Back and forth, back and forth. He was pacing the cell again, he'd been here almost a week and was still holding onto some glimmer of hope that the people who'd grabbed him had just made some horrible mistake. One day they were just going to rush over, open the door, spew apologies in his face, maybe give him a basket of fruit or something, and drive him home. Ray had a clean record, the worst he got up to was the occasional party where 'other' people were taking part in underage drinking, his mother was so insistent about him not letting anyone see him change he tended to avoid alcohol. But even if he did drink was it necessarily underage? He was after all in his forties, or was it his fifties now, he'd kinda lost track.

He wondered what his brother would think when he didn't come home. Would he know that something bad happened? would he come to help him? That frightened him more than comforted him, there were people all over this place, usually who stopped to look at him like he was in a zoo or something. If Carson came here he'd probably just end up in the cell next to him. But then maybe he thought that Ray had skipped town or something, it wasn't beyond him. He'd been sorely tempted to just up and leave, but someone had to take care of mother, and it wasn't going to be Carson.

Oh no, mother was still waiting on the shopping! Was she going to be okay without him there? What if she got sick? Would Carson be able to look after her while he was away?

Questions like this just went on and on in his head as he tried to figure out if his family were alright, for how small it was. It wasn't a pleasant activity, but it kept him from worrying about his own state of affairs, which were truly worrisome. The cell was small, cramped, it made him feel a bit claustrophobic, sometimes he'd imagine the ceiling cracking and whatever was above falling in, crushing him. Such nightmares had woken him now and again, but it didn't really bother him, the nightmares weren't as frightening as the waking world at this point.

Finally he stopped pacing and yanked angrily on the chain, as if he'd have the strength to break it, even if he did have such strength it wouldn't have been with him in human form.

"Lemme out! Lemme out!"

He was shouting as loud as he could, as if that would change anything. But his legs were cramping up from the lack of movement, the cell was depressing, and he just wanted his mother. There was a horrible rancid smell in the cell now. One of his first day here, or was it just yesterday, time seemed not to work the same way behind these walls, at least not for him, but the food he'd thrown at the door in anger certainly did age. Rotting meat mixed with the smell of sweat and fear did not make a nice scent.

Kage paced back and forth in his cell. He counted a pleasing that his was a ten yard by ten yard cell, and large enough to pace in. Kage shifted, going from human to wolf form in a blink of an eye and back, his boxer trailing around his waist. He had requested a pair that would change shape to fit his wolf form so he didn't have to worry about changing. Damn, Kage wished he had a werewolf form. He could reach the ceiling then. Kage paced back and forth, wondering what he was doing. He had been stuck in here a week since his last little outting. he has happy he had a bathroom in here. Kage shifted again, his wolf form still pacing around the room as jericho and jan argued.

"Let the boy be jericho," Jan was saying."Hey, I want him to draw our faces into the wall. is that so bad>: jericho countered as Kage shifted again. He was getting faster at it but not fast enough. Kage looked up at the door as he heard yelling, and tilted his head, then slamed himself at the bars. \

"HEY SHUT UP! YOUR NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT GOTS IT BAD!" he said, yelling enough so the other person would hear him. Kage was angry at that. Angry at himself. Angry at the rose. Kage yelled and in a flash He was Holding his hand in pain as there was a dent in the door. He punched it so fast that no one could have seen it. Kage spit in the trash can near the door and rolled his eyes, licking his hand.

"Lemme go!" he screamed. His voice was tired and raw from shouting for so long and you could hear it in him. Not just now, but he's been screaming for four days, or was it longer? he wasn't sure. Time was strange in a cell. He wanted to annoy the staff, maybe they'd let him go if he bugged them enough. The fact that they could kill him without a second thought hadn't yet sank in.

He perked up as he heard someone shouting a little bit away from him and dropped the chain, getting to his feet and pressed his face against the bars trying to see who it was coming from. He'd been so wrapped up in his own little world which had been turned upside down he'd forgotten there were other people down here who weren't, for lack of a better word, staff.

"Easy for you to say! you probably killed people or something!" He shouted half thinking this place was some kind of prison or something, with the drugs running through his system and the lack of daylight his brain was not running at full capacity "I don't belong here! I haven't done anything!"

Ray scowled in the general direction of whoever had shouted before trying to catch sight of a guard, or 'something'
"I have rights you know?!" he bellowed "I demand a lawyer! A phone call! Something!" he shouted, his voice giving out at him with the last word from over use and he just sat by the bars sadly, he wanted to go home.

