heard if she wasn't careful with her strange vocal chords. She attempted to speak, but instead of making words she accidentally made this strange high pitched bird squeal. Her eyes widened and she covered her mouth, probably wondering why in the world that was the noise that had to come out. At least she didn't mimicking anyone else's voice by accident. She looked at him, waiting for some kind of reaction. She really wanted to say she was fine, but if she was making squealing noises that probably wasn't a sign of being fine. She hoped she hadn't squandered her chances of pretending everything was perfectly fine. She slowly moved her hand and tried again, "I-I'm fine." She said, much more high pitched then she had planned on. She sounded like she had been messing around with helium. Hana would have to be okay with that, because she was way to freaked out to fix it. It was just normal for birds to be easily stressed out. She couldn't really help it if her feathers got ruffled. She looked at him, and those thoughts kept erupting in her head. What in the world was she going to do? It wasn't like he could mind read, but she knew that her cover was pretty much blown. She was obviously lying, and she wasn't dumb, and obviously he wasn't either. Then again she wasn't really lying. There was nothing wrong with her, well besides him seeing things. If she looked at it that way her problem was him. She wasn't confessing anything though. No way. "Just forget it." She squeaked, and waved her hand in a dismissing way. As if she could swat away the topic like a fly. She wished it was that easy. Now she would be even more self-conscious around Alzeid. Hana thought it was hard before, being alone with him in this quiet, creepy house. Now there was another thing on that long list of problems... Quickly the subject needed to change. Anything that would get the attention as far from her as possible. Without even thinking that hard about it she asked the dumbest question that popped into her head. As soon as it escaped in a squeak she regretted opening her mouth at all. "What's your favorite kind of hot chocolate?" She did a mental face palm. What kind of question was that?! How many types of hot chocolate were there? Did you just seriously just ask "What's your favorite..." and then the first thing you saw? She was mentally ranting at herself. The best she could do now was put on a quirky smile, and hope that passed for normal. She could imagine there being a spotlight pointed directly on her. That question hadn't helped her at all. Hana was freaking out, but not as bad as some of the times in her past. This was nothing compared to bra shopping for the first time with all three of her brothers, and her father. She still remembered how her father had been stumbling through, and her brothers had been drooling over all the underwear models. Hana wanted nothing more than to not be seen with them at that time. Thank goodness there was a nice lady to help her out. No nice ladies were around now though. Why did males have to be so... embarrassing to be in front of? Why did Alzeid have to be her doctor? Why did Hana say something so stupid. Why was this situation so awkward? Hana wondered suddenly how that meeting was going? Was it too late to run away from this embarrassment and try to go back to that? No, she couldn't ditch him over something as silly as embarrassment.

Of course Alzeid realized that he had probably just startled Hana by being ‘creepy’ as he had gently taken a hold of her wrist to examine her art work. He was glad that she didn’t move her arm away, especially since he had wished to take a look at it. Quite a few of the pen marks were smudged, and some of them were a mess, but he still made his guess, feeling confident in it because, well, that’s simply what it looked like to him. Either that, or it could have been some simple abstract. Abstract was always fun, yet it seemed so difficult to capture one’s emotion onto the page, especially if you had an image in your head that may be a struggle to create. Personally, Alzeid wasn’t much of an artist, but he wasn’t that bad either. If someone was ever granted the chance to see any of his art, they may be in for a pleasant surprise considering he didn’t practice much at all, yet it still wasn’t that bad. In fact, there may be a person or two that may say it’s good, but that might only be because of his appearance since some people seemed to be intimidated by him. He never really could figure out why... Actually, that was a flat out lie, he knew he was creepy, and they knew it too; why spare anyone’s feelings in this cruel reality?
He listened to Hana as she had stated that she knew that her drawing sucked and had also gone so far as to say that she wasn’t a good artist. ”..Perfect practice makes perfect.” He replied simply. It was true though; perfect practice did make perfect, did it not? The old saying, ‘Practice makes perfect.’ Seemed to be rather inaccurate; if the practice was insufficient, then surely the result wouldn’t be anywhere near perfect. Yet, who was to say Hana was striving for perfection? That was an interesting thought, actually. He wasn’t sure if she was or not, and he would really rather not assume something, so he had left himself hanging on that last thought. He nodded slightly when she mentioned that a Cherry blossom tree was Sakura. That was right. He knew this because; well, it seemed fairly common to know a little bit of Japanese. He had no idea that it was Hana’s hobby, so he didn’t ask about it, yet it somehow surprised him with how she knew such a thing. Typically, she didn’t seem like the type to research other cultures, and yet, she had just proved his assumption wrong. Perhaps he should begin to assume less of Hana?
Taking a sip from his hot chocolate, he had given it all of his attention for a few moments to try and clear his head a little bit as to what his possible risks of death were right now. It was something that almost scared him. The key word in that sentence, yet again, was ‘almost’. The thought of dying didn’t bother him too much, in fact, he was intrigued by it, however if he really would be killed from this injection, he wanted to make sure he died in a location suitable for himself. Ah yes, here he goes, planning his death all over again. He mentally slapped himself and tried to convince his own mind that he wasn’t going to die and that he would be fine if he found an antidote in time. Surely he could manage that simple task, right? He was taken from those thoughts when he heard Hana thank him in return and then go so far as to mention that he wasn’t such a jerk. Giving her a confused look, he couldn’t help but to ask about that. ”What’s that supposed to mean?” He asked before taking another sip from the hot chocolate. Yes, he was enjoying it.
Things continued on from there. Alzeid didn’t really notice any possible awkward-tension between them; perhaps he was just naive right now? He always picked up ‘hints’ very quickly, but for the moment, it just seemed like Hana was being weird. He was quiet and he allowed her to reply to his question. Was she alright? The first answer almost made him spit out some of the hot chocolate he had in his mouth, but he managed to swallow it despite her high pitched squealing sound, or, whatever you want to call it. Not long after, she tried again, and softly spoke saying that she was fine. Oh, okay then... Actually, no. He wasn’t just going to accept that so easily. Obviously, she wasn’t fine if she couldn’t answer without sounding extremely high pitched. Were her vocal chords breaking or something? It sounded as if she had ingested a bunch of helium; it was kind of amusing. Before he could go on to ask her if she was really alright, she had actually continued to go on and say that he should just forget it. No. That wasn’t going to happen, whether Hana liked it or not. Maybe Alzeid wasn’t the most persistent person on this planet, but he had his moments where if he needed to find something out, he would do everything within his power to do so. ”You’re really not the most convincing actress.” He said, casually insulting her acting abilities. Hmm, perhaps this is what she meant by referring to him as a jerk? ”Is there something troubling you, Miss Haruka?” His tone was calm and it sounded in control; he was simply curious, was there something wrong with her? Had he done something to make her feel... Uncomfortable?
