Hana turned even redder! Why did Alzeid and Chloe have to torture her like this? First there was the embarrassment from earlier that day, and then there was all of the things Chloe did. Now was just another check on the list. She shook her head, "I'm fine!" Hana actually managed to get a handle on her voice again. She was glad, because the way Alzeid looked at her made her nervous. She really didn't want to go through anymore surgeries. Chloe patter Hana's shoulder roughly. Chloe was grinning, seemingly she was proud of Hana for being so assertive. Hana gave Chloe a dirty look for touching her again. Chloe sure was a touchy feely person...
Chloe would end up rushing out, and that would leave Hana, alone with Alzeid. Then again there was always Shep, but he wouldn't be telling anyone what went on while Chloe was away. Well actually Chloe might be able to understand Shep, Hana wouldn't really know that at the moment though. Odds were at least, that the dog would not be tattling. Hana wasn't worried about that though really. What did she have to hide? Well besides her affections, dirty laundry, and secret frailties. It wasn't like she was planning to make a move. That would be too much like something Chloe would do. No way was Hana going there.
With Chloe gone, Hana relaxed a bit. It was like some heavy weight had been lifted off, she knew that it would be back at any time though. She would have to cherish these Chloe-less moments. She went on to express concern for Alzeid, and suggest a few activities for him to do, such as resting and such. She was a bit surprised to hear Alzeid's response to this. She worried too much?! Hana couldn't believe her ears. She should be worried! he had just been coughing up blood, and the fact that she saw him go and clean the blood off his hand only proved it. "Do not." She mumbled, being stubborn.
She kept her eyes trained on him. Hana smiled when he finally said he should be listening to her. It was about time... Hana nodded, even though Alzied seemed not to thrilled about it. It wasn't that he said ti in a negative way. It wasn't that at all. Just the casualness of it. It didn't say that this was torture for him, but ti didn't seem like it would be fun either. At least he was agreeing to listen. That was all she could really ask for at the moment He continued to go on, saying that he would be going into the living room to maybe take a seat. She was made aware that she was welcome to join him, and she would. There wasn't much to see, and she wasn't going to stand around dilly-dallying. She was sort stuck on making sure to watch Alzeid at all times. She would keep a good watch on him.
As Alzeid entered the room the large dog lifted his head. Shep's eyes followed the man wherever he went now that they were in the same room. The dog's ears perked as he saw his master enter the room as well. His long tail wagged slowly in response to her present. He put his head back down after a moment, and went back to relaxing. The large animal was fine and dandy right where he was. Hana smiled at her dog, happy to see him too. She walked over to her dog, and plopped down onto the floor next to him. The dog lifted his head again, looking at her. Hana smiled, petting the large dog with long strokes. She had to reach and lean to cover the animal's back. The dog's tail wagged a bit faster then a moment ago, causing a slight thump on the ground. It couldn't be helped, the dog's tail was big, just like the rest of the dog.
"Y'know I bet Shep is worried about you too. Aren't you Shep?" she was sort of talking to Alzeid at first, but then it was all about the dog. Shep lifted his head higher, and gave her a curious look. Then the animal turned his head and looked at the man that he guessed Hana was referring to. The dog tilted his head, not really sure why his master was asking silly questions that didn't really make sense to him. The dog shook his head, trying to show he didn't understand the question. Hana started laughing at the dog's response, thinking he meant that he wasn't worried about Alzied. The dog looked at his master with a bewildered expression, and turned to look at Alzeid, the subject of the matter, for possible answers. "I guess not." Hana said, rubbing behind the dog's ears. Hana was pretty absorbed in her dog.

[/img] It was nice to hear Hana get her voice back to a more... regular pitch. As she announced that she was fine, Alzeid had given her a curious look. Was she really? ”If you say so.” Things would progress, and pretty soon Chloe had left, Alzeid had washed the dried blood from his hands, and soon he was insisting that Hana worried too much. It seemed like she really did; if she got stressed out so easily, then that probably just meant that she was worrying about everything just a tad bit too much. Either that or he had actually rewired something wrong in her brain. But, did he give her brain surgery? As good as his memory was; he worked with quite the number of test subjects, so it was sometimes difficult to recall which surgeries they have, or have not undergone without checking his little black book resource note book; the main “did this to who, and did that because why” book of his which was down in his lab.
For the moment, Alzeid ignored Hana’s claim; insisting that she didn’t worry too much. Yes, she did. She was just being stubborn about admitting it. It wasn’t much longer before he would announce that he might go sit and hang out in the living room for awhile, and that she was welcome to join unless she felt like doing something else. Perhaps she would wish to see the skeletons in the closet? He had to admit, her reaction would likely entertain him quite a bit... Especially when she found out they were fakes after screaming her head off to get the ‘dead’ things away from her. That reminded him; was Hana afraid of dead things? Or was it just the rats that made her uncomfortable?
Soon, Alzeid made his way down the hallway, and as he did, he heard footsteps pattering behind him which meant that Hana was going to join. Alrighty then.. He glanced towards Shep as he walked by; and since the couch wasn’t too far away, Alzeid sat on the seat closest to the dog since.. Well, it intrigued him. A dog that size wasn’t the most common thing to see around here, especially not in the ‘Academy’, so he thought that he may as well get a good look at the dog while he had the chance. Hana followed behind and took a seat next to the dog which wasn’t too far from the couch Alzeid was sitting on. He watched as Hana went on to pet Shep and then say that he was worried about him as well. Really? Probably not. Alzeid watched the dog and it only seemed confused by what was said, and that’s when Hana went on to say that she had guessed that he didn’t. Really, that didn’t surprise Alzeid in the slightest.
Perhaps now would be a good time to express why he thought Shep wasn’t worried? Of course, Alzeid realized that the dog probably didn’t speak English; but his idea was just an alternative of what was really going on... Still, if the dog spoke English, it would make sense. ”I don’t think Shep is worried because he knows you’re blowing this out of proportion.” That was a good point, but maybe Alzeid wasn’t taking this seriously enough? Well, he had stopped coughing up blood awhile ago, so from what he could tell, he would be just fine. While he was on the couch, he was sitting somewhat casually leaning forward; both of his feet were on the ground, and both of his elbows were resting on his knees. However, that was before he had shifted; at this point in time he would now be sitting with his back on the couch; his arms rested by his sides, and only one of his heels made contact with the floor because he was now sitting with his ankles crossed, so one foot had rested peacefully on the other.