[Kage Setos]

Kage smirked at the stupid werewolf. He could hear his stupid voice ringing out. Kage laughed at the killing comment. He might be 14 mentally, but he had his share of the battle field."You could say that, but they attacked my family," Kage said, sitting with his back to the door. Gods, he missed them. he smiled as tears came to his face. Bella, and kylar. he knew that kylar was fine, and if the rumers were true, they had adopted somone. he was kind of unsure how he felt about that, But again, if rumers were true, there was a family connection. That would make it ok. They weren't replacing him.

"Boy, none of us belong here. I am just an innocent as you," Kage said, growling as jan and jericho started to really argue, throwing chairs and stuff around. Course, it was kind of pointless. The chairs just phased through the other and vanished before they hit the floor, each still unhurt. Kage was giving it five minutes before they were making out.

Kage laughed at the mention of a phone call."What type of werewolf are you? Phone call? Rights? Under zane your lucky to have the right to breath. and under Cabot, we weres are like a sub-species to her. Your lucky to be alive." Kage smirked at that, knowing they wouldn't kill him. His condition was to rare, to much of a rarity to kill. One in a life time. Or so he had been told. He would kill for a werewolf form, so he could rip the bars off. Kage sighed, looking up and said," Kid, you have no idea what this place is, do you?" he was suddenly very very tired, and felt a thousand years old. Kage rubbed his forehead as his prediction came true and jericho and jan were on the floor. Kage just closed his eyes, not wanting to see this. Kage stood up and looked out of the bars, looking at the other werewolf's prison and asked," So what is your name puppy?"

Ray was still loopy from some of the medications he'd been given, some were untested to see how they would effect him, others were tranquilizers for when he was 'too much' for the staff, like when he started trying to bite them. Ray wasn't as careful as other wolves when he came to that, mostly due to ignorance, he'd bitten Carson before and it did nothing to him but make him bleed, beyond that he didn't really have any experience with what he was.

He paused at that family comment, Ray had his mother and brother and no one had ever bothered them before this, it was so out of the blue he had trouble believing it had ever happened.
"If you'd killed people you can't be all that innocent..." he muttered trying to rationalise it to himself in a way that meant he'd be released.

What Kage said next jarred him. This guy knew he was a werewolf? Almost no one did. He'd been hidden from the world because of it and this guy just 'knows'?! He opened and closed his mouth like a fish out of water trying to figure out what he could possibly say to such an out right thing.
"W-werewolf...?" he muttered dumbly and inwardly smacked himself for it, idiot, it wasn't like he didn't know what a werewolf was! But maybe this guy was one too? he smelled funny, the same way Carson did, but Ray had never met one that wasn't Carson...except those guy's who'd grabbed him...Was that why they were here? Someone had found out what he was and locked him away? That thought chilled him to his core.

"Are you a...a wolf?" he asked cautiously not sure what answer he wanted "I don't know these people. Are they wolves too?" He stood, gripping the bars tightly, his knuckles turning white.

"No...I thought it was a prison or something..." he muttered trying to get a better look of Kage "Is there a way out of here? Something I have to sign? I have money! Please, my mothers too old to care to herself..." He looked hopeful that one of the guards might turn to him and realise their mistake in putting him there

"Ray...Roland..." He frowned at the 'puppy' comment indignantly "I'm in my fifties, stop treating me like I'm six."

[Kage Setos]

Kage laughed and said," What are you? Dumb or just stupid?" Kage laughed, but then stopped, looking out from the bars as the boy asked another question. Kage looked at him through the bars and asked," You really don't know, do you?" Kage laughed insanely and fell backwards onto the padded floor. It was the only peice of padding in the cell he left. Kage continues laughing hysterically but stopped suddenly, flinging himself back at the bars, a look of insanity on his face.

"you don't know your heritage, do you?" Kage asked, smiling and laughed agian."You one of the thousands of werewolf's in this country. your not all alone. and, these people that captured us are humans, taking our DNA to make super solders. THEY DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY!" he shouted as he started offering it to shut him up. Kage calmed down, pissed now at his stupidity.

"Look, ray, these poeple found a young werewolf like you, and captured you. Now, they are going to try and brain wash you to be a loyal puppet and solder, never to do anything but follow orders. You'll be a turic, and no longer ray what's your name."