It was soon apparent that Hana wished to change the subject. How did Alzeid know? Well, judging by what she asked him next, he couldn’t help but to give himself a mental face palm. Why Hana?? Why do you ask such stupid questions?? Did she really need to know what his favourite kind of... Wait.. Did she really just ask him what his favourite kind of hot chocolate was?? REALLY!? He was a little disappointed that she couldn’t have come up with something better to discuss, but it definitely didn’t take him long at all to reply. ”There’s more than one kind?” He asked before taking a sip of his own and then looking to Hana to pay attention to any possible reply. He wasn’t sure that there was more than one kind of hot chocolate, but apparently there was, and apparently Hana wished to discuss it. How odd. It wasn’t long after that when Alzeid would turn away for just a moment to cough; of course he had the manners to cover his mouth as he did so, and when he was finished he would put his attention back towards Hana thinking that it was nothing serious, even though it was possible that the symptoms were becoming more active..

Hana heard him say something that sounded exactly like some old saying that every old person knows. Hana wasn't calling Alzeid old, that wasn't what she meant. No she just meant, he was older mentally! Yeah, that was what she meant! Hana was glad her thoughts didn't escape her head, otherwise she would be in a world of embarrassment. Hana knew well that she wasn't the brightest crayon in the box, despite her gaudy hair color. Okay, she didn't think it was gaudy personally but some of the older woman in the hospital she used to be an intern at had some problems with it. She had been the subject of jokes in the old break room. Hana sort of missed those days, back when she was just a human, and didn't have to worry about quite so many things. Hana laughed in spite of herself at his curious look and question. What did he think it meant?! She hoped he wasn't serious. "Let's just say your not a favorite among the nurses. At least you don't have the perma-smile like Peter." She laughed again. That was what the nurses called Peter's smile. He was always smiling, and after a while it gave people the creeps. Hana would bet that Peter could even say "your puppy just died" with a smile on his face. She imagined that, and it kinda gave her chills. "I guess I'm not very popular either though." She shrugged and took a drink of her hot chocolate. Things had gotten really awkward. Hana's face was suddenly covered with a mix of embarrassment, and horror. Bad, bad, bad! This was very bad! Hana heard him ask again about what was troubling her. Hana quickly protested, "No!" It came out in a high pitched, panicky sound. Hana couldn't believe how stupid she was looking right now. She didn't know if embarrassing herself like this right now was any worse then just admitting what she was thinking. She didn't even know how to put that into words, was she going to rattle off her whole list of problems to him?! Hana in her panic had tried to quickly change the subject. She put down her hot chocolate, and shook her head. "I don't know!" She pretty much whined the words like some grumpy child. this was just getting worse and worse. She heard him cough, and looked up in time to see him turning to look at her again. She didn't know what to make of that. Hana decided that this embarrassment had gone on long enough, she wasn't gonna keep up her horrible acting. "Okay, you called my bluff." She started, not knowing exactly how to finish. She propped her head up with her elbow on the table, not really caring about manners right now. She wasn't going to look at him when she said this. No way, it was bad enough she had to say anything at all. "I'm kind of nervous, and I don't handle stress well." She said, and then biting down on her other thumb. That hadn't been a habit until after she got her wings, aka got turned into a test subject. A lot of things were different now. Hana hoped her feathers didn't start falling out. That wouldn't be pretty... Hana was now suddenly ticked off. Having to admit anything, especially something girly like being nervous, was awful. She was turning into a wuss, and she had no idea what in the world to do about it! What in the world could she do right now, to feel more... manly. Hana realized that she was doing it again. Acting like a a man, even though she was clearly female. Or at least she hoped she appeared female. Despite having turning into one of those preppy, giggly, moronic females being one of her phobias, she didn't want to be male. Hana couldn't help having a boyish mentality though, that was just her thing! Well even females were allowed to be ticked off at least and she was. Hana barely noticed how hard she was now biting on her thumb. Well of course she was then suddenly aware of the sudden taste of blood in her mouth. She really didn't like that taste, and she pulled her thumb out and quickly examined it. Ooops, her forehead creased a bit as she looked at it. She glanced up at Alzeid, hoping he hadn't noticed that. Last thing she needed right now was a reputation of being some overly emotional, masochistic, idiot. It wasn't really bad at all, nothing worse then a paper cut would be. The color was quickly returning to it, although there were still dark spots where the pressure of her teeth had been just a moment before. Why did she have to be such a bird-brain? That pun being an accident, but quite cute. She quickly hid her thumb by closing it in on the inside of a fist, and placing it in her lap. She stopped propping her head up with her elbow, and sat up straight. Her free hand was now being used to lift the hot chocolate mug up to her mouth for a sip. Well actually that turned quickly from a sip, to a full on guzzle. Yeah, chugging had always felt like a manly thing to do. She had always had chugging contests with her brothers. Those were the days... Hana left a space open for him to try and bug her about why she was so nervous. Some people were sort of nosy, well not nosy, just curious. She probably would have done the same. If one of her patients was acting this way, Hana wouldn't shock herself if she threatened their face for an answer. Well that alone was sort of a reason to be nervous. Hana did have a small tendency to be a little bit violent. Usually she didn't hit people, but she sure did have a mean bark. It was as easier to just snap at people and say shut up, then that useless please be quiet stuff. She knew that was considered rude, but really didn't care. Of course she wouldn't do that to someone she was supposed to be the underling of. She sort of remembered right now that Alzeid was still higher in rank then her. Heh, well this just got more embarrassing. This was just as bad as having a moment in front of Peter! She often called that man Peter, when he wasn't around, but often called him Dr.Connel in person. Hana was probably much more comfortable with Alzeid then she was with Peter. She wondered why that might be? There was just something always off about Peter... He smelled like alcohol and smoke all the time, and he was always wearing that fake smile... Hana had seen his daughter running around the SRA before. She was a test subject too. Hana pondered that for a moment, she didn't know how the child became a test subject, but something about that gave her slight chills... Hana really loved children, and she could hardly imagine how difficult it must be for a child to be in a place like this. Of course Hana had just barely entered adult hood before coming here, but she was still a little on the older side for a test subject... Being shot though, she could see how the recruiter people had possibly mistaken her for someone younger.

Alzeid was actually a little confused when Hana mentioned him being a jerk. He knew he wasn’t the nicest guy out there, but he had never really thought of himself as a jerk. Oh well. As she continued to explain that he wasn’t the most popular among the nurses, he nodded slightly understanding what she had meant by that. It was true, he wasn’t the most popular, but this was work, not a popularity contest, so Alzeid saw no reason for him to care about such a thing. When Hana went on to mention that at least he didn’t have a perma-smile like Peter, he couldn’t help but to be amused by the thought of such a thing. ”To be honest, I’ve always admired his perma-smile.” He admitted, finding it amusing to see his elder half brother constantly wear such a burden on his face. Well, maybe it wasn’t a burden, but with a smile like that, it could make situations seem very misleading, or even awkward depending on what was going on. Still, that’s why Alzeid admired it; it would be difficult to keep a smile for that long without having some reason to allow it to fade. Speaking of which, he now couldn’t help but to wonder something of his own half brother; did he wear his smile when he was all alone?