It wasn’t long before Alzeid did a little math. He was good at math, and his physics wasn’t half bad either. However, this was English math. Yes, you read correctly, English math. Hana, plus Alzeid, minus Chloe, plus Shep was almost equal to Alzeid plus Hana. Now, in the same equation used earlier that day; Hana plus Alzeid plus morning-ish was equal to awkward. Would it be the same in the afternoon; or, whatever time it was now? There was only one way to find out; and Alzeid was still curious about earlier. It didn’t seem like a good time to ask before because Chloe was here, but now that she was factored out for now; they should be alright to speak in semi-private for a couple of minutes. ”By the way..” He continued, bringing this up rather casually. ”What was it that was bothering you so much earlier?” He asked, recalling she said something about him being one of the doctors...? Why would that bother her?

Hana looked at Alzeid with a hint of frustration on her face. Did he not get that he had been really sick not too long ago? It probably didn't seem that big of a deal to him, but it was a big deal to her. Hana happened to care a lot about him. Well not a huge amount, but more than usual. Shep looked at the male as he spoke, and his ears perked at his name. He then looked at Hana, wondering what exactly was going on. Shep knew a lot of English words for a dog. he didn't understand a lot of them though. All the big words Alzeid had just used just served to confuse the dog. Hana had the habit of treating the dog as a child. She usually only sued small words.
Hana sighed, and pet the dog. Shaking her head, "Okay. Maybe, just maybe; you're right. I still think its perfectly normal to be concerned about that though, I mean what if you had died?" She looked at Shep. Shep happen to hear a word that sounded like die, and rolled over onto his back, and stuck his legs out while letting his tongue loll out. Hana laughed, and Shep magically lightened the mood. For her at least. "Not you Shep, you silly dog." She rubbed his belly and he opened his eyes and picked his head off the ground to give her a canine smile. She laughed again.
Chloe was indeed gone, which made his question more awkward for her. Again, they were basically alone. she felt that tension she had felt earlier and it was going to drive her nuts if she had to go through that again. She turned pink and Shep rolled back onto his belly. Hana debated talking about it for a minute, but decided that it had been enough of a failed mission just this morning. "Well... Have you ever had a-..." She almost said crush on your babysitter. She caught herself, that was a horrible example. She needed to think about this better. "You... Y'know when..? Like you're..." Hana was really failing at this. This was very awkward and the dog had lifted his head to stare at her in confusion. Even the dog knew she was making no sense.
Hana exhaled sharply this was such a pain! why did he need to know so much?! Couldn't he just forget about it? Now she was stuck here trying to explain something that was hard to explain, and that she desperately wished she didn't have to. "Have you ever been embarrassed?" She figured that was a good enough start, of course it was a captain obvious question. Everyone had been embarrassed at least once. Well actually she looked over Alzeid, she couldn't imagine him embarrassed. He seemed too.... She couldn't pin a word on it, but she would find one. Eventually. If she thought about it.
"Okay well, I was embarrassed. Your my doctor, and well yeah... Uhhh... Being alone with you, is like being under a spotlight with my Dad in a clothing shop." That was the best thing she could think of. She mentally started pounding her head on the wall. She just realized she had compared her crush to her father. They had basically no similarities. Maybe a few things, both benign male, that was one of the few. That was not the idea she wanted to give though. Alzeid wasn't nearly old enough to be compared to her father, he was probably about the same age as her eldest brother. Her own father was a klutz, an embarrassing klutz. For some reason she was comparing this situation to the first time she had gone bra shopping. Her father had been all obnoxious and clueless. There had been a nice sales woman to help her that time, but there was no help this time.
"Never mind, that was the worst comparison I could have come up with. You're nothing like my Dad anyways. I guess what I'm saying is... You're my doctor and you know all my dirty secrets. That's awkward." She finally found a way to explain it. She mentally slapped herself for being such a moron. Had she really just stumbled over so many words to find that perfect explanation?! Why had she taken so long to think of something sensible to say. Then she realized she had made another mistake. "But I don't have any dirty secrets! I'm not like that!" Hana turned really red. She was just making this worse, and worse. She was surprised that her voice wasn't changing or something. There was humor in her dog's eyes as he watched this unfold. The dog's tail thumped against the floor as it wagged.
Shep had been the witness of many of Hana's past dates. He had seen it all, every time she had brought a guy to her apartment. Sure he was a silly dog, but he understood that much. he had rarely seen his master so flustered. It was quite amusing. The dog turned his head to study the man that was causing all this fuss. What was so special about him? The dog figured that his master must felt that this particular male, was very important. Hana had actually been alright with dates that Shep had seen int he past... For some reason this guy was different... the dog crossed his front legs, and set his head down on top of them, he was thinking this all over. Smart dog.

[/img] Just as anyone would typically think; it was nice to hear that Alzeid was right. This is referring to when Hana had said that he might be correct about her blowing this out of proportion. He couldn’t help but to find that part to be rather amusing, but then she would go on to ask what would happen if he had died? That was a good question, what would happen if Alzeid had died? He looked over towards Shep who rolled onto his back and stuck his tongue out. It had worked to lighten the mood quite a bit, but once that was said and done, Alzeid would go on to speak. ”That’s an interesting question..” He continued. ”Of course, I would be incapable of even imagining such a thing accurately, since I am myself.. However, since you’re not me, it would be easier for you to estimate that situation.” He paused for a moment. ”So, Hana.. What would happen if I had died?” Unintentionally, Alzeid was very bothersome sometimes; but, really, he couldn’t help it, he was just curious, and this is one of those answers that he could not acquire by himself.
It wasn’t long before Alzeid found himself listening to Hana attempting to explain what had been bothering her earlier. He didn’t know she was going to ask him if he had ever had a crush on his babysitter; honestly, if she had asked that, it would only confuse him because he wasn’t babysitting her; and he never recalled even having one while he was younger. Thankfully, she didn’t ask that, but as she continued to stutter, he began to feel bored. Why was she so hesitant to speak properly? Had he succeeded in breaking her? It was a good thing that he was a patient man or he would have flat out told her to spit it out. If she had something to say; why dilly dally with it? Perhaps that was just some of his mother’s influence shining into his thoughts; she was an interesting woman; in fact, Alzeid recalled almost feeling intimidated by her when he was much younger. Nowadays, Alzeid had only thought of his own mother as an annoying, senile senior citizen... Well, she wasn’t quite there yet..