Kage leaned against the door, his back to it as he sat down, tears to his face again."You think you have it bad? It is because of me a lot of stuff happened." Kage punched the door again, another small dent there and looked up saying," My name is kage by the way. thanks for asking. Prince kage, second heir the the throne." It sounded tired and barley worth saying to him. It was empty here, but he held onto it with his life. It was what connected him to his family. Kage missed them with a passion. The way Kylar and him trained and the parties his bro snuck him to. The way his sister was so submissive and fun and yet bossy. And dad, the way he smiled proudly when Kage did something right or asked a good question. Gods, he missed them. Kage smiled at the age comment and said," My uncle kyo is about two thousand years old. Belive me puppy, your not that special."

Ray watched the other. He wanted to look away but couldn't, he didn't feel scared of the other, he felt sickened, he could see a madness in the others eyes and he wondered how long he'd been here. Loosing his head to this extent...it was a worse fate than death. He gets locked up and stuck with the mad-hatter for company, this just got better and better.

"I do know...sort of..." Speaking to the other in hushed, uncertain, tones "My father was a wolf...he fled from his pack so me and my b-" he paused almost hearing his past tutors yelling at him in the back of his mind "My brother and I...so we could live with mum. I know there are wolves I've just...never met any...."

Ray gave a curt shrug and watched the other laugh at his ignorance "So...you are a wolf..." Ray gave a theatrical sigh, this guy was too annoying for his looks. "Super soldiers?" he scoffed "Right, sure. Hey Guard! I'm not crazy either I swear, if this is a mental place lemme go!" he shouted deciding not to believe anything this crazy guy across from him said for all he knew the other was some sort of schizophrenic.

Ray didn't like listening to this guy, he was insane and he couldn't tell the fantasy from the reality in what this guy said. He was the only one to talk to him in days though and for now it was the best he was getting but he did 'not' want to hear it. Ray was not some toy whose mind could be messed with! he wasn't the strongest, or the bravest, but the other hadn't been brainwashed, and Ray was a hell of a lot more stable than Kage! At least as far as he was concerned.

Ray sighed again, he was beginning to feel sorry for this guy, he was out of his mind and probably scared also, hell anyone who could make up stories like that and believe them must live in a world of terror.
"I should have asked sorry..." he muttered not really sure what was the right thing to say, he didn't want to make it worse for the other or anything "there's no way that stuff is as you see it okay...just...take a breather? I'm sure none of this is your fault, you hardly locked yourself in here.

"two thousand? no one lives that long." he said with confidence and really believed it, he was like a small child who enjoyed life and this whole thing was just a nightmare, but there had to be something logical to grab onto. There's no way he's suddenly stepped into a world of magic and curses, what was this? Harry F****** Potter?

"never meet another wolf like me? wow. Well, Sorry to disappoint," Kage said, bitterness in his voice. He was being mean, and the old kage would have never did that, but having to deal with someone knowing nothing of his species history was just bad. Before he would have patiently explained, now he just wanted to curl up into a coma till his father rescued him. Course, werewolves were social creatures, so Kage was going to talk to this kid. In the months that kage had been here, he felt like he grew up a lot.

"i AM NOT THAT fooking CRAZY," He yelled at the other." THIS ISN'T YOUR PATHETIC HUMAN WORLD ETHER PUPPY! THIS IS A WORLD WHERE IT IS BASICALLY FIGHT OR BE KILLED. and i don't think you have the guts for it," Kage said/yelled. he was really annoyed with this guy right now. he only came up with jericho and jan because of the pressing loneliness. Course, they were lieing on the bed naked right now. Kage rolled his eyes and looked back out the door bars, wanting freedom so badly.

Kage shifted his wolf nose pocking out of the bars as He looked at the other across the hallway and said," yes it is. They only started capturing Werewolves because that Zane overthrew my father as high alpha of all werewolves. Dad would have won if not for that fact I pushed him to watch. And snuck me and bella near Kylar to watch, not in the stand. It gave Zane that opportunity to strike at us, making dad take that blow. And then I jumped into a fight to help Kylar and Then it distracted him from the fight and They got me. I bet he is beating himself up for it, and It is my fault. If not for me, Dad would have won and no werewolves would have been captured on wards," Kage said, lets his paws drop from the door and he curled up on the floor, wolf tears forming in his eyes as that sadness gripped him, but then the idiot made a comment on age.

He shifted into his human form, his boxers constricting to fit his human form and He looked back out the window, wiping his eyes and said," My uncle is a vampire king. Age means nothing to them really. Dad is about two hundred years old anyways. and you really going to act like this is impossible puppy? Your fifty and your still a child. Your going to stop aging around the age of one hundred and five or so. Get used to it puppy." Kage glared at him in his cage. He was such an idiot. this ray. Kage wanted to smack him so bad.