Apparently Hana wasn’t all too popular either. Hmm. Well, now it seemed he would just have to give her a rude awakening. ”..You know, it’s not a popularity contest.” He continued. ”Does it really matter what anyone else thinks?” He asked, curious as to what her opinion was upon that particular topic. There were people out there, who had based their whole lives on what other people thought of them, and Alzeid felt bad for them, but there was really nothing he could do about that. Yet, now, he couldn’t help but to be curious as to if Hana was one of those people or not. Did she care what other people thought of her? Did she mind if she was an outcast? Did she wish to be on top of everyone in the popularity chain? ...Would she care what he thought of her?
It startled Alzeid to hear her high pitched ‘No’. What was wrong with her? Why must she speak in such a high pitch? It almost hurt his ears to hear such a sound burst from her vocal chords. ”Perhaps I did too well with this experiment?” he thought to himself, thinking back a little bit as to how he had been her doctor for the majority of her operations. He couldn’t help but to semi-regret those vocal-chord operations, especially because the pitch was really beginning to bother him. ”Hmm.. Shall I just remove the chords, in general?” Of course, being the kind of person that he was, he was legitimately debating over the idea. Eventually, he decided against it; he’d leave it alone unless it continued to severely bother him.
Obviously, he had just been speaking a little too soon towards himself. Her pitch really did continue to bother him when she had screamed that she didn’t know. Of course you can only imagine how grateful he was that he didn’t have any hot chocolate in his mouth at the time since he probably would have ended up spitting it out from hearing that whiny pitch yet again. That probably wouldn’t have ended up being very pleasant although he would soon take his thoughts away from that and listen to Hana as she would begin to admit that he called her bluff. Yep, he knew it. He just knew it. Well, it wasn’t as if she didn’t make it obvious, yet it was nice to hear her actually go on to admit such a thing on her own so that he wouldn’t have to force her. It wasn’t often that Alzeid had to force people to admit something, yet it was often enough to be familiar with the very concept of such a thing. Sort of like how a bird would be familiar to flight. Birds probably didn’t actually have anything to do with this, but, still, that was just a comparison that he just so happened to have thought of. Yet, speaking of birds, Hana was a test subject made from one; an African grey parrot to be exact. Strangely enough, the animal seemed to be suiting her personality quite well; he didn’t know this while he had been operating, but now that he has gotten to know her a bit, he could actually see it all coming together rather nicely.
As Hana went on to explain that she was acting this way because she was nervous, and because she didn’t handle stress very well, he had nodded in response. He didn’t actually voice his opinion, nor his questions, comments, or concerns as of yet because he was, well, I suppose you could call it ‘busy’. In a way, he was adjusting himself only ever so slightly. That may sound weird, but what I mean is that Alzeid would move from standing up not too far away from Hana and the counter, and move over towards the chair at the table right across from where Hana was sitting. Putting his hot chocolate down on the table once he had finished his smooth and somewhat quick transition to sitting across from her, he would begin to speak. ”Being nervous isn’t anything to get so stressed out over.” Did that even make any sense?? It was funny, he hadn’t really noticed; in his mind, becoming nervous was no excuse to stress oneself out, which is why he said that. ”Why would you be nervous?” Had he said something wrong? Or, perhaps he did something and it made her feel too uneasy to even speak within a normal tone of voice? Well, at least she was speaking normally now, right?
For these moments he was forgetting about what had happened and just enjoying some socialization. It was amusing, annoying, entertaining, silly, weird, and sadistic. Wait, that last word didn’t really fit, now, had it? Or, maybe it had? Another thing he found amusing about this was the way he saw Hana make her thumb bleed. She appeared to be embarrassed about it, but he thought nothing of it. Okay, he did think something of it because it actually reminded Alzeid of himself. It was a bad habit, yet it seemed Alzeid also bit his fingers while he was feeling bored, stressed out, enlightened, intrigued, amused, entertained, in a process of deep thought; actually, he had yet to really pinpoint the emotion of the cause, yet it was possibly most often while he was stressed out. Alzeid may not seem like the type to get stressed out at all, but believe it or not, he actually did from time to time, and it rarely ended well. Speaking of stressed, he was worried about the meeting. Were the others mad at him? Or was he being dismissed without much of a hitch? Actually, he shouldn’t care. He was taking a sick day, or, well, dying day; and that was his choice..Sorta. Well, as much of a choice as it was to eat at least once a week to remain even semi-healthy.

but it was the simplest way to say it without going into the gory detailsHana smiled when Alzeid said he actually admired the perma-smile. She shrugged, "It's not a bad smile." She thought about it a little more. Peter was hiding something, she had come to that conclusion back when she was first starting out. There had to be something he was hiding. Not that he made it hard to figure out that he was hiding something. That smile, and those bandages he always wore around his neck and wrists. She wondered what was underneath it. Rumors in the break room said he had horrible scars under them... she wasn't sure if she should believe that though, it sounded too... creepy. They probably were just trying to scare her... Or were they? Hana glanced up at Alzeid when he announced it wasn't a popularity contest. That made her smirk... She was still sort of locked in a mind set she had adopted at the old hospital. She was hit with a hard question. "I would have to say that depends... There are a lot of variables with that." she leaned back, mulling that over in her head a bit. "Any random stranger on the street? No they don't really matter. Your boss? Okay that does sort of matter, if you want to keep your job. What your friends think? Depends on the situation. I only care about what certain people think under certain circumstances. If I'm doing what's right, anyone who has a problem with that can go eat some shoelaces. If I'm being a screw up... I'd appreciate someone who thought I was being a screw up telling me. I guess I'm naturally competitive though. Having three older brothers to pick fights with all the time does that. It's a pecking order sort of thing in that situation." Hana had to use a long explanation to answer that question. It was a hard question after all. Hana just voiced her own personal thoughts on it, she wasn't asking anyone else to agree with her. She was sort of curious as to what the doctor thought... "Do you care?" She asked, almost blurting it out. She couldn't help being a little curious. Hana rarely got a chance to have a personal talk with Alzeid or Peter or any other doctor for that matter. She hadn't really earned a spot in their ranks yet, so for now she was still just the annoying nurse who was always asking questions. She was the little apprentice, that she figured was just an annoyance to everyone. She didn't really care if they thought she was annoying though. It was what had to be done. Hana looked at him and there was a clear question mark on her face as he said being nervous wasn't anything to get nervous about... Okay then... What did that even mean?! Hana let that fall completely out of her mind as she was hit with the question she had been dreading to hear. What girl wanted to tell a guy she sort of had a crush on, that the reason she was embarrassing herself in front of him, was because you kinda sorta might