Apparently, Hana’s pointless stuttering stopped for a moment as she had practically blurted out the question as to if he had ever been embarrassed. ”Hasn’t everyone?” Of course he had been embarrassed at least one time within his life; it definitely wasn’t often, but he certainly remembered each incident clearly so that he could try his best to prevent anything like that from ever happening again. He would never tell her what it was exactly; she would just have to trust that there had been embarrassment within his life at least a few times by now.... Such as earlier; it was embarrassing to get sick from a medical mistake that was partially his own fault.
When Hana went on to explain that she was embarrassed, and that being alone with him was like being in the spotlight in a clothing store with her dad... Well, he didn’t really know what to think about that. Needless to say, he was shocked to hear a comparison like that, especially since she had been referring to him. It worried him to think that anything about himself had reminded Hana of her father; he wasn’t that old, was he? He knew he wasn’t getting any younger, but that didn’t mean that he was comparable to such an age yet... right?? Oh dear, how worrisome. ”Am I really THAT awkward?” he thought towards himself. Alzeid knew that he could make situations uncomfortable, but, really, if he had been awkward, his intentions weren’t to be anything near THAT kind of awkward.
A little bit of stress was lifted when Hana went on to say that that had been a terrible example and that he was nothing like her dad. Thank goodness; it seems Alzeid would be safe for another day. As she went on to mention her dirty secrets, Alzeid nodded in understanding. They weren’t really ‘dirty’ secrets, but the thought that Alzeid likely knew Hana’s body better than her would probably be very unsettling. He couldn’t help but to give her a smirk when she mentioned that she didn’t have any dirty secrets and that she wasn’t that type of person. ”You know, it’s really none of my concern. If you have dirty secrets, you have dirty secrets; it’s as simple as that.” He continued. ”Really, it wouldn’t be in my rights to judge you.” he spoke in an assuring tone because his word was true; if she had dirty little secrets, he couldn’t judge.
That reply of Hana’s had brought up an interesting thought. The way she had insisted that she wasn’t the type to have dirty secrets.. Does that mean Hana cared about what Alzeid thought of her? From what she said, she didn’t want him thinking that she had any dirty secrets...So, wouldn’t that count as a ‘yes’? It wasn’t long after when Alzeid decided to bring something up to make this a little less awkward for Hana in terms of being one of her doctors. ”....As for being your doctor; I really doubt that any of us can help that.” He continued. ”If it comforts you to know; there is no judgement, nor emotion on my operating table. Only discovery.” He paused for a moment. ”With that in mind, anything that happens there will stay there. You don’t need to be so self conscious around me.” Perhaps explaining one of his main policies would help her to feel less awkward around him? It didn’t really matter to him if she felt uncomfortable around him; but, he was just trying to help her out of it before it got to a serious level.

Hana was stopped in her tracks when she heard Alzeid ask for her idea of what would happen if he died. It was like he was doing this on purpose! Well she thought about it a little. Personally, she would probably be mad at him. The idiot went and died before giving me a chance! She thought coldly. She then tried not to be such a short fuse and think about other stuff. It would be a set back for the SRA. She thought so anyways, he was one of the best doctors around here. He had done a good job on her anyways... The hairs on the back of her nose rose up for a moment reminding her of that embarrassing thing.
She had formed some kind of an answer in her head. Then she just decided to go with it. "Well, the Academy would be set back a little. Your a helpful doctor, and I guess a few test subjects might get screwed with some other crappy doctor. I would have one less person to follow around under Peter's directions. Your body would probably get a crappy funeral too. I don't even know what they do with all the people who don't make it..." Hana made sure to keep her personal feelings out of it. she said it with more of a matter of fact tone than an emotional one. By the end of the answer she almost seemed to be dissing the SRA for its crappy funerals. Hana also referred to his dead body as well a body. It had always sort of bothered her how dead people were called bodies, but it was nicer to imagine them just empty shells then the person actually being in there. Then again she also just liked remembering their names, so that the last memory anybody had of them would be of Sarah or Rose instead of the bodies...
Later Hana would end up rambling her brains out, and looking like a total idiot. Not that the statement that she was an idiot was completely untrue... Anyways she ended up asking Alzeid if he had ever been embarrassed, and he confirmed that he had. Who hadn't really? She had really asked a dumb question. Soon they were progressing in conversation to the point where it seemed he understood what she was saying. The whole dirty little secrets thing was embarrassing. Yeah, he didn't have the right to judge her, but most people do. She could only imagine what he was thinking... Well she didn't have any dirty secrets! Well sure there were secrets, but they weren't dirty. Not in her opinion anyway.
Hana listened to Alzeid explain that he wasn't doing any judging on the operating table... He only discovered there. Oh boy. She managed not to make any faces. This brought up some new ideas in her head. One was that, she wasn't even capable of making any impressions on him. The second one would be that when you use the word discovery in such context, it sounds very creepy... She just nodded, because she was afraid that her real feelings would come out in some darn squeak.
A minute passed by, and Hana recalled something she had wanted to do earlier. She was supposed to be nursing right now after all. That meant doing the usual stuff every so often. It had been a while since the last time she checked his temperature, and she wanted to see if he was getting better thanks to Dr.Connel. She looked over to Alzeid, "Can I check your temperature again?" Well she approached the topic with a question, as if it were an option. She would find out what his temperature out somehow. She was offering him the easy way. He just let her do it. Any of Hana's past patients would just tell him to let her do it. They might even say she was a bit crazy about her job.
Commonly the first reaction to Nurse Haruka entering a patient's room was relief. A cute young woman with pink hair? That was hardly terrifying. She was pretty nice at first, understanding, to the point. She seemed pretty professional, and that is where people thought they could get around stuff. Like not eating their hospital food. Hana had actually dumped peoples food into a blender and made them drink it before. She had put restraints on them for trying to get up, going so far as to make sure the only thing they could move was their head. Hana could be a bit extreme, but it just showed how much she wanted to take care of her patients. Even if she did end up looking like a psychopath in the process.

Post by Dr. Alzeid Levisque on Jan 11, 2012 6:35:34 GMT
Alzeid watched Hana curiously as she had given it a couple minutes to think about. He was a little impressed with that; really, she seemed like the type to just blurt out anything that came to mind, so the idea of her being thoughtful right now was pretty interesting. Maybe she was just one of those people who took death very seriously? It was a funny concept, and a simple one; everything that can truly live will surely die eventually. So, why would it make any difference if it happened sooner rather than later? Was the idea of passing one’s genes towards the next generation really THAT important if they were just going to alter them, and deform them anyways? Although, that was just one theory; who says this would last forever? The war was bound to start eventually and whenever that came to happen, a lot of them were simply destined to be killed, or even to simply fade away within the enemy’s clutches...