have a crush on him?! "Um...." she said, looking around desperately as if the walls would come to life and give her something believable to say. Her face started turning pink as all sorts of thoughts popped in her head. She wasn't going to admit to it, but yes a few fantasies did run through her head. Of course she never consciously decided, oh hey, I'm gonna day dream about Alzeid while I'm drinking hot chocolate with him. No that wasn't what happened. It was more of a, hey what if I told him and he liked me and then it was all okay? Sort of thing. It was like someone had put the film that played through her head on 10x speed. It was almost dizzying.... "It's not a topic I can discuss with the opposite gender." She quickly said, trying to save herself from drowning. Then she realized that it sounded like she was on her period or something. She wanted to pound her head on the wall now. How badly could she embarrass herself in one day? Was there no limit?! Hana's face was suddenly written over with panic. "But it is NOT that." She said, being very particular about the not and the that. She knew he was a doctor and just assumed he would think it was that. Well it definitely wasn't that. Hana swallowed... Realizing just how immature she was being about this. If she was a mature female she wouldn't be hiding desperately from the guy she liked, she would be flirting or trying to get his attention. She had the spot light on her right at this moment. What was she doing with it? Trying to hide! Hana wanted to pound her head on something, this kind of stupidity should really be punished... Now she was considering getting this out of the way. If she kept up this horrible stupidity, and embarrassing herself, there was no way that he would ever think she was... What did she want him to think? She looked at him, he was now sitting near her. She had no idea what she wanted him to think. What did he think? "Okay. Fine. I'm telling you... The reason I'm nervous... Well... you were one of my doctors." She finally gave out. That was the problem. He was her doctor which had caused all this fuss. She didn't know if that explanation even made sense, but it was the simplest way to say it without going into the gory details. Well the details weren't actually gory, but they were bad enough to be compared to that. Hana seriously sucked at this romance thing. She wasn't all that experienced in this field in the first place. She had no idea what to do about this, all the experience she ever had was with guys coming to her... Wasn't that how it had worked during ancient times? Yeah, yeah it was 4413... Traditions like that made thing easier for girls though! Of course she remembered history classes make the ancient times sound like a horrible place to live in. The Romans wouldn't even let their females have personal names... They were just given a feminized version of their father's middle name. That would have seriously sucked... Hana didn't even know her father's middle name, but she knew it wasn't Hana. She might have ended up something like... Paulina... Hana immediately had a sudden dislike for Ancient Rome's rules... She hoped that the conversation quickly switched to a different topic. Then she realized she had some time to think of some possible responses if it didn't. She wouldn't have to scramble so much when he bugged her if she was already thinking about what to say. She seriously hoped that he would just leave it alone though. What was the big deal? It was just one thing, and he didn't need to know about it. He already sort of new about it, which was what caused the whole problem. He knew too much... notes | lol that is so awesome! and yeah I am bad at math rofl oh and i am trying out this new style for hana's posts. what do ya think? xD word count | um... 1 2 5 7 i think? ^_^;

He had to agree with Hana on that one; Peter didn’t have a bad smile. It was a little strange to see the thing on his face for the majority of the time, but it was amusing once someone had adjusted to seeing it all the time. Did he smile when he was alone? This couldn’t be answered, at least, not by Alzeid. He didn’t know his half brother all that well. They had only really met a couple years ago, and they weren’t that close. Perhaps they would occasionally spend time with one another, but that was pretty rare since they didn’t seem to share the most common interests. In any case, Alzeid had agreed with Hana, it wasn’t a bad smile, yet, that didn’t mean that it was good either. He couldn’t help but to feel that Peter was always up to something; he probably wasn’t always, yet that smile just seemed to portray that, and that was another reason why Alzeid admired it.
It wasn’t much longer when Hana had began to answer his question. In all honesty, he didn’t expect her to put too much thought into it. He had really just been throwing around the question as if it was nothing, so to receive such a careful answer was very intriguing. It did have a lot of variables, yes, and her answer was understandable. He wanted to ask her a bit about her brothers, but before he could say anything about that, she had gone on to ask him the same thing. Did he care what other people thought about him? He actually gave himself a couple minutes to debate about it. His mother? Not really. Brother? Nope. Father? Hell no. Friends? Uhh.. No, not really them either. Did he care what the other doctors thought of him? Nope. Nurses? Nope. Hmm. And as for his boss, well, he didn’t care about that either. His knowledge in this particular medical field was rather outstanding, considering his age and actual experiences. So he understood that it would be difficult to fire him from this job. It was definitely possible, yet, surely it would slow things down when it came to test subject production rate. Speaking of the test subjects, he didn’t really care what they thought of him either. In fact, their reactions had tendencies to greatly amuse him before an operation. ”...Not particularly.” He answered, simply summing up what he had determined himself. Did he seem like a liar when he said that?
As Alzeid awaited to hear the answer towards his next question, he had raised his cup of hot chocolate and had taken a sip before putting it back down onto the table. It was good. He was glad that he thanked her for it, even if she had commented upon him being a jerk. He wasn’t easily offended or anything, but the way it sounded was almost unpleasant. He turned his attention back towards Hana as she had begun to answer but trailed off for a bit. That was fine; he was usually patient in terms of this sort of thing. Come to think of it, all doctors had to be fairly patient, especially when operating, or it was entirely possible to lose patience, lose focus and slip with the scalpel. Alzeid had never done this personally, but he had heard of someone who did, and in all honesty, he laughed at him. It was cruel, but yes, Alzeid found it funny that someone had to die because of another’s lack of patience. Perhaps it wasn’t quite there, but it was almost ironic how that had come to happen. He almost wished that he could have been there to laugh in the guy’s face when he messed up, but, that would appear to be ‘unsportsmanlike’ even though surgery isn’t an extreme sport. They should make it one. There’d be quite a few participants, and things could get very bloody interesting, very quickly..
He couldn’t help but to be legitimately curious as to what if surgery was an extreme sport, but he allowed his thoughts to be torn from that possibility and drift back towards Hana as she would begin to explain why she was feeling nervous. So, it wasn’t something she could discuss with the opposite gender? Oh, alright, that was no big deal... WAIT A MINUTE!! Of course, as a doctor, Alzeid realized that it was natural for something to occur to females once a month, but did this mean that Hana was haemorrhaging all over the chair?? Gah!! That wasn’t good!! It wasn’t as if he had a problem with her sitting, it’s just, he had a problem with her bleeding to death on the freakin’ chair!! It’s not as if he could throw the thing in with the laundry!! Damnit! He might need to re-furnish after this visit... How depressing.
Sudden relief engulfed him when Hana mentioned that it wasn’t that. Oh, thank goodness, that meant he wouldn’t need to re-furnish. Phew. That could have been a disaster. He could see it now; going to a furniture store and trying to explain that he was just replacing his old ones because there was blood on the other set. That almost seemed humiliating. To him, it may feel humiliating, but now that he thought over it a little, if he was to do such a thing at a furniture store, they may come to think he was some sort of serial killer, especially due to his appearance. Apparently he was rather intimidating which wasn’t all that bad, but it wasn’t always the best thing either.
Before he could ask Hana if she could at least hint him as to why she was acting so strange, she began to answer herself, admitting that she would tell him. Alright, that was good to know. He wasn’t sure why he wished to know this of Hana, usually he didn’t care, but it could possibly be the fact that they were in his house right now. Or, was it? She explained that it was because he was one of her doctors. Oh? Did she have something against doctors? Well, seeing as she was training to become one, then, probably not. Hmm... What sort of trouble could she have with him being her doctor? Did she just not like him? Obviously, Alzeid could be guessing all day and not come to understand that it had anything to do with the fact that he probably knew her own body better than her, which was an odd thought, but it was true. He never really understood the concept of being self conscious, so he was only struggling to guess why she would have a problem with him being her doctor.
He wished to ask her why she had a problem with him being her doctor, and if there was anything he could do to make her a little less nervous on the topic. Yes, that’s right, Alzeid had those moments. Those moments where he wouldn’t seem like such a jerk, because whether he liked to admit it or not, he sort of was one. Yet, he could be sensitive too, it just took time. Too bad he didn’t get the chance to ask her, it would have seemed sweet. That wasn’t his intention, well, not consciously. Instead of asking her what he had hoped to ask, he ended up turning away to cough a bit. Being one with at least a slight sense of manners, he covered his mouth while he coughed to spare Hana from directly witnessing such a thing. It hurt. It really hurt. He never wanted to admit things like this, but it was painful. The coughing didn’t last too long, yet it took his breath away, so he couldn’t help but to gasp a little bit once he was finished. Hesitantly, he had brought his hand away from his mouth. His eyes widened towards what he saw. Blood. There was blood in the palm of his hand. This meant internal damage. This meant the injection was working faster than he had hoped...

x x All the quirky conversation completely vanished from her mind.Hana watched him as he thought about her question. She really had been curious. When she got a short, two word reply she felt a little silly. She had gone off and given some huge sincere answer. Hana let that roll. It was probably her just over thinking things. She seriously doubted that he was bored by her long explanation and just throwing in the answer because he didn't care. It was probably that he just felt differently about it and that really was a sincere answer. Well it wasn't like he was lying about anything as simple as that though. Hana didn't think he was anyways... Their conversation continued to progress. With all sorts of quirky transitions. Hana was extremely embarrassed, self-loathing, immature, trying to act mature, and many other things along the way. Hana knew all of that. It was funny how important a moment seems until something else comes up. She was so sure a moment ago that it was so important not to screw this up. Those thoughts were soon gone though. At first she didn't think anything of it. Alzeid turned again, as if he were about to cough. He started to cough and the noise was a wretched one. She was prepared to ask if he was okay, but it was soon apparent that this was more then choking a little on hot chocolate. Something strange happened to Hana's stomach. Like a sixth sense was telling her that something was definitely not right here. Hana ended up jumping to her feet, her chair getting pushed out behind her. She leaned over to see what was going on better. There was something crimson on his hand, and she couldn't believe it. This took about 3 seconds to process, it went from blank, to crimson, to liquid, to blood, to OMG HE IS COUGHING UP BLOOD in about three seconds. It was amazing how fast Hana's brain could process things. Hana gasped, "Holy Hannah!" She exclaimed, all the stupid worries from before disappearing. All the quirky conversation completely vanished from her mind. This was emergency time. "Should I call someone?" She asked. Who would she even call? Who did you call when one of the best doctors was coughing up blood? Hana stared at the color of it for a moment. She was getting a horrible feeling about this. She was seriously concerned about him. There wasn't anything to run around to and try to tinker with to try and fix him here though. So she had to think of something else she could do. A few names flew through her head but she landed on one particular one. "Should I call Dr.Connel?" She started, then wondered if he might still be in that meeting. She doubted that meeting was important enough to keep him from coming and helping her take care of Alzeid. Meanwhile in a different place but at the same time... Dr.Connel was sitting at a desk without about fourteen other doctors. He Also had three nurses, and a single test subject in the room. She was on her hands and knees, wagging her tail, and entranced by the lazer pointer on the screen. Her eyes flickered back and forth as Peter attempted to explain what was going on. Soon he was passing around a hat with little pieces of paper in it. He was the first person to take out a piece of paper. Tensions rose as the hat got passed around. "So whoever pulled out the paper with a dot on it, will get the lovely guardian Miss.Everest." He said, with that practiced, fake smile on his face. The papers all unfolded one by one. Then everyone looked around to see who had been the extremely unlucky winner. Peter stared down at his paper, and glared at the dot there. He still wore that practiced smile, but his eyes were filled with sharp anger and pure annoyance. He exhaled slowly looking up, "It appears I have won this. Thank you for agreeing to do this in such a completely fair way. I doubt we would have been able to get to a conclusion anytime soon by any other method." He then dismissed everyone but Miss.Everest... Chloe looked up at her new master. She was supposed to protect him? How boring this seemed to be becoming. Chloe climbed off the floor into one of the chairs and put her head on the table, sideways, bending her neck in a way that was almost uncomfortable but at the same time very nice. "When are we going to play?" she asked, and then whimpered in a way that sounded extremely canine. She was one of those early experiments that had barely even worked. She was only number fifty-three to be exact. Peter smiled at her, but if you looked in his eyes there was clear annoyance there. He wore that plastic smile but his eyes were narrowed and it sort of warped the smile into some sinister expression. "You can play with my daughter later. I need to clean up so please try to stay patient." He said calmly. Then the tall man set to work on putting papers away, and such things. Chloe jumped out of the chair onto the floor, and made petty whimpering noises from being so bored out of her mind. Peter ignored her nonsense and continued his work. Hana was busy by Alzeid's time while the meeting finished up. She had no idea what to do. She was hoping Alzied would stay n good enough condition to simply tell her what she was needed for. She doubted that was going to happen though. If he was coughing out blood for all she knew he could roll over right now. She was extremely worried about him. Hana thought she was stressed out before, look at what she was dealing with now! She was now standing close to him, inspecting all the details of his profile for some hint of what to do now. word count | 1034 notes | there is a word counter on the board too, but my memory is so bad lol thank you for the links though they are super helpful xD oh and my new style thing kinda failed do to me putting spaces in the wrong spots from being so tired sorry xD

[/img] Alzeid’s attention was mostly directed to his hand. He stared at the blood in his palm, but when he heard Hana speak, he glanced over to her. She had gotten there quickly, which was to be expected from a nurse like her. Perhaps he should be more worried about himself right now, but he couldn’t help but to wish to comment on what she said. Holy Hannah? Since it sounded like ‘Hana’ he couldn’t help but to get that confused and to think she had just called herself that. ”..Since when were you holy??” He asked in a quiet tone.