He quietly listened to Hana as she began her theory as to what might happen if he had actually died. Of course the Scarlet Rose Academy would be set back; they would have a difficult time replacing him which is one of the very reasons why he wouldn’t care what his own boss thought of him. They were in no position to fire him; besides, he wasn’t THAT bad anyways; so just because they didn’t like him, doesn’t mean they couldn’t tolerate him for now. Hana went on to explain that some of his patients were likely to get transferred to crappy doctors and that it would give her one less person to follow around. Did she like following him around? She said it like it was a bad thing; but there was no true way to be certain unless Alzeid wanted to ask about it.. And, he didn’t. He felt like he had bothered her enough with this ‘death’ issue, especially when she went on to speak of a shitty funeral. That was another good point; yet, little had she known, he already assigned some basic instructions in his final “will” about how to go on disposing his lifeless body... But, that didn’t guarantee it’ll all go as planned..
The currently ill doctor, Alzeid, only listened. As things progressed, Hana would go on to spew about her troubles. Of course he understood; but there was some doctor-patient confidentiality here; surely she could trust their system... Right? He definitely wasn’t a mind reader, so when Hana had been disturbed by what he had said, really, he caught no signs of it. He didn’t mean the kind of discovery she was thinking about. He was referring to how a person could begin to resemble an animal given a few injections and a few surgeries. It was a rather amazing process to witness. If he had caught how creepy that word sounded within that context, then he may have stuttered and corrected himself, but since he didn’t notice, and since he assumed that they were on the same page, he had not bothered to even give the slightest effort to do so.
A few minutes passed by. Alzeid was rather amazed by Hana’s dog. You would assume that a dog that size would be aggressive and have some desire to run around the house, or at the very least, go about sniffing everyone’s hands to get to know them better. Shep seemed like a lazy dog.. Lazy, but very well behaved. With that being said, it was easy to enjoy his company even though he wasn’t really doing anything right now. Alzeid’s dark eyes drifted over towards Hana’s as she asked him if she could take his temperature again. He appreciated that she asked; most others probably would have gotten out a thermometer and told him to bend over like a good boy. Thank goodness that wasn’t the case; it would have made things all the more awkward between the both of them. Well, it wasn’t like either of them should be feeling awkward now anyways, right? Hana was allowed to vent her worries just a moment ago, and Alzeid had confirmed that it was no big deal, so everything should be fine now..
As difficult as it may be for you, or anyone else to imagine, Dr. Alzeid Levisque had an annoying side. Oh yes, it was quite the shocker, was it not? ...Probably not, some of it had already showed through. It wasn’t quite that annoying though; he was stubborn which was fairly easy to say about him, but in another form, he was very questioning. Some of it could be seen as deep thoughts, or even just being strangely cryptic, but some people found it annoying. He would not object to having his temperature taken right now; but that never meant he needed to entirely agree either. ”I don’t know.” He spoke in a soft tone, replying to Hana’s request. ”..Can you?” Can she take his temperature? Was she capable? He knew she was capable; but the way she had first phrased her own question had really just provoked a more ‘challenging’ response from him, rather than an accepting one.

Post by Hana Haruka on Jan 15, 2012 5:22:07 GMT
Hana listened to his reply, and was immediately annoyed. He was asking stupid questions now. Of course she could. He was probably pointing out that she should have said, "May I?" But she had said, "Can I?" Hana knew that it was her own fault for phrasing her question wrong, but still he didn't have to be so persnickety! Begrudgingly she looked at the floor, instead of rolling her eyes which would have been easier. "Yeah, I can actually." She answered, the tone in her voice causing Shep to look up at her. He was sensing some tension here... Hana almost seemed a bit angry by now? Why the sudden mood swings? Well she was a female after all, and they are known for their emotional instability, as some might put it.
Shep watched curiously as his master stood up and walked over to Alzeid, sitting down next to him and reaching out for him. He had no idea what in the heck was going on. There was no collar in her hand, so why was she reaching up for his head? She didn't have a thermometer so she wasn't playing doctor, so what was she up to? Shep had no idea that his annoyed master was just trying to take Alzeid's temperature as quickly as possible to prove that she could. He had no idea how Alzeid was going to react to this. The dog watched in curiosity, not really understanding any of it, but just watching. He didn't move much, just enjoyed it all from his own point of view.
This was all taking place as Chloe was on her way back from where she had been. She had managed to grab a backpack, and scour her closet for clean clothes. She had found an off white, orange tinted, short sleeved blouse. Accompanying that blouse was another one of dark forest green, with less ruffles then the first. Along with that she had thrown in a pair of black basketball shorts and a pair of black spankies shorts. She threw in one pair of flip flops, and one pair of knee high socks. Chloe also grabbed her toothbrush, toothpaste, and a hair brush. It had taken her a little while to scour her messy room for all of these items, but she had found them. She grabbed a dog bone for good measure. Zipping closed the backpack she felt she could manage with what she had packed. It was surprising how well she had prepared herself.
Chloe had closed the door behind her, but never locked it. She didn't really care if people tried getting in. If they got in, she would just track their scent, hunt them down, and rip out their throats with her own jaws, then make sure to get her items back in their proper places. Which was pretty much on the floor since she was so unorganized. She had received scolding in the past about her mess but no one had forced her to clean it yet. She planned on keeping it that way. No one bothered her about much besides her more prominent behavior problems. Sometimes she wondered why people were always trying to change her here. They changed the way she looked, the way she thought, the way she acted, the way she felt about other people, and a multitude of other things. It was very difficult to stay the same in this place.
Her footfalls would go unheard in the hallways. It was surprising how few people were in the hallway. It made travel very easy. Chloe became guilty of a bit wondering quickly. She found herself traveling in the wrong direction, and then had to follow her scent trail back to where she had last known where she was going. This place was so huge it was easy to get lost. Chloe had lived here all her life, well what she could remember of it anyway, but she could still get lost when her mind wandered. With few directional signs this place was a maze. The uniform white was boring, and and confusing.
She was soon on the right track, and on her way back to Alzeid's apartment. It wouldn't be long now until she was reunited with her new object of obsession, and rival, and that dog... No way was Chloe sharing her dog bone, that was her chew toy. Chloe would have to dominate Shep if he tried taking her bone. Yep serious problems.