As Hana went on to ask if she should call someone, Alzeid couldn’t help but to wish to give it a little thought. Could he fix this himself, or would he really need some help? Decisions, decisions. He didn’t know of a cure, so he may need some assistance, especially if there was someone who actually did know what the cure for this was. It was humiliating to think that he had ended up making himself sick, and yet, he was supposed to be one of the better doctors within the building. Oh well. When Hana went on to ask if she should call Peter, Alzeid had given that a bit of thought as well. Should she be calling Peter? Out of all the other doctor’s, why had she first named Peter? Alzeid realized that he was very skilled, but so were a few of the others; but she probably just named him first because the both of them would know who that was and could be at least fairly comfortable in his presence. Or was there more to it than that?
That sort of thing certainly didn’t matter at a time like this. It was crucial to make quick decisions without being rash. Did that make any sense? At all? It wasn’t too long after Hana had asked when Alzeid had replied. ”Go for it.” Yes, she should call Peter. He’d hate to admit that he needed help from making himself sick, but maybe, just maybe it was best to forget the ego and allow someone who may know better to give him a hand. Surely Peter wouldn’t make a big deal out of this; right? Even if he did, the humiliation wouldn’t last too long, right? As you can tell, Alzeid wasn’t a fan of humiliation. He had a bit of an ego and it was probably one of the main things that held him back in times like these. At least this time he wasn’t allowing it to remain, or else he wouldn’t have admitted he needed someone else’s help, and would have probably ended up dead. However, just because he had admitted such a thing, didn’t guarantee survival.
He assumed that he should probably stay seated where he was, at least for the time being. Alzeid would then go on to speak a little more. ”There’s a phone in the bedroom.” He turned away and coughed a bit more. It was disgusting, yet interesting all at the same time. What was causing this internal bleeding? ”It should be in a small dresser beside the bed.” Was it weird that he kept his phone inside a drawer by the bed? He never really thought so, in fact, it seemed like a nice place to put it. He was telling her this so that she may call Peter, unless she intended to run off and get him herself, that could work too. If she decided to enter his room, she may be greeted with a slight surprise. There was actually a bit of personality depicted in this room. It wasn’t much, but a few easy examples were the book shelf which contained a single sketch book, a few medical books and even old horror stories, most of them were random, yet two or three of them included the name ‘Stephan King’, an author that passed a long time ago compared to this age. There was also a calendar on the wall with a few scribbles and other notes on it; it was actually a motivational calendar, and this month just so happened to say:
MOTIVATION If A Pretty Poster And A Cute Saying Are All It Takes To Motivate You, You Probably Have A Very Easy Job. The Kind Robots Will Be Doing Soon.
T H O U G H T S ; Don’t worry, it’s fine, and you’re welcome ^-^ Also, I apologize for the shortness of this post, and Hana doesn’t have to enter the room if you don’t want her too (I was just giving a small description in case she did) aaaannnd.... Oh! Click W O R D S ; 7 4 4

x x She hadn't actually put her hands inside anyone's chest cavity yet...Hana didn't smile when she heard what she thought must have been a joke. Herself holy? No way! She shook her head, her face still serious. "Different Hannah." She said, paying more attention to the medical emergency on her hands. A.k.a the blood on his hands. Soon she was questioning him on what to do next. Should she call someone?! Should she call Peter? He was the first name that popped into her head. He was the one in charge around here for a reason. Hana trusted that Dr.Connel could handle just about anything. Maybe it was because she idolized him, and thought he was way better than he was, but maybe it was true? Dr.Connel had that funny perma-smile but he was also known for being an incredible doctor. Hana was given the go ahead for her mission. To find the phone and call for help... She didn't bother asking for directions. It would be easy enough to snoop around and find it. Hana heard him call out that the phone was in his bedroom, in a small dresser beside the bed. Well that was good directions, she should be able to quickly find it. She walked around and opened random doors until she found herself in his bedroom. It looked different in here, there was actually some expression in the furnishings of this room. She noticed a poster about motivation, and it was sort of amusing. A little strange, but amusing. She also noticed that he had some books. She didn't have time to admire such things though. Hana needed to find the phone, she found the bedside dresser. She opened the top shelf, looking into it. It didn't take long at all to find the phone, and she reached in and pulled it out. She looked at the phone, and she opened it up. She looked at the screen's glow for a second, before quickly pushing in buttons in the number that she knew would contact Dr.Connel. She had been here long enough to know mos of the doctor's phone numbers. They were sometimes needed in various places at the SRA so instead of using an intercom, or running around this huge building, it was faster to simply call. The meeting was talking place in a different area of the building, she hoped it wouldn't take too long for Dr.Connel to get to this apartment. Hana hit the send button and placed the phone next to her ear. She heard the typical beeping that meant the other person hadn't picked up yet... Elsewhere Dr.Connel was busy putting papers into a certain order before tucking them away in a folder. Chloe was now sleeping, taking a little dog nap. It was strange how much she acted like a dog, Peter was beginning that whenever she was created the doctors confused the DNA they used on her with a wolf's. His thoughts about whether or not Chloe should have a DNA test to make sure she wasn't really some sort of sheep dog, his phone rang. He automatically reached into his pocket instinctively. People were always calling him and asking for help, he didn't mind at all. What else was there to do with his life besides work? Work was his life, there was nothing better to do with it. Well that was just how Peter felt about it. His life was meaningless without work, one of his only distractions. He depended on that. Of course some types of work were more annoying then others, and he did admit to hating some things. He answered his phone, and Chloe stirred from her sleep. "Hello?" answered Dr.Connel. "Dr.Connel? I need... Well Dr.Levisque needs your help. We need your help." Hana said, sounding a little bit frantic. She was stumbling over her words. "Haruka? What has been taking you so long? What do you need me for?" Peter questioned, he was still smiling, but he sounded a little bit annoyed. She couldn't see that he was smiling so it would probably just seem like she was being a nuisance. "I'm super sorry. We need you because Dr.Levisque is sick, and I don't know what to do." She explained herself to the doctor. "What do you mean sick?" Peter questioned. He was extremely curious now. "I don't know, he has internal bleeding, I know that much. Just please will you help?" Said Hana. She knew what coughing up meant, she had been a nurse long enough. "Where are you?" Peter asked, feeling like he needed to go investigate whatever Ms.Haruka was talking about. It seemed pretty clear that Dr.Levisque was sick, but with what? He was a bit surprised that Dr.Levisque hadn't taken care of it himself. "We're in his apartment." She said, her face turning slightly red. She could only imagine what went on in the doctor's mind on the other line. "Alright I'll be right over." Peter said, and then snapped his phone shut after hanging up. Alzeid's apartment, huh? He hoped he didn't walk into anything he wasn't ready to see. It wasn't like he didn't know about such things, he was a father so of course he knew. It just wasn't in his bucket list to see his half brother's office romances. Well he was just assuming things, he noted that it was just a possibility but probably wasn't going on. Ms.Haruka might be interested in such things, but he doubted that his half brother was. "We're leaving Chloe." He said, and looked down at the girl. She yawned, and stretched like any canine would. Front paws out in front, and but in the air. Her tail began to wag, "Where we goin'?" She asked, getting up. She stood upright now, and inched her way closer to him. "To visit Dr.Levisque, he needs my help with something." Peter said, grabbing the folders and opening the door, leading Chloe in the direction of Levisque's apartment. He wished he had a leash for Chloe, her random pattern of zig zagging through the hallway was a bit annoying. Hana heard the sound of the phone beeping, as Peter had hung up on her. The girl looked down at the phone, hoping that Peter hurried. Quickly, she put the phone back and briskly walked back to the table where she had left Dr.Levisque. her face had worry written all over it. "Dr.Connel is on his way." She said, thinking that those words were familiar. She had probably said that several times since coming here. Preparing for surgery, and letting the operating doctor that Dr.Connel was coming to help out. She hadn't actually had to stick her hands inside anyone's chest cavity yet, but she had administered all sorts of shots. Those shots ranged from medications to chemicals. She knew how to handle a syringe. Hana was standing near him now. Worried because she knew that there was something wrong, but there was nothing she could do about it for as much as she knew. Then a thought occurred to her. There wasn't any medical equipment as far as she knew, in this apartment. How was Peter going to be able to do anything? She bit her lip, looking around, wondering what would happen next. "I hope he gets here soon." She mumbled, just talking to herself mostly. She hadn't really directed it in his direction, so he may not have even heard her say it...

[/img] He immediately caught Hana’s tone when she said it was a different Hannah that she had been referring to. It was apparent that she was a lot more focused on the emergency at hand than she was upon his little attempt to lighten the mood. Just because this was a possible emergency didn’t mean that she had to get frantic about it. The best thing was to stay calm and handle the situation accordingly, and according to the situation, they would need to call someone else. It wasn’t as if he couldn’t have taken care of it himself, it’s just that he didn’t know the cure for this particular injection. Had a cure even been discovered yet? He recalled there was an incident where something like this actually ended up happening to a test subject. It ended up dying since they didn’t find a cure in time, and yet, they had lived for a few days after the injection while it was apparent that Alzeid’s was working a lot faster which wasn’t a good thing since he thought he had more time than this, and he probably would have been able to discover a cure if the symptoms didn’t escalate so quickly.
Oh well. Requesting help from another wouldn’t be so bad. It didn’t take much longer for him to instruct Hana about the phone being in the bedroom. He heard a few doors opening and closing as he couldn’t help but to feel himself roll his eyes slightly. She was so entertaining while she was frantic, but did she really need to be so lost about it? Alzeid listened as the doors stopped opening and shutting. Apparently she found the bedroom; good, the sooner she was there, the sooner she could get the phone and call Peter. He hated to admit his own defeat like this, but he didn’t have much of a choice. He figured that even if he didn’t wish to call anyone else, Hana would just go right ahead because, well, facing the facts, she was a very dedicated and experienced nurse, but there was a reason she hadn’t been promoted to their ranks yet. It wasn’t as if she wouldn’t join them one day, but for now she lacked some of the knowledge that some of the regulars would have here. There was no doubt that she would learn one day; that is, if she kept putting in the effort she was now, but for the time being, she was a nurse, and it was apparent that Alzeid was in need of another experienced doctor.
He shifted slightly on the chair so that the back of it was in contact with the side of his body. He rested his arm on the top of the back of the chair, and allowed the other to simply stay on his leg. Speaking of his legs, he was sitting so that one was crossed over the other. Typically how a woman would usually sit, although surprisingly enough, Alzeid had not made this observation, and only saw it as a comfortable way to be on a chair. He glanced over to the side for a few moments thinking a few things over. What if Peter didn’t know the cure either? He was actually a little worried as to what may happen, and yet... Well, it was difficult to explain. He closed his eyes for a moment or two before opening them again. They portrayed a slightly different shade of color than usual. That was actually one of the stranger ways to tell if a person was ill; in a lot of people, their eye color would begin to look different than usual, and whether Dr. Levisque paid attention to that fact or not, he was simply one of those people.
It didn’t take long for Hana to step back into the room and announce that Peter would be here soon. Actually, were exact reference was “Dr. Connel” but, “Peter” was just another way to say it. He wasn’t too sure why, but he had always preferred to call his half sibling by his first name. They were related, so there really wasn’t a need for extreme formality, especially since they were also a part of the same rank. Alzeid nodded slightly, and everything was quiet for a little while. He heard Hana speak of something, but it was very quiet, so he just assumed that she was speaking to herself, and would ignore it. The silence continued for a little while longer, that is, until Alzeid would feel like breaking it. ”Are you worried?” He asked, curious for the obvious. Yet, he couldn’t help but to wish that she wasn’t. Throughout his life, he hadn’t had many people legitimately worrying about him, so it felt weird. It was very difficult to put into words, but it almost made him feel bad, to cause a person worry in such a manner.

"One day I was in the orphanage with my friends, the next day I wasn't..." Hana returned to his side, and had noticed that he was in a different position. She couldn't help but note that the way he was sitting was rather girlish... Didn't that hurt? She wondered about that but not for long. The way someone sits wasn't necessarily important. Not if you didn't know what that meant. Hana did know that there was a profession that involved reading people's body language. Those kinds of people could tell when you were lying, or how you really felt about a person, just by looking at how you held your position. Hana wasn't one of those people though. She was just a nurse, she couldn't read your mind by just looking at you.
Soon there was distractions from those thoughts. It wasn't something she had been thinking to hard on. Considering the situation she didn't want to think about anything unimportant for too long, it could distract her from what is important. When he finally spoke up, breaking all the silence that had a moment ago been surrounding them, her eyes flicked to him. What kind of question was that? "Well of course I am!" She said, sounding a bit shocked that he had to ask. "It's only natrual... I wouldn't be a nurse if I didn't care about sick people." She smiled, but something was tainting her smile. A hint of sadness? Why would she be sad? Hana had just became aware of that as her facial muscles hesitated to form the smile. Was it because her ob was a bit different now from what she had imagined? she certainly never planned on coming here...