Alzeid honestly couldn’t help but to feel a little amused. There was a short pause of silence; it was nice, it was peaceful. Sadly, he knew it wouldn’t last long. It never did when he had guests over. Technically, Hana wasn’t a guest, was she? Did a nurse on business count as a ‘guest’? That was a very tough call... He knew that Shep was probably considered as a guest, he was friendly enough. Meanwhile, Chloe was just a nuisance bother inconvenience pest special guest. Well then, in that case, since two of them were guests already, didn’t that just make Hana one by the majority? The definition of guest varied, but one of them was simply something along the lines of: “A person who spends some time at another person’s home for some social activity such as a visit, party, dinner, etc. etc.” This wasn’t much of a social event, now, was it? Perhaps Alzeid was just over thinking things again?
The air around them began to feel heavy with the unmistakable vibe of annoyance. It would have been coming from Hana; and towards such a thing, Alzeid couldn’t help but to smirk. It was funny to him how annoyed she was getting just by simply pointing out the flaw in what she said. Oh well, certainly she would be able to get over it without lashing out and destroying any of her surroundings. That would just be overreacting. He silently watched as she began to reply, explaining that she could take his temperature. Alzeid never doubted her to begin with, so he remained quietly seated where he was and watched her stand, only to walk towards him.
This actually confused Alzeid a little bit. Especially when Hana took a seat beside him. When she said that she wanted to take his temperature; he assumed she was going to use a thermometer. What was she doing? As her small hand began to near him; Alzeid leaned away a bit. Her hand apparently persisted to get a little closer. This made him feel nervous. His own pale hand shot up in a quick reflex; catching Hana’s small wrist, stopping it from coming any closer. Needless to say, the hand he put partially around her wrist was cold. It was practically a doctor’s job to have cold hands; or so it would seem sometimes.
Speaking of being a doctor... ”What exactly are you doing?” the key word in asking that would have had to be exactly. He didn’t put much emphasis on it, but that’s because he didn’t think he would need to. The albino serpent’s dark eyes watched the silver parrot closely. She had gotten too close without telling him what she was up to. As a doctor, Alzeid was obviously used to being the one doing all the ‘touching’ and whatnot. This was a switch in the roles; and it made him feel uncomfortable. He didn’t like anyone laying a finger on him unless he trusted them, or unless they honestly explained their precise intents. He didn’t trust Hana quite as much as he could have. She was better than some, but he still wanted to know how she was going to do this before giving her permission to do so. In other words; he was no longer challenging her, he was making sure she would be safe enough to trust.

Hana was annoyed further by him trying to make the distance between her hand and his forehead larger. Why was he trying to get away?! Did he have some problem with this? Well, she didn't care anymore. She was going to get his temperature, whether he liked it or not, thermometer or no thermometer. When is pale hand made contact with her wrist in an attempt to stop her attempts of taking his temperature Hana noticed immediately. He felt cold... Was that a bad thing? What if he was going into hypothermia? She was all worried again now, and if she could just get an idea of what his temperature was she would know if she should get him a blanket or something. But she didn't know what his approximate temperature was since he wasn't making this easy.
Hana found his question sounding stupid. For these reasons; 1. Hana had just asked if she could take his temperature. 2. He had asked if she could take his temperature, which was clarifying that he understood that the topic of conversation was Hana taking his temperature. 3. She had replied yes, which any person with a brain would know meant that she would. 4. She had approached him in a way that made it seem like she was going to just use her hand to check his temperature, he should have been able to figure that out at least.
So unless Alzeid was suddenly mentally handicapped, or had forgotten the old fashioned way to take a temperature, he was asking a dumb question. "What do you think? I'm taking your temperature." She said, annoyance tainting her words. She was worried, but you wouldn't be able to tell because her tone sounded like she was repeating directions to a naughty fourth grader. Hana liked kids, but her patience wasn't usually awarded with anything besides a "patience is a virtue" comment. Hana continued to reach for his head, without pausing to think that she was invading his personal space and being unreasonable. If he didn't want to be touched, it would be easier to get a real thermometer and let him do it himself. Of course Hana was being stubborn, and was just proving that she could do something like some kid would if they were taunted.
"Bet you can't jump it." Hana had glared at her brother, always with the challenges. She had looked at the home made ramp, she could see where the nails had been hammered in, and the angels that would send her into the gravel. If she took the wrong angel she would probably scrape up her elbows and knees. She was wearing a red helmet and her shoulder length hair was in pigtails sticking out. She decided to go with it, she could do this. "I bet I can." She said, picking up her foot and pushing her bike forward. Soon she was full speed ahead and on the wooden ramp. There was about three seconds of air before she splashed into the bank of the stream that was draining off the pond. She landed on hands and knees with the bike painfully portioned on top of her left leg. Her eyes watered but she grinned, kicking off the bike and getting off the ground to wave at her brothers. "Who didn't make it?" She had done it. They were trying to see if they could get the ramp would work, and if they could get some air. She had done both, but no one had actually planned the landing, except they wanted to get over the little stream, which she had landed on the far side of. Mission accomplished. Her brother Skylar would follow after her, crash worse, and end up with a sprained wrist on the landing. Taunting had gotten both of them to do some pretty dumb stuff, but they grinned about it later. Sure their determination to prove that they could do something had got them some boo-boos, but at l;east they had some bragging rights. And something to laugh about after getting scolded for giving into peer pressure by their father.
This situation with Alzeid just brought on the memory. There was no evidence that she was thinking about it, she had managed to push a bit harder, and ended up basically getting onto his lap trying to take his temperature. There was no evidence that she was sort of enjoying this little conflict. Hana wasn't the type who could really have fun without a little bit of trouble every once in a while. The product of wrestling in the mud with a pack of boys all the time she guessed. Apparently she had missed that more than she thought. OF course she didn't let any of that slip into her expression. She was still to annoyed with her victim patient to let him catch even a glimpse of it. Really all those thoughts were more like in the background of what was going on in the forefront of her mind. "Just hold still!" She exclaimed as she continued reaching out for him. She was using both hands now, and it depended on how much he planned on struggling and being annoying on how far she got. She wasn't going to be nearly as strong as he was, he was a lot bigger, male, and she was pretty sure a snake would have an easy time eating a parrot. Anyone who stumbled upon this might get the wrong idea about what Hana was trying to do to him, thank goodness no one else was in the room.