It could be said that Hana hadn't completely decided how she felt about the SRA. She could tell herself that if she helped this place, she would be helping to protect her family, and her country. She also knew that she was helping an organization that was tearing families apart. She had heard the story multiple times. "I was just checking the mail when..." or "I was hit by a hover car" or "One day I was in the orphanage with my friends, the next day I wasn't..." She had heard all of those things, and she couldn't do anything about it. She wanted to help them, she did, but what could she do? they couldn't go back, neither could she... They would probably never see their family again, and neither would she. She couldn't help herself, or anyone else. That thought made her a bit frustrated, but what other choices did she have but to just go along with all of this? She had just decided to play along, and use this opportunity to become a doctor like she had always wanted. Maybe she couldn't help people in the ways she wanted, but she could in this small way.
Hana wondered about Alzeid's family. It just happened to pop into her head that for now he was on of her patients. What happened to his family? "Did you come here on your own free will?" She asked, hoping she wasn't bothering him. He was ill and so she was worried about bothering him. Did talking hurt his throat? He was coughing after all... If she knew it was just a cold or a flu she would have given something for that, but coughing up blood was something much different. His insides could look like they went through a blender for all she knew. Or maybe it wasn't that bad and she was just over reacting...
In a different place, but in the same time... Peter led the way at a steady, fast pace. He wanted to get there and investigate what was going on. How ill was is half brother? Peter half the time forgot to add that half on to the title of Dr.Levisque. It really didn't seem that important to him. They shared one thing in common that was certain, a father, that he assumed they both would enjoy forgetting. It was impossible for Peter to forget that man now though. His father's mark was carved into his very skin, and it reminded him that he was half of a monster. He wondered what Levisque thought of their father for a split second. Then he drifted off into working on getting to his brother. That was how he handled his emotions, if they were negative he ignored them and took on the nearest distraction with full force.
Chloe was growing ever more bored with this. Her ears flicked at every sound she heard, even the echo of their feet on the ground. Her own steps were much quieter, since she was barefoot. Her tail drooped, and when her ears weren't swiveling they were droopy too. Why did she have to be in charge of protecting mr.boringface? Chloe sighed, "Where are we going?" She looked ahead at him with eyes full of hope that it was nearby. Peter turned his head, not stopping, but over his shoulder he glanced at her and replied, "To go take care of some things. To be specific we will be going to Dr.Levisque's apartment." He said calmly. Then returned his eyes to the place ahead of him. Chloe's ears perked in interest. Dr.Levisque? That creepy snake guy? Oh this could be fun...
Chloe ran up to Peter, grabbing his hand and pulling on it as she ran forward. "We need to go faster!" She shouted and then barked pulling him full speed ahead in the direction of the other doctor's home. Her tongue lolled out and she had completely forgotten that Peter was only a human. Peter was forced to run as fast as he could, and was basically being dragged down the hallway. "Chloe! Stop!" he said, clearly there was sharp annoyance, and even a hint of anger in his voice. Chloe turned her head to look at him, slowing down, looking confused. Of course suddenly slowing down on the tile floor didn't go well for the barefoot girl. She slid and fell down, landing on her face. The girl rolled over with a pained howl, and had tears in her eyes as she rubbed her nose. Peter was able to stop without falling down. His face for the first time as far as Chloe knew, wasn't wearing a smile. Instead his face was completely emotionless, like he was a dead empty shell. It seemed even if he couldn't smile, he was capable of masking his emotions. Peter sighed, and reached down, taking Chloe's hand and pulling her off the ground. "That is why there is no running in the hallway." he softly tsked.
Chloe looked at Peter with an expression of annoyance. As if he had just taken away her bone. "Can't you be more gentle with a girl? What if I broke my nose just now?!" Her expression was now the pained expression of a elementary student who just got punched in the stomach by a bully, and was quite sulky about it. Peter looked down at her with an expression of pure curiosity. "Whatever do you mean? You did that on your own Chloe." he answered, sounding positively innocent. He was a good actor, but really it wasn't his fault. All Peter had done was tell her to stop, if she had been wearing normal clothing like a civilized person, she wouldn't have fallen on the slightly slick floor. Chloe glared at him, and then stuck out her tongue, and started walking ahead of him. Her ears were pinned to her school, and she had an angry expression on her face as she rapidly headed for the apartment Dr.Connel had told her about. She wasn't worried about getting lost, she could follow that man's strange smell easily. She personally thought he was just a freak, but his odd smell made him easy to follow.

[/img] After Alzeid asked Hana if she was worried, she had given him her reply, saying that of course she was. Well, of course. He asked the obvious, and he had actually been expecting to get an answer like that from her. What else could he expect when he was purposely getting her to admit things? Yes, this was probably yet another reason as to why he wasn’t ‘the favourite’ but he really didn’t care for that sort of thing. As many could tell, usually, he did as he pleased. Of course he would plan for any consequences up ahead, yet in this scenario, he couldn’t see any. He wasn’t referring to the injection, nor his own possible death, he was referring to how he had just asked Hana if she was worried. He saw no consequence in that, or in what he was about to say. Hana’s reasoning made sense as well. She was right, she was a nurse, and a lot of them did care for sick people. But he remembered that there was one he met once who didn’t. They just took the job because it was all they could get. In any case, without any hesitation, he would reply. ”Then don’t.” he continued, trying to tell Hana not to worry so much since it was beginning to creep him out a little. And it was definitely saying something when the master of the creep was feeling creeped out. ”I don’t think things will end badly, so try not to get your feathers in a knot.” Again, did that make any sense? At all?
Things were silent between the both of them for a few moments. During which time, Alzeid shifted again. He left his arms resting where they were, but he took his leg off from the other and now had both of his feet on the ground. It seemed as if he was having a little bit of difficulties staying comfortable within this particular chair. It wasn’t really the chair, it was actually a bit of anxiety that he refused to outwardly admit. He glanced down towards his feet, he was wearing a different pair of black socks since he had bothered to change those earlier when he had a shower, yet he hadn’t cared much for his clothing. He didn’t have bad body odour or anything, so changing immediately wasn’t mandatory. Looking back towards Hana, she had soon asked Alzeid if he had come here of his own free will. How strange. He actually never had anyone ask him that before. Was it of importance? Probably not. Hana was likely just being curious and trying to start up a bit of conversation while they awaited Peter to arrive, tell him he was going to die, and then leave. Hopefully that wasn’t accurate. Giving it a bit of thought, Alzeid couldn’t help but to wonder about it; should he tell Hana the truth, or should he lie?
It would have been easy to lie, he did it all the time. It was funny that he never really felt guilty about it either. But, he actually decided that he would tell Hana the truth. That’s right, the truth. ”..I did.” He said simply, admitting that he did work at the Scarlet Rose Academy due to a decision he made quite some time ago. He didn’t feel like he was ready to give her the dirty details as to why he came here, so he went on to change the subject. ”...And I assume you didn’t?” He asked, having the feeling that she wasn’t here by choice. Most people weren’t; but for the people who were, they had their own reasons as to why they stayed; of course this meant Alzeid had his, but he could imagine that it was very obvious.