Chloe was almost there. She toted her backpack, and her flip-flops made smacking sounds since she could never really walk in them properly. She wasn't good at this whole clothing thing, even if she had lived in them for the majority of her life. It seemed like her mind wanted to push them away a little bit more each day. Her human instinct to want to cover up her fur/skin fading just a little e bit by bit. she was probably a matter of seconds from being able to hear what was going on behind the door she was approaching. It would be a few seconds longer then that before she could put her hand on the door knob. After that there was just the turning and pushing open the door to do. Yeah, Chloe knew just what she was about to do, she was going back to spend some time with Hana and the rivals. One was a rival for love, and the other was a rival for dog treats. She had no idea how big her competition was... Despite Shep's large size.

The air around them was definitely feeling heavier. Hana’s annoyance almost appeared to seep through the apartment now; how unpleasant. Oh well, certainly she would be able to get over it soon enough.. Of course, Alzeid thought Hana was just overreacting, and then she went on to say what she had. In hearing that, now, Alzeid couldn’t help but to feel annoyed. Needless to say, the vibe in the room was full of tension and annoyance coming from the both of them. It was now like some sort of strange battle, full of intensity and excitement. Sort of like a staring contest; well, not exactly, but the concept of tension was the same. Yet, at this point in time, Alzeid wasn’t really trying to be stubborn; he just wanted to know what she was planning to do. If she was going to feel his forehead, there was no rule against saying that she would do that before reaching out to actually try... right?
He was seriously beginning to feel like his space was being invaded, and he really wasn’t a fan of it. They continued to struggle for a couple moments longer before Hana was practically sitting on his lap, still trying to take his temperature. For the first few moments, he hardly took any note of this, but when he did realize that she was on his lap.. Well, that only served to make him feel even more uncomfortable. Especially when Hana would go on to tell him to hold still... The thought practically made him shiver. What was she going to do to him now? Was she still innocently here to check his temperature, or was there now more than that? What were her true intentions?
That was probably the exact moment when Alzeid realized that struggling was getting him nowhere; so, he stopped. He rested his hands down by his sides as he would now allow Hana to do her job. He only struggled because he was afraid she would get into his personal space; and yet, struggling was what caused her to come into his personal space. Really, this concept was a frustrating one. If he hadn’t struggled she would have still gotten into his space... Just not nearly this badly. How frustrating. ”...Get off.” He spoke in a somewhat quiet tone; his voice was mostly calm, and it was also a little shaky. He was annoyed, a little frustrated, and extremely uncomfortable. He allowed Hana to do her job without too much struggling; now, it was her obligation to get off his lap before he threw her off!!! Who would he have been kidding? He wouldn’t have dared to do such a thing; he re-designed Hana’s body himself, and he knew how fragile she was. It was no excuse to snap the girl in half just because she ended up much too far in his personal bubble.. Still, it was tempting.

Hana felt triumphant when he finally stopped struggling against her. He told he to get off but she just wanted to feel his forehead really quick before she went anyway. For some reason it hadn't occurred to her that she was sitting on the man's lap. call it a blond moment if you will, she was totally oblivious to how this could make him uncomfortable. She put her hand on his forehead very quickly, and she could feel that he felt pretty normal. That relieved her, she had been a bit worried he was too cold. She was pulling her hand away when Chloe burst in the door and saw all of this.
What Chloe saw when she pushed the door open was Alzeid sitting on the couch, hands at his sides. With him was Hana, pulling her hand away from his head area. Hana was sitting on his lap! Chloe turned red, obviously getting the wrong idea. She stared at them, "What are you doing?!" She said, totally caught off guard, and suddenly VERY jealous. Hana finally realized that, hey, wait a minute, I'm on his lap! Hana turned red and got off Alzeid as fast as she could, and of course tripped and fell on her butt. It figured she would get all clumsy from the surprise. It definitely hurt her butt, but it wasn't much of a concern. Chloe was just as flabbergasted.
Hana realized she was going to have to explain this. "I was just checking his temperature!" She blurted it, getting defensive. Chloe gave her a dirty look. "And I bet it was getting pretty hot?" Chloe was making a deliberate bash at Hana. Hana's jaw dropped, "WAS NOT!" She said, her voice getting all high pitched and squeaky again. Hana clamped her mouth shut, she didn't want everyone think she had a broken voice box, she had already had her voice screw up too many times today. Chloe being the child like person she was, "Was too!" Hana face palmed. Chloe huffed and sat next to the big mutt, stroking his fur, then looked at Alzeid. She gave him a challenging look, "your my rival. Watch your back." Yep, and she said it with a perfectly straight face. Chloe was pretty serious about this apparently.
Hana turned to look at Chloe from her own spot on the floor, where she had landed in her panic. She gave Chloe a weird look. Chloe was seriously weird. Well that's what Hana thought anyways. Shep rolled over onto his belly again and allowed Chloe to continued stroking his fur. He had witnessed the whole thing with his master and Alzeid. He had no idea what they were up to. He figured they were just playing. What else would they be doing? Shep didn't know what it meant to take a temperature after all. Despite his master being a nurse... She didn't talk much about medical stuff at home. maybe when she was studying she would read her textbooks out loud, but that was about it. Shep usually slept through that anyways. So the dog simply let the she-wolf pet him. Ignoring the tension that still steeped in the room.

Like a ‘good boy’ Alzeid sat with his hands resting by his sides and just allowed Hana to do her job. The sooner she felt that he was fine, the sooner she would get off of him. He was still tempted to push her off, or even snap her arm in half to prevent her from wishing to touch him again.. Perhaps he was just a little sensitive with this sort of thing? In either case, Hana reached for his forehead, and if he was correct, there was a brief moment of relief portrayed in her expression. He felt fairly normal despite having cold hands. This was just something he was used to; it seemed his hands had trouble keeping warm while the rest of him.. Well, it wasn’t quite as bad, but it definitely wasn’t a ‘joy ride’ during the winter months.
Then, it happened. Why do these things always happen? It was apparent that Alzeid had bad luck in these situations; people always, ALWAYS returned to see him at the most awkward times. Still, it was a surprise that Chloe would be one of the many people to torment him with their inconvenient timing. He froze as she entered the room and asked them what they were doing. What were they doing? He didn’t even want to answer that because he wasn’t entirely sure anymore. Supposedly, Hana was ‘innocently’ trying to take his temperature, but seeing her on his lap... Well, he was beginning to doubt that was the case.
It didn’t take long for Hana to get off his lap and fall to the ground not far from him. What a klutz.. He looked back and forth between her and Chloe as the conversation progressed. When Hana went on to exclaim that she was only taking his temperature; well, despite how tormenting this may sound, he couldn’t help but to ask about it now. ”Is that really what you were doing?” He continued. ”The medical school I attended mentioned nothing about getting onto the patient’s lap.” He wasn’t really trying to make the situation more difficult for Hana, he just... Well, actually, yes, he kind of was. But, that’s what she deserved for getting into his personal bubble like that... Can you really blame him?
Not long after, Chloe would go on to mention his temperature... and how it was getting hot. Oh dear. Why did she need to be so awkward? He looked over towards Hana who squawked an awfully defensive reply. This made him a little nervous; he hated that sound so much.. Maybe he should take Hana in for a check up? He doubted that he would need to actually get the scalpel or anything; but, maybe there was something he could do to make the noise less brain scrambling? Alzeid’s thoughts were soon taken from that path as he heard Chloe go on to mention that he was her newest rival. Oh, alright then, that sounded like plenty of fun. Wait, what!?
Of course Alzeid understood what a rival was, but he felt like he didn’t need one. Especially if they were someone like Chloe. He couldn’t imagine her actually posing the slightest threat to him; however, her presence would just annoy him if she thought he was actually going to take this whole thing seriously. So, being the reasonable man he was.. Well, obviously he wasn’t all the time.. But, being sensible for the moment, he would go on to speak his mind. ”I don’t want you as a rival.” He didn’t want her as anything other than a stranger. ”If this is about Hana, you can have her.” He continued. ”She’s not my type anyways.” All this was said with a straight face; a relaxed tone and a calm expression. He didn’t care if he hurt Hana’s feelings by saying that; he never saw her as more than a friend, and he was oblivious to the mere idea that she may have seen him as more. In any case, if saying such a thing got Chloe off his back... Well, then that was just fine by him..

Hana was totally freaking out already, and of course. OF COURSE, Alzeid felt the need to make it worse. She turned red, out of frustration and embarrassment. Chloe was now turned to Hana, giving her an accusing look. Hana felt the need to defend herself, "That's because its old fashioned. You don't need to stick a thermometer in someone's mouth to figure out if they are burning up or freezing. And excuse me for not finishing my degree, I was sort of hit by a van." Hana was clearly ticked off. Chloe was a bit surprised by Hana getting so touchy. It was comforting enough though, maybe nothing did happen?
Hana would find the topic of rivals a bit embarrassing. She protested what Chloe was saying, and apparently Alzeid also felt like he needed to tell Chloe to back off. The way he put it was pretty much an insult to Hana, well she took it as one anyway. Chloe laughed, the way he said it was quite funny. As if he thought he could be real competition for Chloe even if he did want Hana. Hana had about one second of shock, taking that comment like a slap. It made her feel very stupid, like she was lusting after some unreachable goal this whole time, and actually thinking that maybe it was possible to reach it. Inevitably, Hana would be ticked off. Severely ticked off.
Chloe was the first to speak up, "You wouldn't have been a real challenge anyways." Somehow Chloe had turned her jealous steam into an ego burst and was extremely arrogant at the moment. Hana was already angry, and having Chloe going around proclaiming that she would claim Hana was very irritating. Hana glared at Chloe, and pretty much took it all out on her. "Are you an idiot? I'm not interested in a yappy mutt, stop annoying me and everyone else. I'd rip out my own feathers before I willingly spent anymore time then I'm required to with you." She had a very harsh tone, and Chloe's eyes went wide. You could see her ears tilting back more and more until Chloe's ears were flat to her head. Chloe's tail didn't even twitch. Shep had lifted his head, he could understand quite a few words that Hana had just said. He looked at Chloe, and felt bad for you. Shep looked at Hana, knowing that his master was just upset, about what he wasn't sure. Hana didn't really mean it, she was just angry. Chloe actually did look rather hurt, she recovered after a moment.
"I'm not a mutt." Chloe said simply, and then let it roll off. Hana looked away, she knew that it was wrong of her to take out her frustrations on Chloe. Even if Chloe was annoying, perverted, and obnoxious. She didn't really deserve that. Chloe had gotten over the shock of Hana's words and understood that she had been already upset. Plus, Chloe knew that a lot of people didn't like her. Chloe's ears perked up again, and she glanced at Alzeid, "But I guess being a mutt would be better than being a snake." Chloe smirked, and was over it just like that. Chloe was teasing Alzeid, she didn't like him that much anyways. Hana got up and walked off to the bathroom. She didn't want to be near those two. Hana used an acceptable pace, she was covering up the fact that she really wanted to stomp out. Shep stood up, and stretched. Then sat back down. Looks like he was still being lazy, and wasn't going to leave Chloe since at the moment she was petting him. Shep turned his head and was at eye level with Chloe since she was sitting too. He was a huge dog after all, so being eye level with sitting people was normal.
"I think Hana is broken, do you think so too?" Chloe sounded almost completely serious as she asked Alzeid that. What she meant by broken was ill, but Shep's ears perked. He knew who Hana was, and what broken meant. Hearing that his master was broken was awfully worrying. Shep looked over to Alzeid, expecting an answer. Shep knew enough that he could tell that Alzeid would either say yes or no, and that would tell Shep if his master was broken. Hana was in the bathroom, washing her face. She avoided getting any water on her hair. It was a bit comforting to groom herself, that seemed to just be what she jumped to a lot since she became a test subject. However, she was always afraid to get stressed out and over do it. She had heard birds will clean themselves to where they really do pull out their feathers. She kind of regretted getting so touchy and freaking out on Chloe.
Hana dried her face, and checked in the mirror to see if she had left any evidence that she was washing her face. She had to make sure her face looked dry so it didn't seem like she cried or anything. She never remembered being such a crazy person, as she looked at herself she cracked a smile. She was being such a dork, what would her brother's think? They would probably be making fun of her. She deserved it, she sighed, missing them. Which reminded her, she had kind of gone off about coming here early too... She didn't know she was all that mad about it, but had that just come up for no reason, or had it been boiling subconsciously? Hana looked around, what did she really think of this place? Was it okay for her to act like this was just her new medical school, that she was just getting closer to being a real doctor? Or should she be more serious about what was really going on here? Hana was drifting off into murky, uncharted waters while she thought about this.

If you think about it, none of them would have come together of their own will. Well, maybe Hana being near Alzeid made sense, but that was only for the distinct reason that he was sick and she was a crazy nurse who required everyone to be living healthy for her to sleep at night. Perhaps that was an exaggeration; perhaps not. One can only imagine what was going on in that girl’s mind. Speaking of which, it was interesting to have seen Hana get so mad over the issue Alzeid had just found himself bringing up. Sorry, she was hit by a van? Was that her excuse? ”..Then maybe you should have looked both ways before crossing.” This was absolutely ridiculous. Was Alzeid speaking to two young women? Or just a couple of kids who had been so generously put into his care?
It wouldn’t be long before things progressed and Chloe would go on to mention the idea of being Alzeid’s rival. He found it to be unnecessary, so he basically told her to back off. Since he refused to take her seriously; she would just waste his time, and he didn’t need that. Usually he was a busy guy, but today was an exception. Of course it would need to be; he decided to take a sick day from work... Speaking of which; had this meant he would need to call in, or was everything already taken care of with that? Going back to the moment; it seemed Chloe was just flaunting her ego. That honestly didn’t surprise Alzeid; he hasn’t known her for very long but her personality was beginning to feel familiar, or even just plain a simply obvious. He ignored that comment since he didn’t feel like it was worth acknowledging, however, it soon became apparent that Hana did. Honestly, Alzeid was pretty surprised to see Hana telling Chloe off like that. He had no idea that she would eventually snap like that... How intriguing.
A short but awkward silence passed them by before Chloe would claim that she wasn’t a mutt. He could beg to differ; but he stayed out of it instead. This argument didn’t seem like it really involved him. He was dragged into it, like some sort of an accident or big mistake, so now; he was just trying to get out of it. It figures, the moment he thought he would have been nearing the clear; Chloe went on to mention that being a mutt was better than being a snake. ”..Stop trying to drag me into your petty arguments.” His tone sounded calm, but it was laced with venom. Would he have to spell it out for her? Or would she just keep persisting? It seemed she had been trying to annoy the both of them all day... Mission accomplished. Hana left the room and things were quiet again; but unfortunately, not for long. Chloe would go on to ask Alzeid if he thought Hana was broken. It was funny to him since Chloe almost sounded serious about it. ”Of course not.”
He gave it some thought, and he really wasn’t sure if Hana was broken or not. She almost seemed to be, at least, on a more emotional level. Then again, she was a bird. Birds needed space to fly free. Despite the SRA being a large building... It was underground. So, giving it a little bit of thought; now, Alzeid couldn’t help but to come up with an idea. Of course, he wouldn’t use it until later, and certainly it would fix Hana if she really was broken.. To be truthful, Alzeid only gave Chloe the other answer because he didn’t think she would bother Hana about it if she didn’t think she was broken.. Surely, having being spared from that harassment would be something Hana could appreciate if she ever figured it out.
It was kind of funny how Alzeid acted. There were times where he was more than willing to help along with someone’s humiliation; but there were other times where he would help the same person to be spared from that. Maybe this was just a territory thing? Claiming one person at a time to harass and annoy, meanwhile, no one else was allowed to. How strange; but was that anything you couldn’t expect from him? ”What makes you think Hana’s broken?” He was just curious. Was his definition of ‘broken’ the same as Chloe’s? Maybe there was something wrong with Hana that Chloe could pick up, and he couldn’t? That was highly unlikely, he was a doctor; he was good at this kind of thing...Then again, he was also sick; therefore, misguided by his own senses...

Hana was already irritated. Then Alzeid had to go on to say that maybe she should be looking both ways. Oh yeah, maybe she should have. Problem was she wasn't crossing any streets. When someone wants to run you over, they will, whether you look both ways or not. She looked at Alzeid, defending herself again, "I wasn't crossing the street." That was that. She hadn't been crossing the street, so it wasn't her fault. The conversation progressed to toher things. Chloe's announcements of her new rival, Alzeid totally trashing Hana's ego... Oh the joys of life.
Chloe looked over at Alzeid and smirked as he warned her to stop dragging him into arguments. It was rather amusing to the she-wolf, but Hana didn't find any of this amusing. Soon Hana would be excusing herself from their presence for some alone time. Chloe wasn't thrown off by the venom in Alzeid's words, and Hana was too lost in her own self-pity at the moment to notice it really.
The she-wolf did not allow it to get too quite after Hana left. It was just Chloe and Alzeid now, and Chloe brought up Hana. Chloe seemed to think there was something wrong with Hana, but Alzeid quickly dismissed that idea. Chloe looked in Hana's direction again, and back to Alzeid. No, Hana must have something wrong with her... That was all Chloe could come up with to explain all this. It never occurred to her that Hana might just be stressed out because she kept having people like Chloe mess with her. So Chloe was still in the dark on all this.
Alzeid asked why Chloe thought Hana was broken. Chloe shrugged, and patted the back of her head, scratching behind her left ear. "She makes those weird noises; and she seems upset. I thought her insides might be broken. I hope Hana isn't broken, because I was broken once and it hurt!" Chloe used the word broken over and over, mostly because her vocab sucked. She had mentioned her personal experiences with being "broken". She didn't really remember a lot of it, but she remembered enough to have a fear of doctors and such things. She also had a majority of other fears. If she thought about it, she could remember little clips of her past. Nothing important ever seemed to surface from her early memories. She had come to the SRA at the tender age of nine years old after all. Before even entering the building; she had quite the injury to the head.
Hana was in the bathroom still debating how necessary it was for her to ever leave the safety of solitude. She had no idea what the other people in this house were up to at the moment; she could only imagine that Chloe was spouting her annoying nonsense and irritating Alzeid. Part of her was a little happy about that, even though she knew that it wasn't Alzeid's fault that her feelings were squashed in the mud. It wasn't fair of her to wish negative things upon him. However, Hana had a running list going today on screw ups. It was a bad day, and she was just going to have to deal with that. She finished drying off her face, and inspecting her face for any signs of weakness. Hana had to keep her tough guy attitude on; it was her little shell for protection. Hana would leave the bathroom, and return to the living room after a little while. She would mess the end of whatever conversation Alzeid and Chloe were having while she was gone. She looked at Shep, who was being pampered by Chloe's affections, and gave him a look that read traitor. Shep didn't pay attention to that though, so Hana looked at Alzeid. "Are you hungry?" Yeah, maybe cooking would be a good enough distraction, and help pass some time. She was sort of scared to find out what he had in his fridge, considering what Chloe found in the freezer, but she was sure she would live. Or at least she hoped she would. It would be a pretty shabby life story if she died making dinner in the house of a colleague she could comfortably say she didn't know that well. Despite her little crush on the man, and what she had learned today, she knew very little about him... And the way he had talked about her earlier, probably meant it would stay that way.
